1 Sicherheitshinweise

• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur entsprechend seiner Bestim-
mung laut Gebrauchsanweisung. Bei Zweckentfremdung
erlischt der Garantieanspruch.
• Das Gerät ist nur für den Gebrauch in Innenräumen konzi-
piert.
• Das Gerät ist nur für den Gebrauch auf achen, ebenen
Betten-Oberächen vorgesehen. Benutzen Sie den
Sleepace Schlafmonitor nicht auf mobilen Betten (wie z.
B. Luftbetten oder Hängematten), da dies das Gerät be-
schädigen könnte.
• Dieses Gerät ist kein Medizinprodukt und kann nicht zur
Verhinderung eines plötzlichen Herztodes genutzt werden.
• Der Gebrauch dieses Gerätes ersetzt nicht die Konsulta-
tion eines Arztes.
• Menschen mit gesundheitlichen Problemen sollten grund-
sätzlich einen Arzt vor der Gerätebenutzung konsultieren.
• Das Gerät darf nicht bei Menschen eingesetzt werden, die
einen Herzschrittmacher benutzen.
• Das Gerät darf nicht exzessiv gebogen werden. Der einge-
baute Sensor könnte beschädigt werden.
• Während des Ladevorganges darf das Gerät nicht benutzt
werden.
• Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht in Kontakt mit Flüssigkeiten
gelangen. Es ist nicht wasserdicht.
• Das Gerät darf nicht in der Nähe von Vibrationsquellen (z.
B. Waschmaschinen, laute Musik etc.) benutzt werden, da
die Vibrationen die Gerätefunktion beeinträchtigen können.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur innerhalb der in den “tech-
nischen Daten” angegebenen Umgebungsbedingungen!
• Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und darüber
sowie von Personen mit verringerten physischen, sen-
sorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an
Erfahrung und Wissen benutzt werden, wenn Sie beauf-
sichtigt oder bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des
Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und die daraus resultierenden
Gefahren verstehen.
• Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
• Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht von Kindern
ohne Beaufsichtigung durchgeführt werden.

2 Vor dem ersten Gebrauch DE
Der Sleepace Schlafmonitor dient der Überwachung von Schlaftiefe, Schlafdauer,
Herz- und Atemfrequenz und von Bewegungen im Schlaf. Somit kann eine umfassende
Analyse der Schlafgewohnheiten erfolgen.
2.1 Lieferumfang und Verpackung
Bitte prüfen Sie zunächst, ob das Gerät vollständig ist und keinerlei Beschädigung auf-
weist. Im Zweifelsfalle nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb und wenden Sie sich an
Ihren Händler oder an Ihre Servicestelle. Zum Lieferumfang gehören:
• 1 MEDISANA Sleepace Schlafmonitor
• 1 USB-Ladekabel
• 1 Gebrauchsanweisung
Verpackungen sind wiederverwendbar oder können dem Rohstoffkreislauf zurückge-
führt werden. Bitte entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigtes Verpackungsmaterial ordnungs-
gemäß. Sollten Sie beim Auspacken einen Transportschaden bemerken, setzen Sie sich
bitte sofort mit Ihrem Händler in Verbindung.
2.2 Laden des Akkus
Um den Akku zu laden, schließen Sie das Gerät mittels des im Lieferumfang enthaltenen
USB-Kabels an den USB-Ladekabelanschluss 6und an einen PC oder Laptop oder ein
USB-Netzteil an. Der USB-Anschluss 6 eignet sich nur zum Auaden, jedoch nicht zur
Übertragung von Daten. Der Ladezustand des eingebauten Akkus wird am Gerät durch
die Indikator-LED 5angezeigt:
Indikator-LED 5blinkt ca. alle 2 Sekunden rot: Akku leer - bitte sofort auaden!
Indikator-LED 5leuchtet konstant rot: Der Akku wird aufgeladen.
Indikator-LED 5leuchtet konstant grün: Der Akku ist vollständig aufgeladen.
Akku-Sicherheitshinweise
• Akku nicht ausbauen oder auseinandernehmen! Explosionsgefahr!
• Von Feuer und Hitzequellen fernhalten! Explosionsgefahr!
• Werfen Sie verbrauchte Batterien und Akkus nicht in den Hausmüll,
sondern in den Sondermüll oder in eine Batterie-Sammelstation im
Fachhandel!
2.3 Download der App
Aktivieren Sie nun Bluetooth®auf Ihrem iOS- oder Android-Gerät.
Laden Sie App herunter und installieren Sie diese auf Ihrem Smartphone. Sie können
die App kostenlos im Google Play Store oder im Apple App Store herunterladen. Suchen
Sie nach „Sleepace“.
iOS: Version 7 und neuer. Android: Version 4.3 und neuer. Ab Bluetooth® 4.0.
WARNUNG
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Verpackungsfolien nicht in die Hände von
Kindern gelangen. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr!

3.1 Aktivieren und Positionieren des Schlafmonitors
Je nach Position der magnetischen Abdeckung 7ist der Sleepace Schlafmonitor
aktiv oder inaktiv:
Inaktiv Aktiv
Der Sleepace Schlafmonitor muss korrekt im Bett zwischen Matratze und dem Bett-
laken positioniert werden, damit er einwandfrei funktionieren kann:
1. Entfernen Sie die magnetische Abdeckung 7.
2. Positionieren Sie das Piezo-Band 2wie abgebildet zwischen Matratze und Bett-
laken, so dass es etwa in Brusthöhe liegt. Das Gehäuse 4wird an der Seite des
Bettes am Laken befestigt.
3. Setzen Sie die magnetische Abdeckung 7so wieder auf, dass das Gerät aktiv ist.
Hierzu den magnetischen Deckel entsprechend um 180° drehen (grüne LED 5
leuchtet kurz auf).
4. Legen Sie sich in Ihr Bett.

3.2 Verbinden mit der App
Stellen Sie sicher, dass Gerät und Smartphone eingeschaltet sind und Bluetooth®auf
Ihrem Smartphone aktiviert ist. Starten Sie die App und stellen Sie die Verbindung zum
Sleepace Schlafmonitor her. Sie müssen beim ersten Mal ein Benutzerkonto anle-
gen. Folgen Sie den weiteren Anweisungen der App, um die Aufzeichnung zu starten.
Der Schlafmonitor muss vor dem zu Bett gehen lediglich über die App aktiviert werden.
Während des Schlafes ist keine Bluetooth®- Verbindung zum Smartphone notwendig.
Sie können dann einschlafen. Bei kurzen Unterbrechungen des Schlafes (z. B. Toiletten-
gang) läuft die Aufzeichnung weiter. Bei längerer Unterbrechung (> 60 Minuten) stoppt
die Aufzeichnung und das Gerät schaltet sich ab. Es muss dann ggf. erneut aktiviert
werden. Nach dem Aufwachen können Sie die Aufzeichnung der Daten über die App
stoppen und damit den Schlafmonitor abschalten, die Schlafdaten werden automatisch
in die App übertragen. Das Gerät schaltet sich bei Nichtbenutzung auch nach 60 Minu-
ten selbsttätig ab. Zum Auslesen der Daten verbinden Sie den Schlafmonitor wieder mit
der App. Sie können nun die Auswertung der aufgezeichneten Daten innerhalb der App
ansehen bzw. historische Daten abrufen.
Die App bietet vielfältige Analysemöglichkeiten zur Bewertung Ihrer Schlafqualität, z.
B. die Aufzeichnung der Herz- und Atemfrequenz, die Bewegungen im Schlaf und die
Schlafdauer etc.
3.3 Fehlerquellen
Hat die Aufzeichnung nicht funktioniert oder kann das Gerät nicht korrekt in Betrieb ge-
nommen werden, gibt es dafür verschiedene Ursachen. Können Sie den Fehler mit den
im Folgenden aufgeführten Fehlerquellen nicht beheben, wenden Sie sich bitte an den
Kundendienst.
Fehler: Keine Verbindung zwischen Schlafmonitor und App.
Lösung: Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Akku des Gerätes aufgeladen ist, die Entfernung
zwischen Gerät und Smartphone nicht mehr als 10 m beträgt und Bluetooth®sowie der
Schlafmonitor aktiv sind.
Fehler: Die Aufzeichnungen der letzten Nacht sind nicht einsehbar.
Lösung: Vermutlich hat keine Bluetooth®-Verbindung bestanden oder die Aufzeich-
nung wurde nicht durch Druck auf „Start“ innerhalb der App gestartet.
Fehler: Es werden Daten aufgezeichnet, obwohl niemand im Bett liegt.
Lösung: Das Gerät erhält Fremdsignale. Sorgen Sie dafür, dass keine Geräte, die Vi-
brationen aussenden (wie z. B. Waschmaschinen, Ventilatoren etc.) in unmittelbarer
Nähe zum Schlafmonitor positioniert sind. Positionieren Sie den Schlafmonitor korrekt
(in Brusthöhe zwischen Matratze und Bettlaken und nicht etwa in Schulter- oder Hüft-
höhe oder auf dem Bettlaken).
Fehler: Es kann kein Benutzerkonto innerhalb der App erstellt werden.
Lösung: Zur Erstellung eines Benutzerkontos benötigt Ihr Smartphone eine funktionie-
rende Internetverbindung.

4.1 Hinweise zur Entsorgung

Dieses Gerät darf nicht zusammen mit dem Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Jeder Verbraucher ist verpichtet, alle elektrischen oder elektronischen Ge-

seiner Stadt oder im Handel abzugeben, damit sie einer umweltschonenden
Entsorgung zugeführt werden können.
Wenden Sie sich hinsichtlich der Entsorgung an Ihre Kommunalbehörde

Im Zuge ständiger Produktverbesserungen behalten wir uns
technische und gestalterische Änderungen vor.
Fehler: Aufzeichnungen sind unklar.
Lösung: Den Schlafmonitor so platzieren, dass nur die Signale einer Person aufge-
nommen werden können.

5 Garantie DE
5.1 Garantie- und Reparaturbedingungen
Bitte wenden Sie sich im Garantiefall an Ihr Fachgeschäft oder direkt an die Service-
stelle. Sollten Sie das Gerät einschicken müssen, geben Sie bitte den Defekt an und
legen eine Kopie der Kaufquittung bei.
Es gelten dabei die folgenden Garantiebedingungen:
1. Auf MEDISANA Produkte wird ab Verkaufsdatum eine Garantie für 3 Jahre gewährt.
Das Verkaufsdatum ist im Garantiefall durch Kaufquittung oder Rechnung nachzu-
weisen.
2. Mängel infolge von Material- oder Fertigungsfehlern werden innerhalb der
Garantiezeit kostenlos beseitigt.
3. Durch eine Garantieleistung tritt keine Verlängerung der Garantiezeit,
weder für das Gerät noch für ausgewechselte Bauteile, ein.
4. Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind:
a. alle Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße Behandlung, z. B. durch Nichtbeachtung
der Gebrauchsanweisung, entstanden sind.
b. Schäden, die auf Instandsetzung oder Eingriffe durch den Käufer oder unbefugte
Dritte zurückzuführen sind.
c. Transportschäden, die auf dem Weg vom Hersteller zum Verbraucher oder bei der
Einsendung an die Servicestelle entstanden sind.
d. Zubehörteile, die einer normalen Abnutzung unterliegen, wie Akkus etc.
5. Eine Haftung für mittelbare oder unmittelbare Folgeschäden, die durch das Gerät
verursacht werden, ist auch dann ausgeschlossen, wenn der Schaden an dem Gerät
als ein Garantiefall anerkannt wird.

• Only use the unit for the specic purpose described in the
instruction manual. Any misuse will void the warranty.
• The unit is only designed for indoor use.
• The appliance is only suitable for use on at and even bed
surfaces. Do not use the Sleepace Sleep Monitor on mo-
bile beds (such as inatable beds or hammocks), as this
could damage the appliance.
• This device is not a medical device and cannot be used to
prevent sudden death.
• The use of this device does not replace the advice of a
physician.
• People with health problems should principally consult a
physician before using this device.
• This item must not be used on patients with a cardiac pa-
cemaker.
• Do not excessively bend this product. The built-in sensor
may be damaged.
• Do not use the product during charging process.
• Do not let the device come in contact with liquids. It is not
waterproof.
• The device must not be used close to any source of vibra-
tion (e.g. washing machines, loud music etc.) as the vibra-
tions could affect the functions of the device.
• Only use the device within the ambient conditions men-
tioned in the chapter “technical specications”!

With the Sleepace Sleep Monitor you can monitor sleep depth, sleep duration, heart-
and breathing frequency and movements during sleep. With this you are able to analyse
your sleeping habits thoroughly.
2.1 Items supplied and packaging
Please check rst of all that the device is complete and is not damaged in any way. In
case of doubt, do not use it and contact your dealer or your service centre.
The following parts are included:

• 1 USB charging cable
• 1 Instruction manual
The packaging can be reused or recycled. Please dispose properly of any packaging
material no longer required. If you notice any transport damage during unpacking, please
contact your dealer without delay.
2.2 Charging the battery
To charge the battery, connect the device with the included USB cable to the USB-connec-
tion for charging cable 6and to a PC or a laptop or an USB power supply. The USB
connection 6is suitable for charging only and not for the transfer of data.The charging
state of the built-in battery will be indicated by the indicator LED 5as follows:
Indicator LED 5 ashes red each 2 seconds: Battery empty-please charge immediately!
Indicator LED 5lights up in red constantly: Battery charging.
Indicator LED 5lights up in green constantly: Battery fully charged.
Battery safety instructions
• Do not disassemble or dismantle the battery! Danger of explosion!
• Keep away from re and hear sources! Danger of explosion!
• Do not dispose used batteries in the household refuse; put them
in a hazardous waste container or take them to a battery collection
point, at the shop where they were purchased!
2.3 Downloading the app
Now activate Bluetooth®on your iOS- or Android device.
Download and install the app on your smartphone. You can download the app free of
charge from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Search for „Sleepace“.
iOS: Version 7 and newer. Android: Version 4.3 and newer. Bluetooth® 4.0 and up.
WARNING
Please ensure that polythene packing is kept away from the reach of

3.1 Activating and positioning the sleep monitor
Depending on the position of the magnetic cover 7the Sleepace Sleep Monitor is in
active or inactive mode:

The Sleepace Sleep Monitor needs to be positioned correctly between mattress and
sheet in order to function properly:
1. Remove the magnetic cover 7.
2. Put the piezo strap 2between mattress and sheet as shown approximately at the
height of your chest. The housing 4 will be xed on the side of the bed (on the
sheet).
3. Replace the magnetic cover 7in that way, that the device is in active mode.
Therefore turn the magnetic cover by 180° accordingly (the green LED 5will light
up shortly).
4. Lay down in your bed.

3.2 Connecting to the app
Make sure, sleep monitor and your smartphone are switched on and Bluetooth®is
activated on your smartphone. Start the app and connect your smartphone with the
Sleepace Sleep Monitor. You need to create an user account upon rst start. Follow
the instructions given by the app to start the sleep recording. The monitor only has to
be activated via the app before you go to bed. It is not necessary to have a Bluetooth®
connection to your smartphone during your sleep. Then you can fall asleep. During short
interruptions of sleep (e.g. going to the bathroom) the device keeps on recording. If
longer interruptions (more than 60 minutes) occur, the device will stop the recording
process and switch itself off. You may have to re-activate it then.
After awakening, you can stop the recording via the app and therewith switch the device
off. The recorded data will automatically be transferred to the app. The device will also
switch off automatically after 60 minutes of non-usage. Connect the app with the monitor
again to read out the recorded data. You now may check the recorded data in the app or
recall historical data then. The app offers various possibilities for evaluating your sleep
quality, e.g. the recording of your heart and respiratory frequency, movements during
sleep and sleep duration etc.
3.3 Sources of error
If the sleep recording was not successful or the device cannot be used correctly, dif-
ferent reasons may be the source of the error. The following list shows some of these
sources of error - if you cannot solve the problem with this list, please contact the custo-
mer service.
Error: No connection between sleep monitor and app.
Solution: Make sure, that the battery is fully charged, that the distance between device
and your smartphone is less than 10 meters and that Bluetooth®and sleep monitor are
active.
Error: You cannot check last night‘s recordings.
Solution: Probably no Bluetooth®connection was established or the recording was not
started correctly via the app (touch „Start“).
Error: Signals are still being monitored although nobody is lying on the bed.
Solution: The device receives other signals. Make sure, that the surrounding area of
the device is free of devices, which emit vibrations (like e.g. washing machines or fans).
Position the sleep monitor correctly in the height of your chest between mattress and
sheet (and not in height of your shoulders or hips or on the sheet).
Error: You cannot create an user account within the app.
Solution: To crearte an user account, your smartphone needs to be connected to the
Internet.

cial collection point so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally

5 Warranty

5.1 Warranty and repair terms
Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of a claim under the warranty.
If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and state what the
defect is. The following warranty terms apply:
1. The warranty period for MEDISANA products is three years from
date of purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of pur
chase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.
2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of
charge within the warranty period.
3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either
for the unit or for the replacement parts.
4. The following is excluded under the warranty:
a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g.
non-observance of the user instructions.
b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the
customer or unauthorised third parties.
c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to
the consumer or during transport to the service centre.
d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear (e.g. batteries etc.).
5. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the
unit are excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a
warranty claim.

planes. N’utilisez pas le moniteur de sommeil Sleepace
sur des lits mobiles (comme des lits gonables ou des ha-
macs) qui pourraient endommager l’appareil.
• Cet appareil n’est pas un produit médical et ne peut pas être
utilisé pour empêcher une mort subite par arrêt cardiaque.
• L’utilisation de cet appareil ne remplace pas la consultation
d’un médecin.
• Par principe, les personnes sujettes à des problèmes de san-
té devraient consulter un médecin avant d’utiliser l’appareil.
• L’appareil ne doit pas être utilisé par des personnes portant
un stimulateur cardiaque.
