Introduction
The Meech 994IML High voltage generator has been designed to work with the Hydra
In-MouldLabelpinningsystem.Itprovides0-20kV,Negativepolarity,inalightweight
package,poweredby24VDC
Full local and remote control makes it ideal for systems integrators, OEMs and end
users alike.

Inspection
The Model 994IML was carefully packed at our factory to protect it from accidental
damage.Nevertheless,werecommendcarefulexaminationofthecartonandcontents
for any damage. If damage is evident, do not destroy the carton or packing material
and immediately notify the carrier of a possible damage claim. Shipping claims must be
made by the consignee to the delivering carrier. In addition, please also notify Meech
International of any damage claims that may be made against the delivery carrier.

Installation
Important.
The 994IML must be electrically grounded. Failure to do so will damage the unit.
Grounding can be achieved either by using the ground post or by using a grounded
24Vsupplyorboth.

Mounting
Mount the unit using the 5mm keyhole mounts on the rear face in a dry, well ventilated
area.Allowsu󰀩cientspaceforthecablesontherighthandsideoftheunit.

Input/ Output Connections
Ground post
To avoid damage, the 994IML must be grounded. Whether or not the electrical supply
is grounded (see page 6), it is strongly recommended that the 994IML should be
grounded using this post.
Power Supply
2.1mm.Centrepositive.24V.Aplugwithsolderterminalsissuppliedforthecustomer’s
use.
HT Outputs
Connect the Hydra pinning system to the HT output using the proprietary grey HT
connector. Ensure the plug is securely fastened using the locking collar. If only one HT
outputisused,theunusedoutputshouldbeblankedo󰀨withtheplugprovided
RemoteOn/O󰀨
Theoutputofthe994IMLcanbeturnedonando󰀨remotelyviathesocketlocatedon
the connection panel. A 3.5mm Jack plug, supplied with the unit, connected to volt-free
contacts will allow the 994IML to be switched on when the contacts are made.
