Useful tips
•When you first use your fire pit, the double-wall airflow within the unit will take
approximately 5-15 minutes to achieve full efficiency. The more even your fire
burns, the more prominent the flame pattern showing the secondary combustion
will appear.
•Use dry woods for best results.
•Overfilling the fire pit above the top air holes will decrease efficiency and will
produce more smoke.
•Store your fire pit in a cool and dry location. Prolonged exposure to harsh weather
will increase rust and discoloration.
Care & Use Instructions
Care
How to use your Fire Pit
Use
1. Remove the spark guard and lid from the fire pit.
2. Place tender (newspaper works good) on log plate.
3. Arrange kindling such as very small sticks on top of tender.
4. Light tender and as it ignites, add more kindling.
5. When kindling has been burning for ten minutes, arrange dry wood in shape of a
tepee or log cabin on top of kindling. Be sure to use heat resistant and fire proof
gloves that protect to the elbows.
6. After logs have been burning and coals have formed, push coals to edges of fire
bowl close to the inner walls to assist with secondary combustion.
7. Place the spark guard on top of the fire pit. This will help keep burning particles
inside fire pit.
8. Never use the lid to extinguish fire.
9. After the fire pit has completely cooled down, cleaning process can proceed.
10. When the fire pit is clean, store it in a cool and dry location with lid installed.
Care
Cleaning your Fire Pit after use
Use
1. Before cleaning the fire pit, let the fire pit completely cool down.
2. Lift the log plate from your fire pit and remove ashes with a small hearth shovel,
scoop or metal can after each use and before storage. If log plate vent holes or
bottom primary vent holes are obstructed by ash accumulation, more smoke will
be generated.
3. If ashes go inside the ash shield, you can empty the ashes by turning the fire pit
upside down. It is highly recommended to do this by two persons. If you want to
wipe it down, use only a dry cloth.
4. After cleaning the fire pit, cover it with lid. Store it in cool and dry location.
