2. WORKAREA
2.1 Keepyourworkareacleanandwelllit.Clutteredbenchesanddarkareasinviteaccidents.
2.2 Donotoperatepowertoolsinexplosiveatmospheres,suchasinthepresenceofflammableliquids,gases,or
dust.Powertoolscreatesparkswhichmayignitethedustorfumes.
2.3 Keepbystanders,children,andvisitorsawaywhileoperatingapowertool.Distractionscancauseyoutolose
control.
3. ELECTRICALSAFETY
3.1 Donotabusethecord.Neverusethecordtocarrythetool.Keepcordawayfromheat,oil,sharpedges,or
movingparts.Replacedamagedcordsimmediately.Damagedcordsmaycreateafire.(Appliesonlytotools
withaseparablebatterypack,meaningthebatterypackisina separate enclosure from the tool and
connectedtothetoolbyacord.)
3.2 Abatteryoperatedtoolwithintegral batteries or a separate Batterypackmustberechargedonlywiththe
specifiedChargerfortheBattery.AChargerthatmaybesuitableforonetypeofBatterymaycreateariskof
firewhenusedwithanotherBattery.
3.3 UseBatteryoperatedtoolonlywithspecificallydesignatedBattery.UseofanyotherBatteriesmaycreatea
riskoffire.

4. PERSONALSAFETY
4.1 WARNING ‐ This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reducedphysical,sensoryormentalcapabilitiesorlackofexperienceandknowledgeiftheyhavebeengiven
supervisionorinstructionconcerninguseoftheapplianceinasafewayandunderstandthehazardsinvolved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenanceshallnotbemadebychildren
withoutsupervision.
4.2 Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense whenoperatingapowertool.Donotusea
powertoolwhiletiredorundertheinfluenceofdrugs,alcohol,ormedication.Amomentofinattentionwhile
operatingpowertoolsmayresultinseriouspersonalinjury.
4.3 Dressproperly.Donotwearlooseclothingorjewelry.Containlonghair.Keepyourhair,clothing,andgloves
awayfrommovingparts.Looseclothes,jewelry,orlonghaircanbecaughtinmovingparts.
4.4 Avoidaccidentalstarting.BesuretheVariableSpeedPowerTrigger is in the locked or off position before
inserting the Battery. Carrying tools with your finger on the VariableSpeedPowerTriggerorinsertingthe
BatteryintoatoolwiththeVariableSpeedPowerTriggeroninvitesaccidents.
4.5 Remove any adjusting keys or wrenches before turning the tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a
rotatingpartofthetoolmayresultinpersonalinjury.
4.6 Donotoverreach.Keepproperfootingandbalanceatalltimes.Properfootingandbalanceenablebetter
controlofthetoolinunexpectedsituations.
4.7 Usesafetyequipment.Alwaysweareyeprotection.Dustmask,non‐skidsafetyshoes,hardhat,orhearing
protectionmustbeusedforappropriateconditions.
5. TOOLUSEANDCARE
5.1 Useclampsorotherpracticalwaystosecureandsupportthe workpiecetoastableplatform.Holdingthe
workbyhandoragainstyourbodyisunstableandmayleadtolossofcontrol.
5.2 Donotforcetool.Usethecorrecttoolforyourapplication.Thecorrecttoolwilldothejobbetterandsaferat
therateforwhichitwasdesigned.
5.3 DonotusetooliftheVariableSpeedPowerTriggerdoesnotturnitonoroff.Atoolthatcannotbecontrolled
withtheVariableSpeedPowerTriggerisdangerousandmustberepaired.
5.4 DisconnectBatteryfromtoolorplacetheVariableSpeedPowerTriggerinthelockedoroffposition before
makinganyadjustments,changingaccessories,orstoringthetool.Suchpreventativesafetymeasuresreduce
theriskofstartingthetoolaccidentally.
5.5 Storeidletoolsoutofthereachofchildrenandotheruntrainedpersons.Toolsaredangerousinthehandsof
untrainedusers.
5.6 WhenBatteryisnotinuse,keepitawayfromothermetalobjectslike:paperclip,coins,keys,nails,screws,or
other small metal objects that canmake a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the Battery
terminalstogethermaycausesparks,burns,orafire.
5.7 Maintaintoolswithcare.Keepcuttingtoolssharpandclean. Properlymaintainedtoolswithsharpcutting
edgearelesslikelytobindandareeasiertocontrol.
5.8 Checkformisalignmentorbindingofmovingparts,breakageofparts,andanyotherconditionthatmayaffect
thetool’soperation.Ifdamaged,havethetoolservicedbeforeusing.Manyaccidentsarecausedbypoorly
maintainedtools.
5.9 Useonlyaccessoriesthatarerecommendedbythemanufacturerforyour model.Accessoriesthat may be
suitableforonetoolmaycreateariskofinjurywhenusedforanothertool.

6. SERVICE
6.1 Tool service must only be performed by qualified repair personnel. Service or maintenance performed by
unqualifiedpersonnelmayresultinariskofinjury.
6.2 Whenservicingatool,useonlyidenticalreplacementparts.FollowinstructionsintheMaintenancesectionof
this manual. Use of unauthorized parts or failure to follow Maintenance Instructions may create a risk of
shockorinjury.

7. MATERIAL
7.1 Beforeusinganymaterial,besuretoread,understand,andfollowtheinstructionsofthemanufacturerofthat
material.ReadtheMSDS(MaterialSafetyDataSheet)suppliedbythemanufacturerofthematerialandall
writingonthematerialandthecontainerthoroughly.Materialmaynotdispenseproperlyifitisnotatthe
propertemperature.Materialmayposeahealthhazardwithoutadequateventilation.
7.2 DANGER!Donotusetodispenseanyflammableorexplosivematerial, any material that contains
petroleumdistillate(s),oranymaterialthatcannotbeusedsafelynearsparksornearelectricmotors.Donot
usethistool,oranyotherpowertool,ifanyphrasessuchas“Flammable”,“Explosive”,“Keepawayfromheat,
spark,andflame”,“Keepawayfromheat,spark,openflamesandanyignitionsource”,“PetroleumDistillate”,
“Distillates(Petroleum)”,“Disconnectelectricmotors”,etc.,appear.Thisproductcontainsanelectricmotor.
Allelectricmotorsgeneratesparksandmayignitevaporsfrommaterials.
8. CONDITIONOFTOOL
8.1 Donotusedamagedtools.Lockoutorclearlymark“DONOTUSE”untilrepaired.Manyaccidentsarecaused
bypoorlymaintainedtools.
8.2 Donotalterormodifytool.Anyalterationormodificationis a misuse and may result in a dangerous
condition.
9. MAINTENANCE
9.1 DonotdisassembletoolorBattery.Atconclusionofitsusefullife,removeBatteryfromtool.Withoutfurther
disassembly,returnBatteryintactforrecyclingand/ordiscardtoolintact.Disassemblyandreassemblymay
createanunsafecondition.
9.2 Donotadjustinternalcomponents.Thismaycauseanunsafecondition.
9.3 Useonlymildsoapforcleaning.Othercleaningagentssuchasgasoline,carbontetrachloride,ammonia,etc.,
maydamageplasticparts.Donotimmersedispenser,battery,orchargerinanyliquid,asthismaycause
damageandunsafeconditions.
9.4 AlwaysunplugChargerbeforecleaningandwhenitisnotinuse.Failuretodosomayresultinshockorfire.
10. OPERATION
10.1 WhenoperatingthePOWERPUSH®5000,usebothhands.Useofbothhandswillhelppreventdroppingthe
toolwhichcouldcausedamagetothetooloroperator.
10.2 Donotplacehand,finger,orotherforeignobjectsinfrontofPistonswhileBatteryisattached.Thiscould
resultininjurytooperator.
10.3 Donotuseanyattachments.Useofattachmentscouldcausepersonalinjuryordamagetotool.
10.4 DonotoperatewithoutPistonsattached.Thiswilldamagethecartridgeandmaybedangerous.
10.5 UseonlywithBatteriesof rated voltageandsametype. Higher voltages maycreatean electrical hazard.
OtherBatterytypesmayfallfromtool,creatingariskofpersonalinjury.

1. RemoveandInstallBatteryPack(SeeFigure2):
ToremoveBattery,squeezebothreleasebuttonsandslidetheBatteryforward.
ToinsertBattery,slideBatteryfullyontothebaseofthehandle.

RemoveBattery,depressClutchTrigger;insertRackfromrearoftoolbywigglingandeasingitintoposition.Do
notpower theRackinto thetool,as damagemay occur.DepressClutchTriggerPushRackforward untilPiston
(SeeInstallPistonInstructionBelow)engagesthecartridgeorsausage.

PushRackforwardandslidePistonoverit.Insertandtighten#2PhillipsscrewintoPiston.
5. DispenseMaterial:
InstallCartridgeorSausageMaterialintothetool,installBattery,andbegindispensing.

WARNING–Keepallbodypartsandforeignobjectsoutsideofcartridgeholderatalltimes.Fingers
canbeinjuredifcaughtbetweenpistonandcartridgeholder.
6. StartingandStopping(Figure4):
Pull Variable Speed Power Trigger ‐ Figure 1 ‐ No. 7 (pulling trigger more will increase speed). Adjust Variable
SpeedPowerTriggertoachievedesiredmaximumspeed.Tostopflow and relieve pressure, release Variable
SpeedPowerTrigger.Whendispensingiscompleted,releaseVariableSpeedPowerTrigger,pullClutchTrigger,
andpullRackfullyback.Removecartridgeorsausage.
NOTE – Tominimizethechanceofdamagetothecartridgeorsausage,the dispenser automatically adjusts its
outputforce.Youmayexperienceavariationinmotorspeedassociatedwiththisfunction.Ifdamageorblowby
occur,adjustthespeedcontroltoalowersetting.
WARNING–Toreduceriskofinjury,alwaysunplugtheChargerandremovetheBatteryfromtheCharger
orthetoolbeforeperforminganymaintenance.NeverdisassemblethetoolBatteryorCharger.Contacta
PowerPush® Service facility for all repairs. The Battery must be removed from the tool before disposal. All
batteriesshallbedisposedofsafelyinaccordancewithlocallawsandregulations.
1. AlwaysunplugChargerbeforecleaningandwhenitisnotinuse.
2. Frequentmaintenancecanprolongthelifeandsafetyofthetool.Everyyearorasnecessary(dependingon
usageoftool),returnittoaservicecentershownintheservicecentersectionofthismanualfor:

● Cleaningandlubricaon
● Tesngtoensurethattheelectricalandmechanicalsystemsareinproperoperaon.
3. If the POWERPUSH® 5000 is not running at full capacity, check to be sure that the Battery is fully
charged and that the contacts on the Battery and tool are both clean. If they require maintenance, use
cautionandcleanwithaneraser.Ifyourtoolisstillnotoperating properly, return all parts including tool,
BatteryandChargertoaservicecentershownintheServiceCentersectionofthismanualforrepair.Service
ormaintenanceperformedbyunqualifiedpersonnelcouldresultininjuryordamage.

4. Keephandlesclean,dryandfreeofoilorgrease.Cleanwithmildsoapanddampcloth.Donotusesolvents
orcleaningagentsthatcandamagetool.
5. FollowcleaningandmaintenanceinstructionsinBatteryandChargermanual.
6. ApplylightcoatingoflightmachineoiltolubricateRackasneeded.
7. For internal lubrication and for all other maintenance/repairs, expect external cleaning and Battery
recharging,returntoqualifiedServiceCenter,distributor,ormanufacturer.
8. RecycleusedBatteries.Complywithalldisposalregulationsandlaws.
