A. Intended Use
The Metal Craft® Dock Ladder is supplied with an installation kit intended to mount on the end of
Metal Craft® dock modules. The Dock Ladder can be installed on the side of Metal Craft Docks with
the Side Mount Installation Kit (p/n 0225-02) sold separately. The dock ladder can be installed on
docks made from wood, vinyl, PVC, etc. using additional hardware not supplied - See section D for
instructions.
B. Parts Description
1. Check the #0225-01 Installation Kit (sealed plastic bag) to ensure you have all the items
necessary to install your new Safety and Swim Ladder:

C. Installation - End Mount
Step #1 -
Insert the arms of the ladder into
the lower section containing the
rungs and bolt together with
included, separate hardware kit.
Open the Metal Craft hardware
kit and lay out the parts from the
installation kit detailed on
previous page.
Step #2 -
Place the ladder on the deck module so that
the handles of the ladder measure
approximately 17-1/4" apart keeping in mind
to line up the holes in the mounting bar of the
ladder with openings between the deck slats.
Step #3 -
Locate the 5/16-18" x 2-1/2" HHCS. Place
one cap screw in the pre-drilled hole located
closest to the rear of the ladder on the
mounting bar. Thread the HHCS through the
space between the deck slats. Thread the
HHCS through the space between the deck
slats for each side of the ladder. Repeat
this step for the opposite side.

Step #6 -
Install the Swim Ladder Clamp, Swim Ladder Mounting Angle and the 5/16” x 2” HHCS
as shown. Loosely tighten for now.
On the underside of the deck module,
loosely install the self-clinching nut to the
5/16" x 2-1/2" bolt installed in step 3.
Repeat process for the second bolt with
the second nut. Tighten both nuts.
Tighten all bolts attaching the swim
ladder clamp and mounting angle from
Step 4 above.
Installation is complete for end mount.
D. Installation - Other Docks or Surfaces.
Step #1 -
Use punched holes in the Swim Ladder Mounting Bar welded to the handles. Use lag
screws or bolts in wood and anchors in cement (hardware store item, not supplied).
Step #2 -
Install the Swim Ladder Clamps front vertical legs of the ladder. Use lag screws or
bolts in wood and anchors in cement (hardware store item, not supplied). See Step 4 above
for reference.
