Equalizer

Metolius Equalizer is a compact, light, and convenient way to
equalize multiple anchor points at belays.

Toequalizea3-pointanchor,clip
eachsewnloopintooneofthe
outer anchor points.
Clipthemiddleoftheslinginto
the3rdpointtoform2loops.
Equalizethe2loopsofwebbingin
theintendeddirectionofloadand
tieanoverhandknotonabight.
Toequalizea2-pointanchor,clip
both sewn loops into one point
andthemiddleoftheslinginto
the other point. Equalize in the
intendeddirectionofloadandtie
anoverhandknotonabight.
Touseasafull-lengthsling,
connect the end loops with a
lockingcarabiner.

Warning: The Equalizer is intended to be
used in one of the configurations described
herein (i.e. always have multiple strands
of webbing equalized to bear the load),
and never as a single strand of webbing.
If used as a single strand, the breaking
strength is 15 kN (3400 lbf).
Reinforcedend-loopsprovide
additionalfull-strengthclipin
points.Notethatthesecondary
loadintheend-loopisnotequa-
lized between the multiple anchor
points.Itismerelybackedupto
the other anchor points. Only use
theend-loopasanadditionalclip
inpointifthesingleanchorpoint
itisonissufcienttocarrythe
load alone.
