THE
lnstruction Manual
for the
MIDGET
SERIES
.,
T "
Foreword.
The object of this Instruction Book is to placethe owner in possession
of as much detailed information as possible
for the maintenance
of the M.G.
Midget "T" Series.
Detailsare provided regarding
running-in,and separatechaptersdeal with
the various items of the car, suchas chassis, engine, carburetters, brakes,
etc.
' Eachsection contains more detailed information than is neededfor ordinary
maintenance, which it is hoped will prove of interest,to owners, and of assistance
to servicestations,
The time ariseswhen a part of the car hasto be dismantled, and it is then
that referenceto the detailed
instructionscan be of considerablevalue,both to
the owner and repair shops, unacquainted
with the construction of the car.
Should the owner fail to find the particular information he requires in
the lnstruction Book, it is hoped he will not hesitateto communicatewith the
Service
Department at Abingdon (beingsure alwaysto quote the car's chassis
and enginenumbers, and body number when the body is concerned),who will
always be only too ready to afford any assistance
they can at any time.
We cannot stress too highly the danger of fitting hon-genuine parts to
M.G. cars.
Unfortunately caseshave come to our notice where accidentshave actualiy
been
causedbythis practice,
andwe strongly
adviseall M.G.owners to insistanil
seethat for all repairsand replacements
only genuineM.G. parts are fitted.
M.G. parts are specially designed and manufactured to withstand the
stressesimposed
by a high-speed
sports car, andwe would wain all oWners
that
the fitting of non-genuine parts renders the guarantee null and void.
POSTAGE
AND PACKING CHARGES. The prices quoted in the Spare
PartsList are net at the Distributors' or Dealers'oremises,
but in the event of
parts having to be forwarded, packing and postirig charges will of course be
extra. Except in the case of those who have op6ned approved accounts, all
parts that can be will be forwarded C.O.D.
