Overview
This elec ronic gauge manifold is an useful device for he ins alla ion, es ing and main enance of refrigera ion equipmen
such as air condi ioners and cold s orage. The ins rumen has double pressure sensors, dual empera ure probes, digi al
readou , mul iuni swi ching, mul i-mode func ion and buil -in refrigeran s da abase.
The ins rumen uses high-s reng h engineering plas ics and flexible non-slip silicone design, he whole machine is solid and
comfor able o hold. Buil -in 32-bi digi al processing uni and high-precision da a acquisi ion uni , high da a and s abili y.
Large-size liquid crys al display, LCD backligh suppor , da a display clear and easy o read, convenien ligh opera ion. Long
life valve swi ch, 1/4-inch s andard in erface design o ensure ha he ins rumen 's durabili y and versa ili y.
The ins rumen can measure double pressure (gauge pressure) a he same ime, as well as dual empera ure, wi h
au oma ic mul i-uni pressure conversion, au oma ic conversion of empera ure Celsius / Fahrenhei , o facili a e differen
needs. Buil -in 89 kinds of refrigeran pressure-evapora ion empera ure da abase, also calcula e he subcooling and

me er in accordance wi h he manual may damage he ins rumen . This ins rumen s ric ly follows he IEC/EN61010-1 safe y
s andards for design and produc ion.
1) The pressure measured by he digi al manifold pressure es er is gauge pressure
2) Pressure es ing ranges from -101KPa o 6MPa (- 0.1bar o 60bar)
3) The limi pressure is 10 MPa (100 bar)
4) The maximum opera ing pressure of s andard hose is 600 PSI (approxima e 4.13 MPa, 41.3 bar). The limi pressure is
3000 PSI approxima e 20.68 MPa, 206.8 bar.

Refrigerant filling and pressure inspection
A. Turn off he blue valve and red valve.
B. Power on he ins rumen . Then make sure if he LCD displays pressure
es s a us as below pic ure. If no , press he Func ion bu on o swi ch i .
C. If he empera ure probe accessories have been connec ed o he
ins rumen , he real- ime empera ure will be displayed. If no , no display
of i .
D. Press R+/ R- bu ons , Uni bu on and °C/°F bu on o selec es ed
refrigeran and reading display respec ively.
E. When he ins rumen is urned on, here may be 10 digi s in he
high and low pressure display area. A his
ime, press he zero bu on long un il i re urns o zero.
F. Connec he ins rumen o he refrigera ion sys em according o
he char below. (pay a en ion o he direc ion of he refrigeran
flowing!)
G. Turn on he refrigeran valve and gen ly press he pressure
release valve o ven he air in he connec ing
hose.
H. When he refrigera ion sys em s ops, urn on he high pressure valve (red valve) and fill wi h a cer ain amoun of
refrigeran and hen shu he valve quickly.
I. Run he refrigera ion sys em, urn on he low pressure valve (blue valve), and fill wi h he refrigeran in o
he refrigera ion sys em. Vacuum opera ion is required if i is filled ini ially or in full wi h refrigeran . Refer o he sec ion on
vacuum opera ion.
J. Af er he filling is comple ed, shu he low pressure valve (blue valve)
and refrigeran valve. Le he refrigera ion sys em running.
K. Shu down he refrigera ion sys em, make sure all valves are urned off
, hen disconnec he ins rumen be ween refrigera ion sys em and
source. Do no remove he high pressure valve connec ion un il he
pressure drops o he safe poin . Then urn off he ins rumen .
No e: The filling opera ion of differen equipmen or refrigeran s may
vary. Please read carefully he relevan specific opera ion requiremen s for
filling opera ion, so as o avoid damage o user or equipmen caused by
improper opera ion!
- The ins rumen can display he corresponding Evapora ion
Tempera ure (EV) and Condensa ion Tempera ure (CO) during he
refrigeran pressure es , as shown below:
- If he clamp-on empera ure probes are connec ed o he ins rumen ,
LCD will display he real- ime empera ure in he spo T1 Sensor and T2
Sensor, as shown below. Please make sure clamp-on empera ure
probes are connec ed as s ep F and con ac ed fully o he refrigera ion
pipes.

prese and clamp-on empera ure probes are connec ed well.
Vacuum operation
A. Turn off he blue valve and red valve.
B. Power on he ins rumen . Then make sure if he LCD displays vacuum es
s a us as below pic ure. If no , press he Func ion bu on o swi ch i .
C. Press he uni bu on o adjus he reading uni .
D. When he ins rumen is urned on, here may be 10 digi s in he high and low
pressure display area. A his ime, press he zero bu on long un il i re urns o zero.
E. Connec he ins rumen o he refrigera ion sys em according o he
char below. (pay a en ion o he direc ion of he refrigeran flowing! )
(Connec ed clamp-on empera ure probes will no affec he opera ion)
F. Turn on he blue valve and red valve, and s ar he vacuum pump.

Pressure Leak Test
A. The ins rumen is power on wi h he blue and red valves urned off.
B. Press he Func ion bu on o pressure leak es mode shown as below. The curren pressure value is displayed a lower
righ corner of LCD.
C. Press he Run/S op bu on o s ar he leak es , as shown below:
A his ime, he lower lef corner records he ini ial pressure value; he
lower righ corner shows he ins an aneous pressure value; he “ΔP”
display area shows he difference be ween ini ial pressure value and
ins an aneous pressure value.
The ime display area shows how long he leak es las s in he forma of
Hour : Minu e (HH:MM). All he pressure uni s on he screen are he
same. You can swi ch differen pressure uni s by pressing he uni bu on.
Common problems
Common problems
Lo battery po er supply
The ins rumen s has low power sign. When i is displayed , i means he ba ery power is insufficien . A his ime, he ba ery
should be replaced as required in order o avoid affec ing normal use.
Damaged refrigerant hose or valve stem
Please check he pipe fi ings and he hoses before es ing. Once any damage is found , please replace i immedia ely o
avoid improper use or any acciden occurring.
Failure of refrigerant filling
There is a valve core in he refrigeran inle of he refrigera ion sys em. When connec ing he ins rumen , pay a en ion o
he wo erminals of he hoses. Connec one erminal wi h a core o he refrigera ion sys em, while ano her erminal wi hou
a core o he ins rumen .
Potential leak points
- Every hose erminal comes wi h a nylon pad ha is limi ed a cer ain life of using. Over use or o her si ua ion will make i
defec ive, which resul in leakage.
- The ins rumen refrigeran inle ( he middle por of he ins rumen ) has a por wi h valve core , which is used o ven he
air in he hoes af er connec ing he refrigeran o he ins rumen .
The por is equipped wi h a copper plug screw. I is required o igh en i every ime before or af er opera ion.

Glossary
- Sa ura ion
The s a e of sa ura ion is he coexis ence of a refrigeran in a liquid and gas s a e.
- Condensa ion empera ure and evapora ion empera ure
Condensa ion empera ure: in he condenser, he refrigeran is condensed by he high- empera ure gaseous refrigeran o
he empera ure of he liquid refrigeran , ha is, he sa ura ion empera ure under he condensing pressure.
Evapora ion empera ure: in he evapora or, he refrigeran evapora es from he liquid refrigeran o he empera ure of he
gaseous refrigeran , ha is, he sa ura ion empera ure under he evapora ion pressure.
- Degree of subcooling and superhea
Subcooling: condensing empera ure – condensing ou le empera ure.
Superhea : evapora ion ou le empera ure - evapora ion empera ure.
The lower subcooling can make he refrigera ion capaci y of he sys em be er. Adding subcooling circui and economizer in
he refrigera ion sys em is o increase he subcooling for refrigeran increasing.
The degree of expansion of he expansion valve (refrigeran charge) affec s he degree of superhea .
The grea er he degree of superhea , he smaller he opening of he expansion valve can be de ermined ( he refrigeran
charge is less).
- Sensible hea and la en hea
The amoun of hea required o raise he wa er empera ure from 0 degrees o 100 degrees is sensible hea , he wa er is
hea ed o 100 degrees, and he ho wa er becomes wa er vapor, bu he empera ure is s ill 100 degrees. The hea required
for his process is called la en hea .
- Gauge pressure and absolu e pressure
Gauge pressure: Gauge pressure refers o he pipeline pressure, refers o he pressure measured by pressure gauges,
vacuum gauges, U-shaped ubes, e c., also known as rela ive pressure. The “ able pressure” s ar s wi h a mospheric pressure
and he symbol is Pg.
Absolu e pressure: The pressure direc ly ac ing on he surface of a con ainer or objec is called "absolu e pressure", he
absolu e pressure value is absolu e vacuum as a s ar ing poin , he symbol is PABS (ABS is a subscrip ) and he absolu e
pressure is a mospheric pressure + gauge pressure.
A a mospheric pressure, he gauge pressure is 0 and he absolu e pressure is 1.013 bar.
- Dry bulb empera ure, we bulb empera ure and black ball empera ure
Dry bulb empera ure: he empera ure measured by ordinary hermome ers.
We bulb empera ure: a we clo h is wrapped around he hermome er, and he empera ure indica es a drop due o he
evapora ion of wa er. The empera ure a his ime is called he we -bulb empera ure.
The device, which has bo h he dry ball hermome er and he we bulb hermome er, is called he dry humidy me er, which
can be used o measure he rela ive humidi y in he a mosphere.
Black ball empera ure: also called ac ual empera ure, i indica es he ac ual sensory empera ure expressed by empera ure
when a person or an objec is combined wi h radian hea and convec ive hea in a radian hea environmen .
The black ball empera ure measured is generally higher han he ambien empera ure, which is he air empera ure.
- Rela ive humidi y and absolu e humidi y
Absolu e humidi y: he mass of wa er vapor in a uni volume of air is called he "absolu e humidi y" of air. I is a
represen a ion of he physical quan i y of a mospheric dryness and humidi y. I is usually expressed in grams of wa er vapor
con ained in 1 cubic me er of air.
Rela ive humidi y: he ac ual wa er vapor densi y in air and he percen age of sa ura ed wa er vapor densi y a he same
empera ure are called he “rela ive humidi y” of air.
The degree of dryness and humidi y of he air is rela ed o he degree of sa ura ion of wa er vapor con ained in he
air, bu i is no direc ly rela ed o he absolu e amoun of wa er vapor con ained in he air.
