HELP GUIDE
Please ensure the battery is fully charged before using (charging time can be up to 4 hours).
Note: When the battery display is “RED” there is less than 20% battery life remaining and the
unit should be charged immediately.
When the unit is turned on, please check display and confirm all Self Tests pass during power
up.
Narda S3 Radiation Monitor

• First install the software provided with
the unit on your PC or Laptop.
• Use the USB cable provided to connect
the unit to your PC or Laptop.
• Start the NS3-TS and reset clock under
the configuration tab.
• After reset, turn off the unit and wait for
at least 5 minutes before switching back
on. If the unit still indicates RTC Error,
then it will need to be returned.

• Turn the unit off.
• On the rear of the unit, undo the two
screws labelled “sensor removal”.
• Clean the contacts on the sensor.
• Refit the sensor and turn the unit on.
If the unit still indicates “Sensor out of
Range” then it will need to be returned.
