WARNING: Handling and site prep
The 84” Microsoft Surface Hub weighs approximately 280 pounds (127 kg.), and is (46 x 86.9 x 4.1 inches or 116.8 x 220.6 x 10.4 cm). To reduce the
risk of injury due to this size and weight:
• Use the Site Readiness Guide to make sure the Surface Hub and its shipping container will t into the elevators, hallways, doorways, etc on the
way to the place it will be unpacked and mounted. You can nd a copy of the Site Readiness Guide at
http://www.microsoft.com/surface/support/surface-hub.
• Always have at least four people for unpacking and installation.
• Prepare the mounting system before unpacking the Surface Hub.
• Once Surface Hub is unpacked, it will need to be mounted immediately. If you’re mounting Surface Hub onto a rolling stand, lock or block the
wheels of the stand before unpacking.
• Always have two people securing Surface Hub upright throughout the unpacking process.
• Keep the assembly area clear of packing materials, and remove materials after each step.
Before you begin
•
Keep the 84” Surface Hub upright at all times.
•
The shipping crate is on wheels. Be sure to work on a level surface to ensure the shipping crate does not roll while
unpacking.
•Unpack the 84” Surface Hub in the same room where it will be mounted.
•Allow Surface Hub to come to room temperature for at least 6 hours before unpacking when moving the package in
from a cold environment.
•Prepare the mounting system before unpacking the 84” Surface Hub.
Tools required
Use care with all tools while you’re unpacking the 84” Surface Hub to avoid cutting or damaging its screen. You’ll need:
• Scissors for cutting away the silver anti-static packing bag and for cutting the packing straps
• A 6mm hex wrench for detaching the shipping brackets (included)
Unpack Surface Hub 84”
As you unpack the Surface Hub, keep the area clear by removing packing materials at the end of each step.
1. Place the shipping crate so that the back faces the mounting system.
Note: The Microsoft Surface Hub logo is on the front of the box.
2. Cut the plastic packing straps.

CAUTION: To avoid potential injury, use caution when using scissors.
3. Remove the Welcome Kit panel from the back of the shipping crate.
a. Pinch the two clips on the back panel.
b. Pull the cardboard panel away from the shipping crate.

c. Set the Welcome Kit aside.
4. Lift off the shipping crate lid and walls:
a. Lift off the lid.
b. Open and remove the six plastic clips on the ends of the crate that join the two side panels of the crate.
c. Pull back the side panels of the shipping crate and set them aside.

5. Remove and set aside the cardboard and foam packaging.
WARNING: Handling
To reduce risk of injury or damage to the device, have someone holding the Surface Hub steady at all times during unpacking.
6. Use scissors to carefully cut away the anti-static bag at the base of the shipping container. Make sure the scissors don’t scratch any part of the
Surface Hub.
Then lift the bag up and off the Surface Hub.

7. Using a 6mm hex wrench, remove the four lag bolts that secure the shipping brackets on the Surface Hub to the wood crosspieces.
WARNING: Trip hazards
To reduce the risk of back injuries, it is required that a minimum of four people lift the device. Two assistants should lift from the end handles to help guide the
device to the proper location, ensuring that the device is kept vertical and is not allowed to tip backwards. Two additional assistants will help to support the
weight of the device.
WARNING: Handling
To reduce risk of injury or damage to the device, two people should remain at the ends, holding the device upright once it is standing on the oor.
Lifting the 84” Surface Hub
WARNING: Weight hazard
This device is very heavy. To reduce the risk of back injuries, it is required that a minimum of four people lift the device. Two assistants should lift from the
end handles to help guide the device to the proper location, ensuring that the device is kept vertical and is not allowed to tip backwards. Two additional
assistants will help to support the weight of the device.

Always use the lifting handholds to lift the Surface Hub. Never try to use the bottom edge or the sides of the Surface Hub to support any part of its weight,
since this could damage the Surface Hub.
WARNING: Ergonomic Lifting
To reduce the potential for lifting-related injuries, follow good ergonomic lifting guidelines.
Ergonomic lifting guidance:
• Plan ahead
• Determine if you can lift the unit. Is it too heavy or too awkward?
• Decide if you need lifting aid.
• Check your environment for obstructions and slippery surfaces.
• Make sure the lifting team agrees on the plan.
• Lift with your legs, not your back
• Bend at your knees, keeping the back straight.
• Keep the unit close to your body.
• Center your body over the unit. Keep the feet about shoulder width apart.
• Lift straight up smoothly.
• Keep your torso straight; do not twist while lifting or after the load is lifted.
• Set the unit onto the system slowly and smoothly with a straight back; do not let go until the unit is set in place.

likelihood of injury, death, or product damage, be sure you have read and fully understand this information before you proceed.
After you have unpacked your 84” Microsoft Surface Hub:
1. Follow the instructions in the mounting guide to mount Microsoft Surface Hub.
2. Next, check the info in the Setup Guide to set up the Microsoft Surface Hub software. You’ll nd this guide in your Welcome Kit.
After you remove the 84” Surface Hub from the packing base, use a 6mm hex wrench to remove the shipping brackets.
After Surface Hub is mounted, keep the lifting handles so you can use them to move it to a new mounting location or if you need service in the future.

Vereiste gereedschappen
Ga tijdens het uitpakken van de 84” Surface Hub voorzichtig om met de gereedschappen om krassen op en schade aan het bijbehorende scherm te
voorkomen. U hebt het volgende nodig:
• Schaar voor het wegknippen van de zilveren antistatische verpakkingszak en voor het doorknippen van de verpakkingsriempjes
• 6 mm-inbussleutel voor het losmaken van de verzendbeugels (meegeleverd)
84” Surface Hub uitpakken
Houd, terwijl u de Surface Hub uitpakt, het gebied vrij door aan het einde van elke stap de verpakkingsmaterialen te verwijderen.

b. Trek het kartonnen paneel van het verzendkrat af.

c. Leg de Welkomskit opzij.
4. Deksel van het verzendkrat eraf tillen en wanden verwijderen:
a. Til het deksel eraf.
b. Open de zes plastic klemmen aan de uiteinden van het krat die de twee zijpanelen van het krat samenhouden en verwijder deze.
c. Haal de zijpanelen van het verzendkrat af en leg ze opzij.

5. Verwijder de kartonnen verpakking en de schuimverpakking en leg het weg.
WAARSCHUWING: Omgang met het product
Laat iemand de Surface Hub te allen tijde stabiel houden tijdens het uitpakken, om het risico op letsel of schade aan het apparaat te voorkomen.
6. Knip voorzichtig met de schaar de antistatische zak aan de basis van de verzenddoos weg. Zorg ervoor dat u met de schaar nergens krassen
maakt op de Surface Hub.
Til vervolgens de zak omhoog en van de Surface Hub af.

7. Verwijder met de 6 mm-inbussleutel de vier bouten van verzendbeugels waarmee de Surface Hub aan de houten dwarsproelen vastzit.
WAARSCHUWING: Struikelgevaren
Het is verplicht om minimaal vier personen het apparaat te laten tillen om het risico op rugletsel te verkleinen. Twee helpers moeten het apparaat aan de
grepen aan het uiteinde optillen om het apparaat naar de juiste locatie te begeleiden. Daarbij moet ervoor worden gezorgd dat het apparaat verticaal blijft en
niet achterover kan vallen. Twee extra helpers helpen bij de ondersteuning van het gewicht van het apparaat.

De 84” Surface Hub optillen

Gebruik altijd de tilhandgrepen om de Surface Hub op te tillen. Probeer nooit om de Surface Hub aan de onderkant of de zijkanten op te tillen om zo wat van
het gewicht te dragen, omdat dit schade aan de Surface Hub kan toebrengen.
WAARSCHUWING: Ergonomisch tillen
Volg de juiste richtlijnen voor ergonomisch tillen om de kans op aan tillen gerelateerd letsel te verkleinen.
Richtlijn ergonomisch tillen:
• Plan vooruit
• Bepaal of u het apparaat kunt tillen. Is het apparaat te zwaar om te lastig te tillen vanwege zijn vorm?
• Bepaal of u hulp nodig hebt bij het tillen.
• Controleer uw omgeving op obstakels en gladde ondergrond.
• Zorg ervoor dat het team van tillers het met elkaar eens is over het plan van aanpak.
• Til vanuit uw benen, niet vanuit uw rug
• Buig door de knieën en houd uw rug recht.
• Houd het apparaat dicht tegen uw lichaam aan.
• Centreer uw lichaam boven het apparaat. Houd de voeten ongeveer op schouderbreedte van elkaar.
• Til het apparaat rustig recht omhoog.
• Houd uw bovenlichaam recht; draai het niet tijdens het tillen of nadat u het apparaat hebt opgetild.
• Plaats het apparaat met een rechte rug langzaam en voorzichtig op het systeem; laat het apparaat pas los als het op zijn plaats staat.

Avant de commencer

Faites en sorte que le Surface Hub 84 pouces reste toujours droit.
•
La caisse de transport est sur roulettes. Veillez à travailler sur une surface plane pour éviter le déplacement de la caisse
de transport pendant le déballage.
•Déballez le Surface Hub 84 pouces dans la pièce où il sera monté.
•Laissez l’appareil Surface Hub revenir à température ambiante pendant au moins 6 heures avant de le déballer, s’il était
préalablement stocké dans un environnement froid.
•Préparez le système de montage avant de déballer le Surface Hub 84 pouces.
Outils nécessaires
Utilisez les outils avec précaution lors du déballage du Surface Hub 84 pouces an de ne pas vous couper et de ne pas endommager l’écran. Outils
nécessaires :
• Ciseaux pour couper le sac d’emballage antistatique couleur argent ainsi que les sangles d’emballage.
• Clé hexagonale de 6 mm pour détacher les supports de transport (fournie).
Déballage du Surface Hub 84 pouces
Lors du déballage du Surface Hub, écartez les matériaux d’emballage à la n de chaque étape pour ne pas encombrer la zone.
1. Placez la caisse de transport dos au système de montage.
Remarque : Le logo Microsoft Surface Hub est apposé sur la face avant de la boîte.
2. Coupez les sangles d’emballage en plastique.

ATTENTION : A n de ne pas vous blesser, utilisez les ciseaux avec précaution.
3. Retirez le panneau du kit de bienvenue situé au dos de la caisse de transport.
a. Pincez les deux attaches situées sur le panneau arrière.
b. Retirez le panneau en carton de la caisse de transport.

c. Mettez le kit de bienvenue de côté.
4. Soulevez le couvercle et les parois de la caisse de transport :
a. Soulevez le couvercle.
b. Ouvrez et retirez les six attaches en plastique situées aux extrémités de la caisse servant à xer les deux panneaux latéraux de la caisse.
c. Retirez les panneaux latéraux de la caisse de transport ; écartez-les.

5. Retirez les emballages en carton et en mousse ; écartez-les.
AVERTISSEMENT : Manipulation
An de réduire les risques de blessure ou de dommages à l’appareil, une personne doit stabiliser le Surface Hub en permanence pendant le déballage.
6. À l’aide des ciseaux, coupez avec précaution le sac antistatique à la base du conteneur de transport. Veillez à ne pas abîmer le Surface Hub avec
les ciseaux.
Ensuite, tirez le sac vers le haut pour en dégager le Surface Hub.

7. À l’aide de la clé hexagonale de 6 mm, retirez les quatre tire-fonds qui xent aux traverses en bois les supports de transport sur le Surface Hub.
AVERTISSEMENT : Risques de chute
An de réduire le risque de blessures lombaires, quatre personnes au moins doivent soulever l’appareil. Deux personnes doivent soulever les poignées à
l’extrémité an de guider l’appareil au bon endroit tout en s’assurant qu’il reste en position verticale et qu’il ne tombe pas à la renverse. Deux autres personnes
aident à soutenir le poids de l’appareil.
