Walkers are handled with two hands, and have four points
of support terminated, depending on device type, with protective caps
and/or wheels.
I. GENERAL NOTES
Our walkers are designed for use on level indoor
surfacesonly.
Standard products are designed for users (with lower limb disability) with
height of 155cm to 185cm and body weight of up to 120 kg.
Walkers can be adjusted to the user’s height by extending or sliding
in the telescopic tube in 20 mm increments.
Once you are done secure the bottom tube with the latch
(containing two steel pegs matched to the holes in the fixed and movable
tubes).
The height of the walker is correct wherethe user can stand as much upright
as possible and the product performs satisfactorily. See part II of this
manual for adjustment instructions.
Setting the height of the walker correctly will significantly
extend its lifetime.
II. PROCEDURE FOR STEPWISE ADJUSTMENT
OF PRODUCT HEIGHT (Fig. 1)
1. Push the double latch out of the holes by pushing both fronts of the
latch wings towards the back using two thumbs, so as to move the
wings and slide the steel pegs out of the rod holes.
Do not bend the latch wings as they may break or lose
elasticity.
2. Slide the adjustment rod along the axis to the appropriate height for
the user; remember that the holes in the adjustment rod must
ideally overlap the holes in the shaft.
3. Insert the steel pegs of the latch into the correctly positioned holes
and push the lath using your hand until the inside surface of the
latch is in full contact with the rod shaft.
Follow the same steps for the remaining points of support.

III. UNFOLDING AND FOLDING A WALKER
To unfold the walker, position it in front of you, hold its upper frame
(cross tube) with one hand, with the other hand grab the lowest of the three
frames of the walker (cross tubes) and push it forward (away from you)
as much as possible until you feel resistance.
The legs of the walker should remain steadily on the ground.
When folding, proceed in reverse: pull the
lower frame of the walker (to yourself),
to an upright position.
