tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in

AIR COMPRESSOR SAFETY WARNINGS
Know your air compressor. Read the operator’s manual
carefully. Learn applications and limitations of the product, as
well as the specific potential hazards related to the product.
Following this rule reduces the risk of electric shock, fire, or
serious injury.
Drain the tanks of moisture after use. If the product will not
be used for a while, leave the drain valve open until the product
is to be used. This allows moisture to completely drain out and
helps prevent corrosion on the inside of the tanks.
Risk of fire or explosion. Do not spray flammable liquid in a
confined area. The spray area must be well-ventilated. Do not
smoke while spraying or spray where spark or flame is present.
Risk of bursting. Do not adjust regulator to result in the output
pressure being greater than the marked maximum pressure of
attachment. Do not use at pressure greater than 9.3 bar (135
psi).
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not expose the
product to rain. Store the product indoors.
Inspect the tanks yearly for rust, pin holes, or other
imperfections that could cause it to become unsafe. Never
weld or drill holes in the air tanks.
Make sure that the hose is free of obstructions or snags.
Entangled or snarled hoses can cause loss of balance or
footing and may become damaged.
Use the air compressor only for its intended use. Do not
alter or modify the product from the original design or function.
Always be aware that misuse and improper handling of the
product can cause injury to yourself and others.
Never leave a product unattended with the air hose
attached. Never point any air tool towards yourself or others.
Do not operate the air compressor if it does not contain a
legible warning label.
Do not continue to use a tool or hose that leaks air or does
not function properly.
Always disconnect the air supply, turn the unit off, and
remove the battery pack before making adjustments,
servicing a product, or when a product is not in use.
Do not attempt to pull or carry the air compressor by the
hose.
Your tool may require more air consumption than the air
compressor is capable of providing.
Always follow all safety rules recommended by the
manufacturer of your air tool, in addition to all the safety
rules for the air compressor. Following this rule reduces the
risk of serious personal injury.

Never direct a jet of compressed air towards people or
animals. Take care not to blow dust and dirt towards
yourself or others. Following this rule reduces the risk of
serious injury.
Do not use the air compressor to spray chemicals. Your
lungs can be damaged by inhaling toxic fumes. A respirator
may be necessary in dusty environments or when spraying
paint. Do not carry the product while painting.
Inspect hoses periodically. Replace damaged hoses.
Following this rule reduces the risk of serious personal injury.
Check damaged parts. Before further use of the air
compressor or air tool, a guard or other part that is
damaged should be carefully checked to determine that
it will operate properly and perform its intended function.
Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of moving
parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and other conditions
that may affect its operation. A guard or other part that is
damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an
authorised service centre. Following this rule reduces the
risk of shock, fire, or serious injury.
The product incorporates parts such as snap switches,
receptacles, and the like that tend to produce arcs or
sparks, and therefore, when the product is located in a
garage, it should be in a room or enclosure provided for
the purpose, or should be 45 cm or more above the floor.
Never store a tool with the air connected. Storing the tool
with the air connected can result in unexpected firing and
possible serious personal injury.
Protect your lungs. Wear a face or dust mask if the operation
is dusty. Following this rule reduces the risk of serious personal
injury.
Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person
using only identical replacement parts. This ensures that
the safety of the product is maintained.
Always wear eye protection with side shields. Failure to do
so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes, resulting
in possible serious injury.
The product is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
If any parts are damaged or missing, do not operate the product
until the parts are replaced. Use of the product with damaged
or missing parts could result in serious personal injury.
Do not attempt to modify the product or create accessories
that are not recommended for use with the product. Any
such alteration or modification is a misuse and could result
in a hazardous condition leading to possible serious personal
injury.
Never exceed the air tool’s pressure rating as recommended
by the manufacturer. When using the air compressor as an
inflation device, always follow the maximum inflation guidelines
stated by the manufacturer of the item being inflated.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY AND WORKING INSTRUCTIONS
Do not exceed the pressure rating of any component in the
system.
Protect material lines and air lines from damage or puncture.
Keep the hose away from sharp objects, chemical spills, oil,
solvents, and wet floors.
Check the hoses for weak or worn condition before each
use, ensuring that all connections are secure. Do not use the
hoses if a defect is found. Purchase a new hose, or notify an
authorised service centre for examination or repair.
Release all pressures within the system slowly. Dust and
debris may be harmful.
Store idle air compressors out of the reach of children and
other untrained persons. Air compressors are dangerous in the
hands of untrained users.
Maintain the product with care. Follow maintenance
instructions. Properly maintained products are easier to control.
Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage
of parts, and any other condition that may affect the product’s
operation. If the product is damaged, have it serviced before
using. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained
products.
Keep the exterior of the product dry, clean, and free from oil
and grease. Use a clean cloth when cleaning. Never use brake
fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, or any strong
solvents to clean the product. Following this rule reduces the
risk of deterioration of the enclosure plastics.
To prevent accidental starting that could cause serious
personal injury, remove the battery pack from the product
when assembling parts.
Remove the battery pack before starting any work on the
product.
Do not dispose of used battery packs in the household refuse
or by burning them. MILWAUKEE distributors offer to retrieve
old batteries to protect the environment.
Do not store the battery pack together with metal objects (short
circuit risk).
Use only M18 System chargers for charging M18 System
battery packs. Do not use battery packs from other systems.
Never break open battery packs and chargers, and store them
only in dry rooms. Keep battery packs and chargers dry at all
times.
Battery acid may leak from damaged batteries under extreme
load or extreme temperatures. In case of contact with battery
acid, wash it offimmediately with soap and water. In case
of eye contact, rinse thoroughly for at least 10 minutes and
immediately seek medical attention.
ADDITIONAL BATTERY SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire, personal injury,
and product damage due to a short circuit, never immerse
the tool, battery pack, or charger in fluid or allow fluid to flow
inside them. Corrosive or conductive fluids, such as seawater,
certain industrial chemicals, and bleach or bleach-containing
products, etc., can cause a short circuit.
SPECIFIED CONDITIONS OF USE
Air compressors are utilised in a variety of air system
applications. Match the hoses, connectors, air tools, and
accessories to the capabilities of the air compressor.
The air compressor may be used for the following purposes:
●operating light-duty to medium-duty air-powered tools
●operating air accessories, such as air nozzles and
automotive tire inflators
Operate the product only in a well-ventilated area with an an
ambient temperature of 5°C – 40°C. Never operate the product
in places with dust, acids, vapours, or explosive or flammable
gases.

Do not use the product for any other purpose.
OPERATION
Before starting operation, check the valve, tank drain valves,
or safety relief valve. Bleed the air from the tanks. Failure
to depressurise the tank could result in explosion or serious
personal injury.
Do not use any attachments or accessories that are not
recommended by the manufacturer of the product. The use
of attachments or accessories that are not recommended can
result in serious personal injury.
Do not attach any tools to the open end of the hose until startup
has been completed.
Do not use the product in a dusty or contaminated environment.
Using the product in this type of environment may cause
damage to the unit.
BREAK-IN PERIOD
Before first use, run the air compressor at zero tank pressure
with the drain valve fully open for 30 minutes or until the battery
pack is completely discharged.
USING THE PRODUCT
See also the picture section.
1. Connect the air hose to the coupler on the product.
2. Choose the pressure on the pressure regulator.
3. Turn on the product using the auto on/off switch.
4. Wait until the set pressure is reached.
5. Use the product for its intended purpose.
After using the product, turn it offusing the auto on/offswitch,
depressurise the device at the safety valve, and remove the
battery pack.
OVERLOAD FUNCTION
NOTE: The air compressor shuts offduring an electrical
overload. To reset the internal overload switch, turn offthe air
compressor and allow the product to cool. Reinstall the battery
pack before resuming operation.
CHECKING THE SAFETY VALVE
Check the safety valve every day.
1. Install the battery pack.
2. Place the auto on/off switch in the ON position, and allow
the tank to fill. The compressor turns off when the pressure
reaches the cut-out pressure.
3. Place the auto on/off switch in the OFF position.
4. Pull the ring on the safety valve to release the air pressure
for 3–5 seconds. Release the ring. The safety valve must
reset and hold pressure before all the compressed air is
exhausted from the tank or pressure vessel.
If air continues to escape after the safety valve is closed,
contact a MILWAUKEE service facility for repairs.
Do not tamper with the safety valve. The safety valve
automatically releases air if the air tank pressure exceeds
the cutout pressure. The safety valve must work properly
when operating the air compressor. If the safety valve is stuck
open or does not open when the ring is pulled, contact a
MILWAUKEE service facility for repairs.
BATTERIES
Battery packs that have not been used for some time should be
recharged before use.
Temperatures in excess of 50°C (122°F) reduce the
performance of the battery pack. Avoid extended exposure to
heat or sunshine (risk of overheating).
The contacts of chargers and battery packs must be kept clean.
For an optimum lifetime, the battery packs have to be fully
charged after use.
To obtain the longest possible battery life, remove the battery
pack from the charger once it is fully charged.
For battery pack storage longer than 30 days:
●Store the battery pack where the temperature is below
27°C and away from moisture.
●Store the battery packs in a 30% – 50% charged condition.
●Every six months of storage, charge the pack as normal.
BATTERY PACK PROTECTION
In extremely high torque, binding, stalling, and short circuit
situations that cause high current draw, the product vibrates
for about 2 seconds and then the product turns off.
To reset the product, release the trigger.
Under extreme circumstances, the internal temperature of the
battery could become too high. If this happens, the battery
shuts down.
Place the battery on the charger to charge and reset it.
TRANSPORTING LITHIUM BATTERIES
Lithium-ion batteries are subject to the Dangerous Goods
Legislation requirements.
Transportation of these batteries has to be done in accordance
with local, national, and international provisions and
regulations.
●Batteries can be transported by road without further
requirements.
●Commercial transport of lithium-ion batteries by third parties
is subject to Dangerous Goods regulations. Transport
preparation and transport are exclusively to be carried out
by appropriately trained persons, and the process has to be
accompanied by corresponding experts.
When transporting batteries:
●Ensure that the battery contact terminals are protected and
insulated to prevent short circuit.
●Ensure that the battery pack is secured against movement
within the packaging.
●Do not transport batteries that are cracked or that leak.
Check with the forwarding company for further advice.
STORING THE PRODUCT
1. Place the auto on/off switch in the OFF position.
2. Remove the battery pack.
3. Disconnect the air hose and the air tool from the product.
4. Depressurise the product at the safety valve.
5. Drain the air tanks according to instructions.
6. Thoroughly clean the air compressor and any accessories.
The hoses may be stored using the strap on top of the air
compressor.
Leave the safety valve open to allow moisture to completely
drain out and to help prevent corrosion on the inside of the
tank.
