1.2 Description of the Control Panel Functions
Figure 5. Control Panel Function Description
As shown in the image above, it contains the following components on the control panel:
1. IP report button: When the miner is running, press and hold this button
for 1 to 2 seconds, release it when the red indicator light is on. The miner
will broadcast its own IP address information to the local network, meanwhile,
the red indicator light will flash for a few seconds.
2. Reset button: This is used to restore the miner to factory settings. Whilst
the miner is running press and hold the reset button for 10 to 12 seconds,
then release it, after which the red LED indicator will light up and the miner
will be automatically restored to the factory default and restart.
3. Red indicator light: This indicates special events or errors. The red indicator light
is off when the miner is working normally. After pressing the IP report button or
reset button, the red indicator light will light up or flash. The red indicator light will
flash when the mining machine encounters a hash rate board fault or a fan failure.
4. Green indicator light: This indicates the normal state of the mining machine.
The green indicator light will remain flashing during the startup or restart of the

2.6 Preparations Before Powering on the Miner
Please ensure the following related equipment has been prepared before powering on the
miner:
1. The correctly specified power cable for the miner
Caution: Be sure to use the power cord that comes with the miner. Using
power cords from unknown sources may cause serious accidents such as fire.
2. Computer: This is needed for the configuration of the mining device. You can use
Mac, Windows, or a Linux system computer with a GUI and web browser to
configure the mining device.
3. Network switch: When operating multiple mining devices, you can use a network
switch to connect the mining devices, then connect the switch to the router.
4. Router: This is used for connecting to the Internet.
5. DHCP server: By default, the miner uses the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
(DHCP) to obtain an IP address from the network. Depending on the network

●
●●●
environment you use, the DHCP server can be a switch, router or dedicated server
with a gateway function.
2.7 Examinations Before Powering on the Miner
1. Before powering on the equipment, please check all cables are tightly connected.
2. Please check that none of the cables are damaged or have exposed wiring.
3. This can be done by checking the cable jacket is not torn, ripped, or cut open.
4. You can lightly shake or tilt the equipment to check if the fan or other components
may be loose.
5. Please make sure all expected components are present, including both fans.
6. Please check that the miner is connected to your network via the ethernet cable.
3. Setting up your Miner
See how to plug in the miner and identify the IP of the device.

●
●●●
3.1 Plugging in the Miner
This section assumes the user has their own properly rated electrical circuit from their
Consumer Unit (Distribution Board), in the UK this may be in the form of an IEC 60309
socket.
1. Connect the C19 plug into the C20 socket on the miner.

3.2 Finding Miner’s IP Address
Once the MV7 miner is properly connected and powered on, you need to determine
the IP address of the miner before configuration. There are several methods of doing
so as follows:
•View Router or DHCP Server
•Report mining machine IP
•Use other Network Scanning Software
3.2.1 View Router or DHCP Server
You can obtain the IP address of the miner by viewing the IP address list on your router's
web interface or DHCP server.
3.2.2 Mining Machine IP Report
In order to utilise the mining machine IP report function of the management software,
please make sure that the computer and the mining machine are in the same local
area network.
Figure 9. Reporting miner IP via Miner Manager

●
●●●
1. As shown in the above image, open Miner Manager on your computer, jump
to the Miner page, and click on the Register Miner button.
2. Press the IP report button on the control panel of the miner, release the button
when the red indicator lights up. The miner will broadcast its IP address to the local
network. After the Agent software receives the IP report from the miner,
the software will show the IP address of the miner in the list.
3. When you need to find the IP addresses of multiple mining machines, you
can also record the location information of the mining machines by using the
IP report function.
3.2.3 Use other Network Scanning Software
You can also use other network scanning software to find miners. For example, use
Advanced IP Scanner, the download address is https://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/.
The software interface as shown below:
