OPERATING THE HCTVREMOTE
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Allow the device to charge 4 – 6 hours before
using.
HOW TO CHARGE THE HCTVREMOTE
1. Connect the TV remote to your computer using the included
USB cable.
The red/blue indicator light is on while charging.
When fully charged, the red light turns off and the blue
light stays on.
HOW TO TURN THE HCTVREMOTE ON AND OFF
1. Press and hold the Power Key on the remote.
The red/blue light is on during initialization.
The red light turns off and the blue light stays on when
the camera is in standby mode.
TIP: If the device is left idle for 2 minutes, it will turn off
automatically.
2. In standby mode, press and hold the Power Key on the remote
for 3 seconds.
The red indicator light will flash 3 times and then the
entire device will turn off.
HOW TO RECORD
1. In standby mode, press the Power Key on the remote.
The blue indicator light will flash 3 times, which means
the camera is recording live video.
2. Press the Power Key on the remote twice to save the video
and stop recording.
HOW TO RESET THE TIME/DATE STAMP
1. Connect the TV remote to your computer using the included
USB cable.
2. Open the “TIME SETTING” folder.
3. Run “WriteTime.exe.” The program will automatically detect
the device.
4. Click “Update.”
5. Disconnect the TV remote from your computer.
