PLEASE DO A PRACTICE INSTALL ON A TABLE WITH AT LEAST 2 TVS ON OPPOSITE SIDES BEFORE
ATTEMPTING TO MOUNT THE MINI JUMBOTRON ONTO THE CEILING. PLEASE PROTECT THE BASE DURING
ASSEMBLY SO IT DOES NOT SCRATCH. PLEASE DO NOT SKIP THE PRACTICE RUN. THE CEILING INSTALL
WILL BE EASIER IF YOU DIAL IN THE MOUNTS AND UNDERSTAND THE INSTALLATION PROCESS.
Before enjoying your glorious Mini Jumbotron, you will need to assemble its guts. No guts, no glory.
Here is the play-by-play:
STEP 1: Assemble the Mini Jumbotron Quad TV Mounting System using the Instruction Manual. Try to
resist hanging the TVs onto the mounts until you reach STEP 4 below.
STEP 2: Place the Mini Jumbotron base on a flat surface. Remember to protect the bottom graphic.
STEP 3: Insert the non-threaded end of the quad mount pole into the flange of the base and tighten it
down using the 3/16th Allen Key so that the pole does not spin.
STEP 4: Mount the TVs. For the practice run please install 2 TVs on opposite sides. Please refer to the
Instruction Manual for instructions on how to adjust the mounts. Tips:
Each TV should be centered on their side of the base.
The bottom of the TVs should rest on the foam strip with the remote sensor visible.
The bottom corners of your TVs should be set back just enough so that the Velcro on the bottom of
your corner plexi-glass pieces will connect with the Velcro that is in each corner of the base.
The top of each TV should be angled 10-15 degrees towards the floor. You will know they’re at the
right angle once you add the Mini Jumbotron frame.
STEP 5: Place the center flange of Mini Jumbotron frame over the top of the quad pole. Make sure the
bottom of the frame, with the rubber seal, rests flat on top of all TVs.
STEP 6: Connect the 4 bungee cords to the frame and then to each corner of the base.
WARNING: Don’t hurt yourself. People have lost eyes from bungee cords. The Mini Jumbotron is better with sight..
STEP 7: You may tighten the flange screws using the 3/16th Allen Key.
Note: Sometimes tightening the flange screws in the wrong order, unevenly or too tightly makes the frame or base sit
crooked creating gaps. The TVs will hold up the frame so you don’t need to tighten it down much.
STEP 8: Attach the plexi-glass graphics and tighten the TV mounts to make the ceiling install easier.
Note: If there are persistent light gaps on the sides of the TVs then attach some foam seal strip to the sides of your
TVs or directly to the plexi-glass. You may need to get creative to fill gaps.
STEP 9: When you’re satisfied and comfortable with the install process you’re ready to transition it to the
ceiling. Here are some important steps if you need them:
Securely fasten the ceiling mount to the ceiling making sure it will adequately support the weight.
With the frame still attached to the top of the quad mount pole, and the TVs removed, screw the
pole into the ceiling mount. Raise and tighten the frame as high as possible so it is out of the way.
Re-attach the base, bungees, tighten flange screws and make sure the TVs are flush on the base.
Lower the frame onto the TVs. Tighten the flange screws as necessary.
Install the internal LED light strip. Wrap the LED strip around the frame and the mounts but avoid
casting shadows. There is not a specific spot for the LEDs. Just string them where they look good.
Attach the graphics. When you’ve got it looking good and something on the TVs please send me a
video and pics to post.
