4GeneralCharacteristics
The MIRELRM2Integrated On-BoardSystemintegratesthe functionofDRV speedometer, on-board
recording device,aswell asprotection deviceofvigilancemonitoring.Basic functionsaremeasurementof
actual rollingstock driving speed,measurementofcovereddistance,evaluationofmovementdirection,
calculationand indication ofmovementspeed atdrivercabsaswell asrecordgeneration ofmentioned
quantities.Beyond mentionedquantities,the systemcarriesoutarecordofactual valuesforothersafety-
related, operating and technologyquantities fromDRV, dependenton independenttime-and distance
scale inrealtime,inextentbasedonsystemconfigurationand installationmethod appliedforagiventype
ofrail vehicle.Thesystemprovidessafety-relevantaswellassafety-irrelevantoutputsignals,dependent
on measured actual speed andcovereddistanceof the rail vehicle.
The MIRELRM2Integrated On-BoardSystemcarries outthe driverorDRV operatingstaff vigilance
supervision, incompliancewithspecification ofanational train protection systemofClassB, type LSor
eventuallyin compliancewithspecification of vigilancesupervision pursuant toUIC 641.
The MIRELRM2 IntegratedOn-BoardSystemfulfilsthe function ofoperating andtechnologydatatransfer
via the GSMgatewaytoaremoteserver.Apart fromthat, the systemprovidesfordetermination and
registration of DRV position andfor timesynchronizationbased on GPS signal.
The actual extentofMIRELRM2IntegratedOn-BoardSystemfunctional propertiesis determinedby
systemconfiguration for specific type applicationcase.
The MIRELRM2IntegratedOn-BoardSystemcanbe operated on rail vehiclesofalltypesoftraction,on
steering rail vehicles, workmachinesand similar vehicles.
PowersupplyofMIRELRM2IntegratedOn-BoardSystemis providedfromrailvehiclebatterysource.
The specificsystemmodification ischosen based on voltageofthe vehicle batterysource.Operation and
control oftheMIRELRM2Integrated On-BoardSystemiscarried outsolelyfromdriver´scab.
The MIRELRM2Integrated On-BoardSystemisan electronical numericsystemdesigned based on
modules of3rd MIRELsystemgeneration.Systemhasbeen designed asan open one, consisting ofa
securecoreand application-variable extensionmodules.Theapplicationvariabilityofextension modules
and cooperatingdevicesallowsapart fromintegration withthirdparties systemsalsodatatransferfrom
DRV tocentraldatabankbymeansofGSMtechnology,aswell asclocksynchronizationand localization
withuseofGPS technology.
Systemhasbeen conceived asasecuresystemwithSIL4safetyintegritylevel fordedicated safety-
relevantfunctions. The required safetylevel is achieved bymeansofarchitecturewithsecurecoreof
central unit,grouping ofspecialwatchdogcircuits,double-channel(quadruple-signal)measurementof
speedand covereddistance.Incaseofsystemmodification withfunctional property“R” and secure
systemwithSIL4is ZJequipped withduplicated recordingmedium.Incaseofneedinesscompletion of
requirementsofterms EN62625 theZJis equippedwithfunctionalproperty“S” andanotherrecording
mediumwhichmustaccomplishwithrequirementsof thisterm.
The MIRELRM2Integrated On-BoardSystemperforms aone-timeaswell ascontinuousself-diagnostics
and enablestocarryoutfunctional testfortesting ofproperfunction ofsystemcomponentsand important
cooperating devices.Apart fromperiodicexecutionofD3functionaltestand periodical execution ofD4
prophylacticinspection,the systemismaintenance-free.
