2 Detailed Desc iption
This section will guide you th ough the initial setup of the Gateway.
2.1 Powering on the Device
The Gateway uses a standa d USB powe supply that is capable of delive ing at least
constant cu ent of 2A.
Note:
Please use the p ovided USB powe supply and mic o USB cable fo powe ing the device.
1. Plug the USB powe supply to you elect onic socket.
2. Plug the USB cable to the powe supply.
3. Plug the mic o USB cable into the FMLR PicoCell Gateway’s “DC-IN 5V/2A” po t.
4. The Gateway sta ts up once it has powe – no fu the action needed.

2.2 Configurating the Device
It is possible to configu e all elevant FMLR PicoCell Gateway featu es using the
webinte face.
Note:
On the bottom side of the device one can find the MAC add ess of the device.
Please consult you oute ‘s manual on how to find the IP add ess of the FMLR PicoCell Gateway.
1. Please ente the IP add ess of the FMLR PicoCell Gateway into you Web-B owse .
2. You Web-B owse might t igge a secu ity wa ning. You need to accept the connection
to the device.
3. Please ente the use name and passwo d to login. At fi st sta tup, use the default FMLR
PicoCell Gateway login info mation.
Defau t FMLR PicoCe Gateway Login:
Username: oot
Password: (empty)
Note:
It is highly ecommended to set a new passwo d afte the initial setup is done.

2.3 Changing Device Password
1. Open the menu: “System” > “Administ ation”.
2. Ente the new passwo d in the section “Route Passwo d” and confi m it by etyping the
same passwo d.
2.4 Rebooting the Device
You can eboot the FMLR PicoCell Gateway using eithe the Web-Inte face o the eset
button on the f ont side (see Figu e 1).
•Reboot by Web-Interface:
1. Open the menu: “System” > “Reboot”.
2. Click on the “Pe fo m eboot” option item.
3. While ebooting the device will become un esponsive and will automatically etu n to a
wo king state.
Note:
Please make su e that the FMLR PicoCell Gateway did not change the IP add ess afte ebooting.
If so, connect to the Web-Inte face using the co ect IP add ess.
•Reboot by reset button
1. P ess the eset button on the f ont side of the device by inse ting a pape clip o similia
into the pinhole (see Figu e 1).
2. P ess the eset button fo 1 second to t igge a eboot sequence.
3. While ebooting the device will become un esponsive and will automatically etu n to a
wo king state.
Note:
If the eset button is p essed fo mo e than five seconds, a fi mwa e update is t igge ed
Warning:
Do not p ess the eset button fo mo e than 20 seconds. This may lead to a un esponsive device

2.5 Trigger Firmware Update
The Fi mwa e Update can be done at any time and equi es the latest Fi mwa e File
available on
https://mi omico.ch/po tfolio/fml -gateway/
Navigate into the Downloads > Softwa e Section to see the latest Fi mwa e Files
1. Open the Menu: System > Backup / Flash Fi mwa e
2. In the Sub Menu “Flash new fi mwa e image” check the Box “Keep Settings” if you would
like to stay with the cu ent setup of the gateway.
3. P ess the “B owse” Button and select the p eviously downloaded image File Named
“lks7688.img”.
4. P ess the “Flash image...” Button to pe fo m the Fi mwa e Update
5. The Update P ocess will take a ound 5 Minutes and the FMLR PicoCell Gateway will
esta t automaticly.
Attention:
Please make su e that the FMLR PicoCell Gateway is connected to a stable powe supply.
Any powe loss while updating the device may damage the device beyond epai

2.6 Connecting the Device to TTN
Using the Gateay ID on the Bottom Side of the FMLR PicoCell Gateway you can egiste it to
the TTN Netwo k.
1. Afte logging in to you TTN account, please choose the “Gateways“ Menu in the
“Console“.
2. Click on the “ egiste gateway“ item.
3. Click the “I'm using the legacy packet fo wa de ” checkbox fi st.
4. Ente the FMLR PicoCell Gateway‘s ID (see bottom side of the device) in the “Gateway
EUI“ textbox.
5. Give the device a desc iption of you choice.
6. Choose the “Eu ope 868 MHz“ F equency Plan.
7. Set the Route to “ttn- oute -eu“.
8. Set the Antenne Placement acco ding to you device‘s position (in most cases this will be
“indoo “).
9. Click the “Registe Gateway“ item to complete the setup.
Afte completing the setup you will be edi ected to the “Gateway Ove view“.
