Suntaqe “Power Without Baeries” 150 or 180 Wa Pure Sine Wave Inverter Controller
12V, 150W or 12V, 180W. See more about this product on YouTube at: hps://youtu.be/jXTayFPl6u4
⚠WARNING:
All electrical connectors and outlets can be dangerous! Treat the solar and inverter with the same respect as home electricity.
Solar Panel(s) Requirements:
Only 12 volt solar panels can be used. Maximum input for the Suntaqe is 34 volts DC. Check the label on your solar panel
and go by the greatest voltage listed to determine if it can be used. You may use mulple 12 volt solar panels together that
are of a dierent size and power (in a parrallel conguraon only). Follow the included diagrams for proper layout and
further informaon.
AC Power Inverter produces 120 volts AC! Do not allow the unit to get wet, modify it, block any vents, or aempt to plug it
into an outlet. Do not aempt to power up the DC side of the inverter with any power source. Try to keep inverter out of
direct sunlight or in a very small compartment.
Operaon:
The Suntaqe 150 and Suntaqe 180 should not be used to operate crical loads like medical devices or refrigeraon as
the output WILL intermiently cycle ON and OFF without noce. Some cordless drill baery chargers may not operate
correctly with the Suntaqe 150 only. Please monitor them for things like over-heang the baery. If any baery you are
charging has a plug-in DC power supply it may then operate correctly.
Recommendaons & Procedures:
▪ Allow lots of fresh air ow around the Suntaqe unit and avoid direct sun.
▪ Turn OFF the power switch to inverter before hook up to the solar or AC device. Turn on aer all connecons are made.
▪ Follow the diagram for hookup. Connect your posive (+) and negave (-) to the Suntaqe unit’s posive (+)
red scker and negave (-) black or no scker.
▪ Tilt your solar panels directly at the sun with NO shaded cells. For maximum results, the panels should follow the
sun throughout the day.
▪ You will noce a 10-40 second delay minimum before the inverter resumes output. This is a normal cool down
operaon for each shut down. This may also happen once on start up.
▪ You should not expect to operate a 100 wa item with a 100 wa solar panel. You will more likely operate a
60-80 wa item more connuously as the panel may not be at 100% eciency during sunlight hours.
▪ If your item immediately shuts down, the solar panel is not receiving enough direct light, is partly shaded, or your
item requires more power than the panel can produce. If this is the case, you may add more solar panels in parallel
to compensate.
▪ If the Suntaqe shuts down when there is plenty of sunshine on it, the inverter may be overheang. If this is the case,
try to get more venlaon to the inverter or cooler compartment.
▪ The best me to check the operaon is during solar noon with no shading.
▪ If you would like to nd out the was of your AC appliance mulply the volts X amps = was.
Example: 120 volt AC fan that uses 0.5 amps you would calculate as 120 volts X 0.5 amps = 60 was
▪ Turn OFF the power inverter switch and shade the solar panels before plugging/unplugging the solar panels into the
Suntaqe unit!
