Well ventilated
There is a need for good ventilation around the Wine
Cellar for easy dissipation of heat, high efciency for
refrigeration and low power consumption. For this
purpose, sufcient clear space is needed around the
Wine Cellar with its back at least 100mm away from
the wall, its sides at least 200mm and no less than
300mm space from the top. A clear space should be
left to open its door to 160°.
Power Line Cord
The cord should be neither lengthened nor folded into
a coil during operation. Moreover, the cord should
never be touching the compressor at the back of
the Wine Cellar, the surface temperature of which is
quite high when operating. This will deactivate the
insulation or cause leakage of electricity. Using an
extension cord is NOT recommended.
Protection from Moisture
Avoid placing the Wine Cellar in a place where heavy
moisture is present so as to minimize the possibility
of rusting its metal parts.
The Wine Cellar should not be directly sprayed with
water as this could result in poor insulation and
current leakage.
Protection from Heat
The Wine Cellar should not be stored near any heat
source or direct sunshine.
The temperature range of this Wine Cellar is
highly dependent on where it is stored. The
ideal conditions for this Wine Cellar is inside
the household, away from direct sunlight, or
high ambient temperatures.
Stable Installation
Place the Wine Cellar on a strong and level oor.
An unstable installation can produce noise and
vibration. It is best to avoid constant movement and
vibrations that can easily disturb the wine. Putting
the Wine Cellar on carpet may cause a temperature
rise and result in discoloration of the carpet due to
the compressor heat. In such a case, place a hard
wooden board or rubber mat between the carpet
and the unit.
Avoid places that are exposed to coal, gas, petrol or
smoke as discolouring may occur on the Wine Cellar.
Moving
When xed or moved, the Wine Cellar can not be
set horizontally or declined to more than 45° or
upside-down.
Before relocating or moving your Wine Cellar unplug
the power cord, remove the contents and fasten the
door with adhesive tape to prevent the door from
opening while moving.
Correct Positioning of Your Wine Cellar
MAINTENANCE
• The Wine Cellar should be cleaned and
maintained once a month.
• When performing maintenance, make sure that
the power plug is rst disconnected from the
power outlet.
• Wipe the inner and outer surface of the Wine
Cellar and its accessories with a wet cloth.
If they are too dirty, scrub the surface with a
neutral detergent and rinse clean with water
and dry with a clean cloth.
•
For cleaning do not use hot water, solvents,
petrol, alcohol, kerosene, washing powder,
cleanser, alkaline detergent, acid, chemical
cloths, etc. These products may damage
the lacquer coat and plastics. It is not
recommended to directly spray the Wine
Cellar with water as it may cause rust or
weaken insulation.
• Be careful to maintain the rubber seals of the
doors. They should always be cleaned.
• If any plastic parts in the Wine Cellar remain
contaminated for a long time by oil (animal
or vegetable), they will be easily aged and
possibly crack. The drain pan gets dirty very
easily if not cleaned regularly and bad odours
will be produced. It is recommended to clean
this pan regularly.

Wine Cellaring Tips
For wine to last as long as the wine maker suggests
it needs to be stored in the correct conditions. Badly
stored wines may age prematurely, oxidise and
become undrinkable in a very short period of time.
Wine experts recommend a constant temperature
of 12°-14°C as ideal for cellaring reds, whites and
sparkling wine.
Your Wine Cellar has a variable temperature
controller so you can use it to cellar wines at a
constant temperature or you may choose to chill
wines prior to serving.
Thermostat Control
The rst time you turn the unit on, set the
temperature control to “5” position.
The settings of the temperature control are
“0,1,2,3,4,5”. After 20 minutes, adjust the
temperature control setting to “3”. The setting of
“3” should be correct for home or ofce use as the
temperature range is generally between 11°- 14°C
at this setting.
To turn the Wine Cellar off, turn the temperature
control to “0”.
The range between “1” and “5” is from 7° to 18°C.
This depends greatly on where the Cellar is stored.
You should put your appliance in the coolest place in
your room, which can save energy consumption of
your appliance.
If the environment temperature is too high, the
temperature in the Wine Cellar may not reach the
target temperature.
With the variable temperature controller you can
adjust the setting to accommodate the climate you
live in. For example, in the warmer states you may
need to turn the dial to “4” to store your wine at the
ideal temperature as the external temperature will
affect what the Wine Cellar’s internal temperature is.
In the cooler states it may be necessary to lower the
setting to “2”.
How to operate
Cautions
• Moisture can become trapped inside the Wine
Cellar by opening doors, forming a layer of frost
inside. It will weaken the Wine Cellar when the
frost is thick. When it is greater than 2mm thick,
you should defrost your Wine Cellar.
• Defrosting is operated manually. Before
defrosting, remove contents, then set
the knob of the temperature controller to
position”0”(where the compressor will stop
working) and leave the door open until ice has
dissolved thoroughly.
• In the case of speeding up the defrosting, you
may put a bowl of warm water (about 50°C)
into the evaporator, and be sure to set the
knob of the temperature regulator to original
position after defrosting. It’s inadvisable to
heat the evaporator directly with hot water or a
hair dryer while defrosting as this may result in
damaging the inner case.
Note: Turning the temperature control to “0”
position stops the cooling cycle, but does not
shut off the power to the wine Cellar.
If the unit is unplugged, power lost, or turned off,
you must wait 3 to 5 minutes before restarting the
unit. If you attempt to restart before this time delay,
the Wine Cellar will not start.

WHEN THE WINE CELLAR DOES
NOT WORK:
• Check if there is a power failure.
• Check if the power plug is plugged into the
power outlet.
• Check that the household fuse has not blown.
WHEN THE WINE
CELLAR
IS
COOLING EXCESSIVELY:
• The temperature control dial may be set too high.
• If you have placed any foodstuffs containing
a lot of moisture directly under the cool air
outlets, they will freeze easily. This does not
indicate a malfunction.
WHEN THE WINE
CELLAR
IS NOT
COOLING SUFFICIENTLY
• You may have put something hot or a lot of food
stuffs into the Wine Cellar.
• The door may not have been closed properly.
• The door gaskets may be damaged.
• The Wine Cellar may not be ventilated.
• There may be insufcient clearance between
the Wine Cellar and the surfaces immediately
both sides and above.
•
The temperature control dial may not be
set properly.
WHEN THE DEFROSTING WATER
OVERFLOWS INSIDE THE WINE
CELLAR
AND ONTO THE FLOOR
• Check that the drain pipe and the drain hose are
not clogged.
• Check that the drain pan is housed properly.
WHEN THE WINE
CELLAR
’S CABINET
FRONT HEATS UP
In order to safeguard against condensation, there
is an anticondensation pipe which heats up the
cabinet front when running actuated. A warm
cabinet front does not indicate a malfunction.
WHEN CONDENSATION FORMS ON THE
OUTSIDE OF THE WINE
CELLAR
Condensation may form on the outside when the
humidity is high such as in summer. This is the same
result as the condensation formed when chilled
water is poured into a glass. It does not, therefore,
indicate a failure, wipe dry with a dry cloth.
WHEN YOU HEAR A SOUND LIKE
WATER FLOWING
A sound like water owing is the refrigerant owing.
It does not indicate a malfunction.
WHEN THE CABINET’S SIDE PANEL
HEATS UP
The side panel of the cabinet will heat up when the
door is opened or closed frequently, when starting
the unit and when the unit operates in summer with
high ambient outside temperature. In such case, do
not touch the panel, it results from the dissipation
of the heat from inside the cabinet, and it does not
mean that something is wrong with the Wine Cellar.
