Introduction
The CCR-100 is a personal closed caption display for use in movie theater auditoriums. It receives captions for as many as four languages from the MIT
IRC-28C
infrared transmitter panel.
Operation
1.
Move the slide switch to RUN to turn the CCR-100 on. A sign-on screen
will

2.
When captioned content runs, the captions will appear on the

A red LED
warning indicator below and to the left of the display screen would
mean that the CCR-100 is not receiving captioning data. This will happen if the
LANGUAGE
RUN CHARGE
RoHS
USB / PWR
receiver is not in the auditorium where the IRC-28C panel is located or if
the
IRC-28C is idle and not transmitting caption data.
NOTE: The IRC-28C is
typicall
y
configured to transmit only when it is receiving caption data from the
digital
cinema server (DCS).
4.
The CCR-100 will display any one of up to four separate
user

content
through the DCS
and has been configured for transmission in the IRC-28C.
MODEL CCR-100

Batteries
Two AA NiMH rechargeable batteries are included with the CCR-100, along with a cable to connect the CCR-100 to a USB power supply for
recharg
ing.
These batteries provide over
30 hours of continuous operation per full charge. A low battery warning will appear when the unit is turned on if less than
four hours of operation remain.
The CCR-100 can also be used with two AA alkaline batteries which can also provide about 30 hours of operations but are not rechargea
ble.
USB Jack
Use the USB
jack to recharge the installed NiMH batteries. (Alkaline batteries are not rechargeable.) To recharge the batteries, turn off the CCR-100 and
connect the CCR-100 to a USB port on a computer or power supply. To avoid damaging the USB jack, please use only the cable included with the CCR-100.
A green LED above the USB
jack will indicate that the batteries are charging and will go out when they are fully charged. NiMH batteries provide over
30
hours of continuous operation per full charge, and they should be recharged whenever the low battery warning appears as the receiver is turned on.
