OWNER’S MANUAL
P. 6
Riding any kind of
bicycle involves risks
and can result in
damages, injuries and
even death. You are
responsible for your
MOD BIKES product,
experience and safety.
Please read these
instructions and ride
carefully.
Using your MOD BIKES is done at
your own risk. MOD BIKES is not liable
for any accidents, or injuries.
• For safe riding, make sure you choose a bike that is
appropriate for your height and weight.
• Always wear a helmet, make sure it is the right size for
you, it fits snugly and that you buckle it when riding.
• Wear protective clothing and equipment for your riding
level and terrain.
• Turn on your lights when riding in the dark or in low-
visibility conditions.
• Keep in mind that you will be significantly more visible if
you wear bright clothing.
• Keep your MOD BIKES e-bike maintained and in good
working order. For more information, see page 12.
• Read the full battery and charger instructions on page
11.
• Be aware of your surroundings, pedestrians, motor
vehicles and other cyclists. Be courteous to other
riders, and be sure to comply with all traffic laws, rules
and regulations.
• Follow all city rules and regulations that apply to your
area.
• You are responsible for any changes you make to your
MOD BIKES e-bike.
• MOD BIKES are marked with speed and weight
limitations. Please note that exceeding these limits are
done at your own risk.
• Wet conditions impair traction, braking and visibility for
cyclists and other motor vehicles on the road. During wet
conditions, the risk of an accident is significantly higher.
Be aware of the risks and ride with extra care.
• Do not attempt to perform jumps, stunts or any other
tricks that are outside the parameters of this e-bike.
Regulations for electric bicycles
and scooters vary by region and are
constantly being updated. Check with
your local authorities to find out how
to use your e-bike in your area.
This guide may not include the
most recent updates. You can always
find our latest guide online at www.
mod-bikes.com.
MOD BIKES is not liable for accidents,
injuries or product malfunctions that
occur as a result of unauthorized changes/
modifications or tampering with any part of
the original product.

5. Fill both tires with air (35 psi).
6. Lean the bike on the kickstand.
7. Tighten all three stem screws.
8. Assemble the seat post.

9. Shift gears using your shifter with your
right hand: 1 is for slow speed and high
torque, while 7 is for high speed with
better efficiency. Ensure you only shift
gears when pedaling to avoid snapping
your chain.
10.Brake using the right lever (for the
rear wheel) and left lever (for the front
wheel). In most cases, we recommend
using both brakes together gently, but
in some cases, one set of brakes will
suffice. Make sure to learn how your
brake system works and how to use it
properly.

• Make sure you read this
user guide carefully.
• Always wear safety gear,
including a helmet.
• If you need to make an
abrupt stop, pull off the
road to a safe spot away
from other vehicles,
pedestrians and any
other obstacles.
• Before riding, make
sure your battery is fully
charged.
Did you know that on average, 50%
of car trips can be replaced with an
electric bike? By choosing a bike over a
car, you’re reducing pollution and doing
your part to ensure that we can all live
on a greener and healthier planet.
Ready to ride?
Here are a few
things to keep in
mind before you get
moving.
Let’s get moving!
1. Charge your battery using the MOD
BIKES charger provided. The charger
light is red when charging and
turns green when it’s fully charged.
2. Connect the battery by sliding the
battery into place and locking the
battery or door using your MOD BIKES
key.
3. Go over the safety checklist on page 6
before every ride.
4. Adjust the seat and handlebars. If
you’re new to electric bikes, for your
first few rides, adjust your seat so that
you can reach the ground with your
feet when your legs are straight. After
riding for a while and getting used to
the feeling, you can raise your seat to
a more comfortable height.
5. Turn the display on by holding the “i"
button on the control panel.
6. Turn the lights on by holding the “+”
button on the control panel.
7. Adjust your driving mode by pressing the
“+” and “–“ buttons: 0 means no pedal
assist, 1 is slow pedal assist, 2 is higher
pedal assist and so on. This MOD BIKES
model allows you to use the throttle
for maximum-speed without having to
pedal.
8. Ride using pedal assist, the throttle or
both. You may also pedal normally to
use your e-bike as a regular bicycle.
No matter how you choose to ride, ride
safely.
Riding at full throttle requires
experience and appropriate safety
equipment.
Get to know the MOD BIKES
display and its unique features!
Check out page 9.
Do not raise your seat post above
the maximum-height mark. This can
put pressure on and compromise the
frame.

Please follow these instructions for using your battery and charger:
• To charge your battery, connect your 36V or 48V charger to your
battery charging port. Then connect the charger plug to your home
power outlet.
• During charging, the charger indicator will show a red light. Once the
charging is complete, the light will turn green.
• When the light indicates that charging is complete, unplug the
charger from the battery and the outlet.
• MOD BIKES batteries do not have the memory effect, they can be
briefly charged at anytime regardless of their charging state without
having a negative impact.
• If you plan on storing your bike without using it for 30 days or longer,
we recommend leaving the battery charged to 50%. Storing the
battery either empty or full can cause irreparable damage.
Single charge range is affected by many different
factors. There is no way to determine the exact range
for your MOD BIKES e-bike, but there are several
ways to get better range and performance out of your
bike:
• Adjust the system preferences to your needs.
• Pedal and use pedal assist.
• Don’t overload your bike.
• Starting requires a lot of battery power—use the
pedals to give that extra push when starting, then
ride at a steady safe speed.
• Keep your tires inflated to 35 psi.
• Charge your battery until full before each ride.
• Take care of your bike and keep it well maintained.
Always charge your bike’s battery
with the original MOD BIKES charger
and the right voltage (36V or 48V).
Using a different charger can cause a
fire.
All MOD BIKES use
batteries containing
high-quality lithium
ion cells and a
smart battery
management
system, for
long-lasting,
rechargeable
energy.
Your MOD BIKES battery and
charger may get hot when charging.
Do not leave unattended.
Your bike wants to be ridden!
Storing it for long periods of time
without using it can cause a decline
in the battery’s performance.
