Always follow basic safety precautions when using an electrical appliance, including
thefollowing:
• Ensure all packaging and transit materials have been removed. Do not remove the
Rating Label.
WARNING: Packaging materials represent a suffocation hazard to young children.
Always ensure they are kept out of their reach.
• Make sure that your outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to the voltage
stated on the rating label on the appliance.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• WARNING: Keep this Smoothie Maker out of the reach of children. It should only
beused by or under the direct supervision of a responsible adult.
• Take care when handling the appliance. Always unplug it when unattended and
before assembling, disassembling, cleaning or storage.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or benchtop. Do not let it touch hot
surfaces or become knotted. Protect it from sharp edges.
• WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrocution, never operate this product with wet
hands, never immerse it in water or use it where it can drop into water.
• Do not touch moving parts and cutting blades while using the appliance.
• Only operate this blender when the blade attachment is securely in place.
• Do not use this appliance outdoors. It is intended for indoor householduse only.
• CAUTION: Switch off and unplug the appliance after each use. Ensure the motor
stops completely before disassembling and cleaning.
• CAUTION: The BLADES on this appliance are sharp. Take great care when handling
them.

• This appliance is fitted with an over temperature safety device which will operate
if the motor overheats due to excessive use. If this should occur leave the appliance
to fully cool down. The safety device will then reset and you will be able to use the
Smoothie Maker again.

attaching parts. Grip the plug when disconnecting, do not pull on the cord.
• Always allow moving parts to stop before removing or replacing parts.

parts. Avoidcontact with moving parts at all times during operation.
• Always take care when handling the blades, these are extremely sharp parts and
maycause injury.
• Always ensure the Blending Head is properly installedon the Blending Bottle
before operating. The safety interlock system will prevent operation if the appliance
has not been correctly assembled,
Never ...
• Never immerse the Motor Base, Cord SetorMains Plug in water or any other
liquid to protectagainst electrical hazards.
• Never use harsh, abrasive or caustic cleaners to clean this appliance.
• Never blend liquids that are hotter than 500°C.
• Never blend carbonated liquids.
• Never use operate the appliance when empty.
• Never continuously operate the appliance for more than 1 minute. Allow to cool
for a further minute prior to further use.
• Never use the appliance for more than five times in a row without allowing it to
cool down to room temperature before further use.
• Never remove the Blending Bottle when the appliance is operating.
• Never assemble just the Blending Head onto the Motor Base
• Never leave appliance unattended when in use.
• Never attempt to remove or replace any part of the Smoothie Maker whilst it
isstill plugged into the mains supply.
• Never use this appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after it malfunctions or if it
has beendropped or damaged in any way.
• Never overfill the Blender Bottle. The maximum capacity is 600ml as marked on
the Blending Bottle.
If the appliance is passed on to a new owner, please ensure this manual is kept with
the appliance, so that the new owner benefits from the advice contained within it.
The warnings, cautions and instructions discussed in this user manual cannot
cover all possible conditions or situation that could occur. Overall responsibility for
the safe use of this appliance rests with the operator.

Preparing for use
Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all the packaging materials.
Check that all parts and accessories are enclosed in the package and that the
unit is not damaged.
Handle the Blending Head by the base area only. The blades are very sharp.
WARNING: Do not touch the blades.Blades are very sharp.Useextreme
care when handling.Failure to do so can result in personal injury.Theappliance is
equipped with a safety interlock system. Itwill not operate if
theBlender Bottle(2) and Blending Head(3) are not located onto the Motor Base(4).
Wash all parts except the Motor Base in warm soapy water, rinse and
dry. Your Smoothie Maker is now ready for use.
Using the Appliance
WARNING: To avoid accidental starting of the appliance, before assembling
theBlender Bottle and Blending Headto the MotorBase,always ensurethe Power
Cordis unplugged from the wall socket.
Step 1: Place the MotorBase on a stable, flat and stain resistant
surface.Remember, ensure the power cord is not connected at this stage.
Step 2: Prepare the ingredients for your smoothie.Peel orcore any
fruits/vegetables andcut them into smaller pieces before placingthem into
the Blender Bottle.
Step 3: Add some water. Normally you can fill to the 600ml marks but allow a
little more space if any of your ingredients will produce a lot of froth.
Step 4: Carefully screw the Blending Head to the threaded top of the Blender
Bottle as shown in DIAGRAM A. Tightenadequately to avoid any leakage.
Step 5: Invert the Blending Bottle / Blending Head assembly and locate it on to the
Motor Base. Twist clockwise to secure. See DIAGRAM B.
Step 6: Connect the Power Cord(5) to a suitable wall socket and switch the socket
on.

Step 7: Press the “PUSH” Power Button and the Smoothie Maker will start to
blend your ingredients. “Pulsing” the power ONand OFF generally gives the best
results
Step 8: When you blended your ingredients to the desired consistency, switch off
the power at the wall socket and unplug.
Step 9: Remove the Blending Bottle / Blending Head assembly from the Motor
Base by twisting anti-clockwise and then lifting it away.
Step 10: Check your ingredients are properly blended. If not repeat Steps 5-8 as
required.
CAUTION: Do not exceed the maximum continuous operating time.
Step 11: Invert the Blending Bottle / Blending Head assembly and carefully
unscrew the Blending Head. If you want, you can now decant your smoothie into a
glass or take it away with you in the Blending Bottle by fitting the Travel Lid (4) as
shown in DIAGRAM C.
IMPORTANT!!
• Do not fill the Blender Cups with HOT liquids or carbonated beverages.Build up
of pressure from released gases can cause the container to burst resulting in
possible injuries.
• Do not operate the appliancewhen thecups areempty.
• Do not operate the appliance for more than 1 minute continuously.Recommended
usage time is 1 minutes ON followed by 1 minute OFF.
WARNING!!
• Always ensure the Blade Attachment is tightly and securely screwed on to the
Blender Cup beforeoperating the appliance.
• Only operate the Smoothie Maker for as long as is needed to reach the right
consistency.
• The blades are very sharp. Always handle the Blade Attachments with care.
• Do not touch the blades with your hands as this may cause injuries. (Refer to
Fig.3)

Troubleshooting
Cleaning
• The appliance is always easier to clean if you do soimmediately after use.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, scourers,acetone, alcohol, etc. to clean the
appliance.
• All detachable parts except the Motor Base and Power Cordcan be
washed in warm soapy water.
Step 1:Switch the appliance off, remove the plug from thewall socket and
wait until the motor / blades have stoppedrotating.
Step 2:If necessary, remove the Blending Bottle / Blending Head assemblyfrom the
Power Base.
Step 3: Remove the Blending Head.
Step 4: Wash all parts in warm soapy water then rinse.
Step 5:Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
WARNING: The blades are sharp. Take great care when handling
them.
Step 6:Clean the base unit with a damp cloth.
Step 7:Store in a dry location out of the reach of children
WARNING:Never immerse the Power Basein water or any other liquid,or rinse it
under the tap.
PROBLEM SOLUTION
The appliance does not work. The appliance is fitted with a Safety Interlock
System. It will not operate if the Blending
Bottle / Blending Head assembly has not been
correctly assembled onto the Motor Base.
Switch off and check for correct assembly.
This is normal. It isjust manufacturing residues
burning off. If the smell persists, make sure
you are not overloading the Smoothie Maker.
There is a smell from the motor unit the
first few times the appliance is used.
Switch off immediately and contact your
Service Centre for advice.
There is a lot of noise when operating, a
strong smell or the unit is becoming
very hot.

Berry Blitz
Ingredients Information
Directions
300ml cranberry juice
4 x strawberries: washed and diced into
small pieces
Handful of blueberries: washed
8 x raspberries: washed
4 x tbsp. of natural yoghurt
Makes approx. 500ml (but will depend on the
fruits used)
Tips:
• Prepare all the ingredients before you start.
• Make sure you have enough liquid to get a good
result.
• Consuming fruits high in vitamin C such as this
selection helps to build a healthy immune system.
• Yoghurt is excellent for keeping the gut healthy.

2. Prepare all the ingredients as suggested.
3. Put the ingredients into the smoothie bottle, fit on the blade attachment and fit
onto motor base as directed in the IM and switch on.
4. After all the ingredients have been well mixed and the smoothie is the consistency
you require, switch off and remove the smoothie bottle as shown in the IM.
5. This can be poured over crushed ice.
6. Clean the Smoothie maker as described in the IM.

¼ melon flesh only cut into small pieces

• Prepare all the ingredients before you start.
• Make sure the fruit pieces are small and of
similar size to get the best result.
1. Prepare the ingredients as suggested.
2. Put the ingredients into the smoothie bottle, fit on the blade attachment and fit
onto motor base as directed in the IM and switch on.
3. After all the ingredients have mixed and the smoothie is the consistency you
require, switch off and remove the smoothie bottle as shown in the IM.
4. This can be poured over crushed ice.
5. Clean the Smoothie maker as described in the IM.
Almost a Lassi (Yoghurt based drink originating the Punjab)

Tips:
• Prepare all the ingredients before you start.
• You could use a toffee flavoured ice cream.
• You could use almond milk and a dairy free
ice cream for those who are lactose intolerant.

fit onto the motor base as directed in the IM.
3. Switch on.
4. After all the ingredients have mixed and the smoothie is the consistency you

Banana Dream

4 x large carrots: peeled, diced and steamed or
cooked in the microwave until soft (3 mins
approx)
350ml of freshly squeezed or carton orange
juice
1x lime juice
Pinch of ground ginger
Stick of celery and a sprinkle of freshly chopped
coriander to serve.
Makes approx. 500ml (but will depend on the
fruits and vegetables used)
Tips:
• Prepare all the ingredients before you start.
1. Prepare all the ingredients as suggested.
2. Put all the ingredients into the smoothie bottle, fit on the blade attachment and fit
onto the motor base as directed in the IM.
3. Switch on.
4. After all the ingredients have mixed and the smoothie is the consistency you
require, switch off and remove the smoothie bottle as shown in the IM.
5. If serving in a glass add a sprinkle of fresh coriander and celery stick to stir!

Orange and Carrot Smoothie
