Important Safety Information
Read this manual thoroughly before first use, even if you are familiar with this type of
product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock andinjury when correctly adhered to. Keep the manual in a safe place for
future reference.
Always follow basic safety precautions when using an electrical appliance, including
thefollowing:
• Ensure all packaging and transit materials have been removed. Do not remove the
Rating Label.

beused by or under the direct supervision of a responsible adult.
• Take care when handling the appliance. Always unplug it when unattended and
before assembling, disassembling, cleaning or storage.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or benchtop. Do not let it touch hot
surfaces or become knotted. Protect it from sharp edges.
• WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrocution, never operate this product with wet
hands, never immerse it in water or use it where it can drop into water.
• Do not touch moving parts and cutting blades while using the appliance.
• Only operate this blender when the blade attachment is securely in place.
• Do not use this appliance outdoors. It is intended for indoor householduse only.
• CAUTION: Switch off and unplug the appliance after each use. Ensure the motor
stops completely before disassembling and cleaning.
• CAUTION: The BLADES on this appliance are sharp. Take great care when handling
them.
• Do not use the appliance if it malfunctions or if the power cord isdamaged. A

• This appliance is fitted with an over temperature safety device which will operate
if the motor overheats due to excessive use. If this should occur leave the appliance
to fully cool down. The safety device will then reset and you will be able to use the
Smoothie Maker again.

• Always use the appliance on a secure, dry, level surface.
• Always switch off and unplug the appliance after use and before removing or
attaching parts. Grip the plug when disconnecting, do not pull on the cord.
• Always allow moving parts to stop before removing or replacing parts.
• Always keep hands, hair and clothing as well as other utensils away from moving
parts. Avoidcontact with moving parts at all times during operation.
• Always take care when handling the blades, these are extremely sharp parts and
maycause injury.
• Always ensure the Blending Head is properly installedon the Blending Bottle
before operating. The safety interlock system will prevent operation if the appliance
has not been correctly assembled,

• Never immerse the Motor Base, Cord SetorMains Plug in water or any other
liquid to protectagainst electrical hazards.
• Never use harsh, abrasive or caustic cleaners to clean this appliance.
• Never blend liquids that are hotter than 500°C.
• Never blend carbonated liquids.
• Never use operate the appliance when empty.
• Never continuously operate the appliance for more than 1 minute. Allow to cool
for a further minute prior to further use.
• Never use the appliance for more than five times in a row without allowing it to
cool down to room temperature before further use.
• Never remove the Blending Bottle when the appliance is operating.
• Never assemble just the Blending Head onto the Motor Base
• Never leave appliance unattended when in use.
• Never attempt to remove or replace any part of the Smoothie Maker whilst it
isstill plugged into the mains supply.
• Never use this appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after it malfunctions or if it
has beendropped or damaged in any way.
• Never overfill the Blender Bottle. The maximum capacity is 600ml as marked on
the Blending Bottle.
If the appliance is passed on to a new owner, please ensure this manual is kept with
the appliance, so that the new owner benefits from the advice contained within it.
