Function1-MainSwitch-WorkshopandDiagnostics(0=OFF/*1=ON)
Themodulecanquicklyandeasilybeenabledanddisabledusingthisfunction.Itactslikeamasterswitch.Whendisabled,themodule
becomescompletelyinactiveandbehavesasifitwasnotinstalled.
Setting0disablestheentiremodulewhilekeepingallotherfunctionsettingsintact.Thisallowsturningthemoduleoffandbackonwithoutthe
needtoreconfigurealloftheotheruserconfigurablesettings.
IMPORTANT:Inordertoavoidproblemsw ithdiagnostictoolsandtoavoidconfusionorinjurybyunexpectedtopmovement,we

Function2-One-Touchtopoperation(0=OFF/*1=ONWU/2=ONWD/3=EXTWU/4=EXTWD)
Thisfunctionenablesone-touchconsoleswitchoperation,forwhichthewindowpositionaftertopopenaswellasanoptionalextended
conveniencemodecanbeprogrammed.
Setting1isstandardone-touchmodewithwindowsup(WU)aftertopopen.Setting2isstandardone-touchmodewithwindowsdown(WD)
aftertopopen.Settings3and4(extended)arethesameas1and2,butadditionallyitispossibletoturnofftheignitionandpullthekeywhilethe
topstillcontinues.
Settings3and4requireextraresponsibilityandcautiontoavoidinjurybymovingtoppartstopassengersnotexpectingthetopto
continuerunningaftertheengineisturnedoff!
Sunroofandtopoperationwiththeconsoleswitch:
Holdingdowntheswitch(>2sec)ineitherdirectionwilloperatethetopinmanualmodeforaslongastheswitchisheld.
TapOPEN1xtoopenthesunroofonly.
TapOPEN2xtoopenthetopandrollwindowsup.
TapOPEN3xtoopensunroof,topandwindows.
TapCLOSE1xtoclosetop,windowsandsunroof.
TapCLOSE2xtoclosetopandwindowsonly.
TapCLOSE3xtoclosethetoponly.
Taptheconsoleswitchinanydirectiontointerruptanongoingoperationatanytime-evenifthetopwasstartedbyremote!

Tapthetopcloseswitchwhenthetopisalreadyclosedtorollallwindowsup.

Thisfunctionallowsfullautomatictopoperationwiththeoriginalremotefobbypressingthelockandunlockbuttons.
Alsohereitispossibletodetermine(independentlyfromoperationviathecenterconsoleswitch)thepositionofthewindowsafteropeningthe
top.
Setting1isstandardremotemodewithwindowsup(WU)aftertopopen.Setting2isstandardremotemodewithwindowsdown(WD)aftertop
open.Settings3and4(extended)arethesameas1and2,onlythatitispossibletoturntheignitiononandstarttheenginewhilethetopstill
continues.Additionallygettingoutofthecarandlockingthedoorsbyremotewillnotinterruptanongoingtopoperation.
Settings3and4requireextraresponsibilityandcautiontoavoidinjurybymovingtopparts,aslockingthe(previouslyunlocked)
doorsw iththeremotew illnotstopthetop!

HoldUNLOCKdownforabout1sec.,thenletgo:Allwindowsrolldown.

WARNING:Oncethetopisstartedwithintheprogrammedspeedlimit,itwillcontinuerunning,evenifthespeedlaterexceedsthe
limitduringthetopoperation!
Function5-All-Windows-Switch(*0=NORMAL/1=ONE-TOUCH)
Thisfunctionallowstoprogramthe"all-windows"switchtoraiseallwindowsusingOne-Touch.ByfactorythisswitchonlydoesOne-Touch
down.
Function6-Foldingmirrors-E88only-(*0=OFF/1=AUTO/2=MANUAL/3=AUTO2/4=MANUAL2)
Thisfunctionallowsremotecontrolofthemotorizedmirrors(factoryoptionmotorizedmirrorsrequired).
Setting1willfoldthemirrorsinautomaticallywhenlockingthecarandunfoldthemwhenthedriver'sdoorisopened.
Setting2willfoldthemirrorsinwheneithertheroundlockbuttonontheremoteorthe"lock"surfaceonthetouchdoorhandlesistappedtwice
within5seconds.Theyfoldoutwhenthedriver'sdoorisopened.
Setting3and4arethesameas1and2,butthemirrorsfoldoutimmediatelywhenthecarisunlocked.
IMPORTANT:Fortechnicalreasonsthemodulecannotreadthecurrentstatusofthemirrorsandthuskeepstrackofthedesiredstate
internally.Itcanonlytogglethemirrorposition,justlikethedriver'sdoorbuttondoes.Ifthemirrorsgetoutofsync(unfoldingwhilelockingor
foldingwhileunlocking),simplyhitthedoorbuttononcetobringthembackinsync.

Function7-Automaticdoorunlocking(*0=OFF/1=ACC/2=IGN)
Thisfunctioncanbesettoautomaticallyunlockthedoorswheneitherthekeyispulledfromtheignitionlock(settingACC)orwhentheignition
isturnedoff(settingIGN).Thisremovestherequirementtopullthedoorhandlestwicetogetoutofthecar.
Function8-Sequentialdoorunlockviadoorhandle-E88only-(*0=OFF/1=ON)
Ifthecarisequippedwithcomfortoptiontouchhandles(keylessentry)andsettoonlyunlockthedriver'sdoorwhenthedriver'sdoorhandleis
touched,thisfunctionallowsopeningofalldoorsifdesired.Withthisfunctionenabledandthecarlocked,simplytouchthelocksurfacefirst
(audibleclickfromdoorlocks),thenwait3secandtouchtheunlocksurfaceinsidethehandletounlockalldoorsatonce.
Function9-Factoryremotewindowsblocking(*0=OFF/1=ON)
Onsomecarsthewindowscanbeloweredand/orraisedviatheremotefromthefactory(byholdingthebuttondown).Incaseswherethis
interfereswithsmartTOPoperation(windowsstartrollingupwhentryingtoclosethetop),thefactoryfunctioncanbeblockedandallcontrolleft
tothesmartTOPwiththisfunction.
ThisbehaviorhasbeenreportedforsomeZ4roadstermodels.Formaximumcompatibilitypleasedonotturnthisonunlessnecessary.

Programming
Thismoduleisequippedwithourinteractivesetupfeaturetoalloweasysettingofthedesiredoptionsortemporarilydisablingthe
entiremodule.
Programming:
AllprogrammingisdonebyusingtheConvertibletop
switch(3)andthetwogreenturnsignal(indicator)arrows
(1,2).Functionsareindicatedbytheleftarrow(1)and
theirsettingsareindicatedbytherightarrow(2).
NavigationisdonebytappingTOPCLOSE(nextfunction)
ortappingTOPOPEN(nextsetting).Afterselectingthe
lastfunctionorfunctionsetting,thesetupautomatically
jumpsbacktothefirstfunction/lowestsetting.Eachtime
eitheranewfunctionisselectedorafunction'ssettingis
changed,thearrowswillindicatethenewstatusbyfirst
blinkingthefunction(leftarrow)andthenthecurrent
setting(rightarrow).
Toenterprogrammingmode:TurntheignitionfullyON
andthencompletelyOFF,thenpushandholdtheTOP
OPENswitchuntiltheleftarrowblinksoncetoindicate
function1.Nowletgo.Fromthispointonyoucannavigate
throughthefunctionsbytappingCLOSEandoncethe
arrowsarefinishedindicatingthefunctionandsetting,
changethesettingbytappingOPEN.Thenewsettingsare
activeimmediately.

insertthekeyintotheignitionlock.Endofprogramming
modeisindicatedbybotharrowslightingup
simultaneouslyfor1second.
