Preparation Steps
1. Connect Your Mobile Phone to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi: Make sure your mobile phone is
connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
2. Ensure Network Compatibility: Verify that both your smartphone and the
smart gateway are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This ensures a seamless
and effective connection between your smartphone and the Smart Gateway.
Getting Ready for Use
1. Downloading the MOES App
The MOES App offers enhanced compatibility compared to the
Tuya Smart/Smart Life App. It functions seamlessly with Siri for
scene control, provides widgets, and offers scene
recommendations as part of its brand-new, customized service.
(Please note: While the Tuya Smart/Smart Life App still works, we
highly recommend using the MOES App.)
2. Register or Log In
Access the Registration/Login Interface. To create an account, tap "Register" and enter
your phone number to receive a verification code. Set your password after verifying your
phone number. If you already have a MOES account, select "Log In" to proceed.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: Can gateway/router devices penetrate walls or control Zigbee devices on
different floors?
While penetration through walls is possible, the specific distance depends on wall
thickness and material. Moving between floors is more challenging. To address this,
Zigbee repeater products can effectively expand the Zigbee communication network
range, facilitating communication between devices on different floors.
Q2: What if the signal coverage of the gateway/router is poor?
Signal coverage is influenced by gateway/router placement and distance from sub-
devices. For larger spaces like flats and villas, using more than two gateways/routers or
adding Zigbee repeaters is advisable to enhance coverage and connectivity.
Q3: Can sub devices under different gateways be linked?
Yes, sub devices under different gateways can be linked. This linkage is supported not
only through the cloud but also locally, enabling efficient sub-device interaction even
when the external network is disrupted. This functionality requires at least one high-
performance gateway, such as a wired Zigbee gateway, among the multiple gateways in
the same LAN.
Q4: What if the sub device cannot be added to the gateway?
Ensure the sub-device is reset to the wired state. Insufficient wireless signal strength
may also be a factor. Check for metal walls blocking the gateway and sub-device or high-
power appliances causing interference. It's recommended to keep the distance between
the gateway device and the sub-device within 5 meters and avoid obstruction by walls
for optimal connectivity.
