03. Getting star ted
Installation Instructions
Choose even surfaces to install the detector. Avoid
exposing it to bright light, direct sunlight, open re,
water, or dust.
Operating Instructions
• Do not use the detector while it is affected by vi-
bration, exposed to bright light or direct sunlight
• Use only the adapter supplied with the detector
• If the detector was stored at low temperature for
a long time, keep it at room temperature without
packaging for at least 6 hours before use
• Turn the detector off if it has not been used for a
long time
• Protect the detector against moisture
• Avoid dropping, hitting and shaking the
detector – all of the above may cause defects
and breakdowns during operations
Power on
Use the power adapter to connect the
detector to power supply (100-240V/50-
60 Hz). To turn the detector on, press the
POWER button for a short time. Upon
completion of the self-diagnostics pro-
cedure, the detector is ready to use.

Banknote Verication
To verify a banknote place it into the loading tray.

05. Useful features
Upper Cover Removal
If banknotes are jammed in the transport path or
there are foreign objects stuck inside, remove the
upper cover to eliminate the jam. Simultaneously
press from both sides the spots marked by “≡”
pictograms and slide the cover in the direction
indicated by arrows.
Mute Mode
To turn the audio signal on/off, press and hold the
POWER button for 10 seconds, until three beeps
follow.
06. Connection to PC
Moniron Dec POS automatic detector can be
connected to a PC via USB port located on the back
panel of the device. When the detector is connected
to a PC or laptop with special software installed,
banknote verication data is displayed on the
screen, and the operational statistics are available for
download (option).
07. Sof tware updates
Efciency of Moniron Dec POS depends on prompt
software updates. Alongside with emission of new
banknote types and modications, new software for
the detector is developed. You can install it at the
Ser vice Center. All contact information is available at

08. Error indication and
detection results
In case a suspicious banknote is detected or a
banknote fails to be identied, the detector alerts
the user by error indication. A genuine banknote can
be impossible to identify if it is creased, old, dirty
or torn.
!Please note that banknotes with new designs
occasionally appear in circulation. If errors occur
during verication of such banknotes, a new
version of the software has to be installed at the
Service Center.

Feed the banknote into the loading tray
once again. Position the banknote evenly,
it should not be placed askew, at an
angle, be folded, creased, or torn.
The banknote is jammed in the
transport path
1. The banknote was fed at an angle.
2. The banknote is creased, torn, folded
or bent.
3. There are a few banknotes in the
loading tray.
Press and hold the POWER button for
3 seconds until an audio signal follows.
If the banknote fails to be ejected from
the upper tray, the upper cover has to be
removed to retrieve it (see section “05.
Useful features”).

Maintenance

updates, service and maintenance specics, or have
other questions about this equipment use and oper-
ation, please visit www.moniron.com or contact our
customer suppor t at: +49 40 657 98 07 68. The basic
software version upgrade is a paid ser vice.
11. Warranty
The Manufacturer warrants successful performance of the
device during the warranty period from the date of purchase
provided the user complies with storage and operation
requirements specied in this User Manual.
Please keep the original packaging, User Manual and a lled
warranty certicate. The warranty is revoked in case the de-
vice is shipped without its original packaging or its operation
and maintenance requirements have not been complied with.
The Manufacturer is not liable for any defects or failures that
occur due to improper transpor tation, storage and operation,
and due to mechanical damages. In case the device fails to
function properly during the warranty period, the owner is
entitled to have it repaired at the Service Center. The device
is accepted for warranty repair ser vice clean, free of dust and
dirt. Cleaning ser vices are not included in warranty mainte-
nance and are provided at extra charge.
Warranty maintenance and ser vices do not include training
on the device operation and any functions aimed to ensure
its performance (connecting, testing, adjustment, routine
maintenance, etc.) which can be per formed by the owner
according to the instructions in this User Manual.
The Manufacturer reserves the right to make alterations in
the software and engineering design of the device which are
not described in this User Manual.
Warranty ser vices are not provided if:
• the warranty cer ticate is missing or incorrectly lled;
• the information in the warranty certicate is edited;
• the operating instructions specied in the “Operating
Instructions” section have not been followed;
• the device has mechanical damages;
• there are foreign items or liquid inside the device;
• there is evidence that the sealed device has been opened.
This warranty does not cover accumulators, power adapters,
power supply units, connectors, lamps, batteries, belts, fuses,
brushes, parts of the device housing and/or any other parts
which have their own limited uptime. The warranty does not
cover the defects or failures caused by unstable environmen-
tal conditions or power failures. Replaced defective parts are
property of PRO Intellect Technology. Defective equipment is
shipped to the Service Center at the owner ’s expense.
