Introduction
Since 1998 Bluetooth has been a pioneering forerunner of sending data wirelessly between devices. Over the years its usage and
functionality has only improved to the point now whereas almost all mobile devices/ computers come with it as standard. We at Monitor
Audio now bring you the S150, with 40 years of knowledge to produce a TRUE Hi-Fi, Bluetooth enabled speaker system.
The Airstream S150 will provide many years of listening pleasure.
S150Capabilities
• Stream audio from any paired Bluetooth devices.
• Play audio through the Analogue input (3.5mm Jack).
• Charge portable devices using the USB connector.
USBCompatibility
The USB input on the back of the S150 produces 5v-1amp power
to connected devices. This can be used to charge select portable
devices such as Android, iOS and Windows phones.

1. Standby. Either puts the S150 into standby or wakes it
from standby. When woken from standby it will start in the
previously selected input.
2. Informative LED. Willilluminatedierentcoloursandash
to identify the current state of the S150 (refer to page 8 for
the key and explanations behind each of these).
3. Volume up. Increases the volume level of playback.
4. Volume down. Decreases the volume level of playback.
5. Bluetooth Source. Switches the S150 to the Bluetooth input.
6. Auxiliary Source. Switches the S150 to the Auxiliary input.

7. Bluetooth Unpairing/ Factory Reset button. This button
serves two purposes: A short press will unpair the Bluetooth
device currently connected to the S150. Press and hold for
12 seconds to perform a factory reset, this will wipe all
paired Bluetooth devices from the S150’s memory.
8. Mains power input. Connect the supplied mains adaptor here.
9. Auxiliary input. This is used to connect an additional device
via a 3.5mm stereo jack lead (not supplied).
10. USB input. Mobile devices can be charged via the USB, but
the S150 needs to be out of standby mode.
11. ABR. Auxiliary Bass Radiator.

ConnectingthePower
IMPORTANT: Please follow the following instructions in sequence.
Connect the mains adaptor to the back of the S150, connect to
wall socket and where applicable turn on.
TurningonfortheFirstTime
Whenturningonfromstandbyforthersttime,theS150will
startup in the Auxiliary Source input (green LED).
PlayADeviceUsingthe3.5mmAuxInput
Before proceeding, please ensure the S150 is turned on from
standby mode.
1. Insert a standard 3.5mm stereo jack cable (sold separately)
into the auxiliary input on the back of the S150 and the other
end into the device you wish to play from.
2. If not already in the Auxiliary Input (Green LED), press the
Auxiliary Source button on the side of the S150 (item 6 on
Page 2).
3. Press play on your device.

HINT
Volume controls on the playback device and S150
will remain independent of each other, we would
recommend turning the volume to near max on the
device and controlling the output volume at the S150.

EnteringBluetoothMode
Before proceeding, please ensure the S150 is turned on from
standby mode.
Press the Bluetooth Source button on the side of the S150 (item 5
onpage2)toenterBluetoothpairing,theLEDwillstartashing
Cyan.
PairingAndroidDevices
1. Go into your android device ‘Settings’ and select ‘Bluetooth’.
Here the S150 should appear in the list of available devices.
If not, then press the ‘Search for devices’ option. This will
refresh the list for any unlisted devices.
2. Select the ‘Monitor Audio S150’ to pair your android device
tothespeaker.Youwillgetanoticationfromyourdevice
when pairing is successful.
3. Once paired with a device the S150’s front LED will become
solid Cyan to indicate a connection with a Bluetooth device
has been established.
4. Start playing audio from your Android device using your
prefered application.
Volume controls will remain independent of each other.

(KitKat). Visuals may vary depending on your device’s
rmwareversion.
NOTE
If no devices are appearing in Bluetooth you may have
the feature switched o on your device. Swipe the
‘On’ switch in the top right of the ‘Bluetooth’ screen.

PairingiOSDevices
1. On the device, go to Settings, then Bluetooth. Here the S150
should appear in the list of available devices.
2. Select the ‘Monitor Audio S150’ to pair your iOS device to the
speaker.
3. Once paired with a device the S150’s front LED will become
solid Cyan to indicate a connection with a Bluetooth device
has been established.
4. SwipeupfromthebottomoftheiOSdevice(startingothe
screen) to bring up the control centre, note that the Airplay
icon will now display the S150 as the playable device.
5. Start playing audio from your iOS device using your prefered
application.
Volume controls will remain independent of each other.

varydependingonyourdevice’srmwareversion.
NOTE
If no devices are appearing in Bluetooth you may have

PairingOtherDevices
With Bluetooth now being such a widely used protocol across
a vast array of devices such as PC/ Mac/ Windows Phones, the
options do not stop at Android or iOS.
1. Go to the Bluetooth settings of your playback device and
enable Bluetooth, select and connect to ‘Monitor Audio
S150..’. Once connected, the LED on the front of the S150 will
change to solid Cyan.
2. Please refer to your device’s instructions for how to play to
the S150.
UnpairingBluetoothDevices
When a device has been previously paired (the S150 will store
the 5 most recent devices) it will automatically pair when the
S150 is available and Bluetooth is enabled on said device. When
paired with a device the S150’s front LED will be solid Cyan in the
Bluetooth input.
1. To pair a new device and disconnect the currently connected
device you can press the ‘Bluetooth Unpairing Button’ (item
7 on page 2).
2. Once unpaired with a device the S150’s front LED will start
ashingCyan.
To pair a new device refer to page 4 (for Android), 5 (for iOS) and
6 (for other devices).
Bluetooth setup will vary depending on the device.
For more information please refer to your device’s
instructions for how to play to the S150.
NOTE
If the LED is solid Cyan, a previously paired device
is still connected to the S150 and needs to be
disconnectedbyeitherturningoBluetoothonthe
device or by unpairing (see next section).
NOTE

FactoryReset
Should the situation arise where you need to carry out a factory
resetbecauseofproblemsordicultieswiththeS150,follow
the steps below.
1. With the S150 powered up and out of standby mode, press
and hold the ‘Bluetooth Pairing/ Factory Reset’ Button for
approximately 12 seconds (Item 7 on page 2).
2. The S150 will have all its settings reset when it goes into
standby mode.
ChargingviatheUSB
Before proceeding, please ensure the S150 is turned on from
standby mode.
Connect the device’s supplied USB lead to the S150 and your
device. It will automatically start charging.
WallMounting
The Airstream S150 can be wall mounted using the integrated 1/4
inch UNC threaded insert. As seen below.
The Monitor Audio Speaker Mount (sold separately) will work
with the S150.

If your device is not charging when connected to the
S150 it may require more than the 5v (1amp) that the
S150 provides. Refer to your devices instructions for
more information.

TroubleShooting
If experiencing problems with the Airstream S150, there are some
quick and easy checks, which may help to solve these problems.
UnabletoConnectusingBluetooth
• Check that your streaming device is Bluetooth enabled and
paired with the S150.
• If you cannot nd the S150 you may need to enable the
discovery of devices.
• Keep away from potential sources of interference which may
aectBluetoothsignal,suchasmicrowaveovens.
• If you cannot connect to the S150 and the S150 is displaying
a solid Cyan LED in the Bluetooth input then another device
may already be paired with the S150. Press the ‘Unpairing
button’ (refer to page 6) to unpair the connected device and
make the S150 discoverable.
• If audio is breaking up, reduce the distance from the S150.
TheS150hasForgottenmyBluetoothDevice
• The S150 has a memory bank of 5 Bluetooth devices, once a
6th device is added then the device not used for the longest
period of time will be forgotten.
NoSound
• Check the volume, source and play/ pause settings.
• Check that the mains power lead is connected to the S150
and the mains power socket and is switched on at the wall.

• Check that the mains power lead is connected to the S150
and the mains power socket and is switched on at the wall.
• Remove the power from the S150, wait for the LED to go out
and then reconnect the power.
