7
DETAILED SETTINGS
This section details the settings in the software application.
Global
•Global MIDI Channel: This sets the MIDI channel that the controller will use to send
Note messages, as well as MIDI messages that are sent when a button is pressed.
This should be set to match the MIDI channel of the application that you are
controlling. The range of values is 1 ~ 16.
•Transport MIDI Channel: This specifies the MIDI channel that the controller will use
to send MIDI messages when the MMC buttons are pressed. This should be set to
the MIDI channel of the application that you are controlling. The possible values are

8
1 ~ 16 and Scene MIDI Channel. If this is set to Scene MIDI Channel, messages will be
sent on the same MIDI channel as that of the Scene.
Trigger Pads
Depending on the assign type, the Trigger Pads can transmit Note messages or Control
Change messages. For each Trigger Pad, you can individually specify the assigned message,
the MIDI transmit channel, the behavior of the trigger pad, the note number, the control
change number, and the values transmitted when the pad turns on or off.
Depending on its assign type, a Note number or Control Change number can be assigned
to a single Trigger Pad. If you transmit Note messages or Control Change messages from a
trigger pad, all of the messages will be transmitted at the velocity or On Value/Off Value.
•MIDI Channel: This specifies the MIDI channel of the MIDI messages that are
transmitted when you strike the Trigger Pad. If you set this to Global MIDI Channel,
the messages will be transmitted on the Global MIDI channel. The possible values
are 1-16 and Global MIDI Channel.
•Assign Type: This specifies the type of message that will be assigned to the Trigger
Pad. You can disable the pad (No Assign), or assign a Note message or a Control
Change message. The possible values are No Assign, Note, or Control Change.
•Pad Behavior: You can choose one of two types of behavior for each Trigger Pad,
Momentary or Toggle. If set to Momentary, the Note On or On Value will be
transmitted when you press the Pad and the Note Off or Off Value will be
transmitted when it is released. If set to Toggle, the Note On or On Value will be
transmitted the first time you press the Pad and the Note Off or Off Value will be
transmitted the next time you press the Pad.
•Note Number: This specifies the number of the Note message that is transmitted.
The possible values are C1 ~ G9 and No Assign.
•CC Number: This specifies the number of the Control Change message that is
transmitted. The possible values are 0 ~ 127 and No Assign.
•On Value: This specifies the value of the message that is transmitted when the
Trigger Pad turns on. The range of values is 0 ~ 127.

9
•Off Value: This specifies the value of the message that is transmitted when the
Trigger Pad turns off. The range of values is 0 ~ 127. You can set this only if the
Assign Type is set to Control Change.
Assignable Buttons
These buttons transmit Control Change messages. You can choose whether the button will
be enabled, the type of button operation, the control change number, and the values that
will be transmitted when the button is pressed. These MIDI messages are transmitted on
the Global MIDI Channel.
•Assign Type: This specifies the type of message that will be assigned to the button.
You can disable the button (No Assign), or assign a Note message or a Control
Change message. The possible values are No Assign, Note, and Control Change.
•Button Behavior: You can choose one of two types of behavior for the Button,
Momentary or Toggle. If set to Momentary, the Note On or On Value will be
transmitted when you press the Button and the Note Off or Off Value will be
transmitted when it is released. If set to Toggle, the Note On or On Value will be
transmitted the first time you press the Button and the Note Off or Off Value will be
transmitted the next time you press it.
•Note Number: This specifies the number of the Note message that is transmitted.
The range of values is C1 ~ G9.
•CC Number: This specifies the number of the Control Change message that is
transmitted. The range of values is 0 ~ 127.
•On Value: This specifies the On Value of the Control Change message or Note
message. The range of values is 0 ~ 127.
•Off Value: This specifies the Off Value of the Control Change message. You can set
this only if the Assign Type is Control Change. The range of values is 0 ~ 127.

10
Transport (MMC) Buttons
Operating the Transport/MMC Buttons will transmit either Control Change messages or
MMC messages, depending on the Assign Type. For each of these six buttons, you can
specify the message that is assigned, the way in which the button will operate when
pressed, the control change number, or an MMC command.
•Assign Type: This specifies the type of message assigned to the transport button.
You can specify that the button be disabled (No Assign), or assign a Control Change
message or MMC message. The possible options are No Assign, Control Change, and
MMC.
•Button Behavior: You can choose one of two types of behavior for the MMC
Button, Momentary or Toggle. If set to Momentary, a Control Change message with
a value of 127 will be transmitted when you press the Button and a Control Change
message with a value of 0will be transmitted when it is released. If set to Toggle, a
Control Change message with a value of 127 will be transmitted the first time you
press the Button and a Control Change message with a value of 0will be
transmitted the next time it is pressed. This can only be changed if the Assign Type
is set to MMC.
•CC Number: This specifies the number of the Control Change message that is
transmitted. The range of values is 0 ~ 127.
•MMC Command: This specifies one of thirteen different MMC commands to send
when the button is pressed. The possible options are Stop, Play, Deferred Play, Fast
Forward, Rewind, Record Strobe, Record Exit, Record Pause, Pause, Eject, Chase,
Command Error Reset, and MMC Reset.
•MMC Device ID: This specifies the device ID of the MMC message. Normally you will
specify 127. If the device ID is 127, all devices will receive the MMC message.
