CERAMIC PLATE
The ThermoCeramic hairdryer creates far infra-
red heat (ie at the far end of the infra-red
spectrum) which is generated as the airflow
passes around the ceramic plate.
Infra-red heats objects
directly rather than
heating the air around
the object - therefore it
heats the hair from the
inside out.
This is more efficient using less airflow and heat
to achieve the same effect, and more healthy for
your hair as it isn’t exposed to high temperatures
for long periods of time.

When using your hairdryer, basic safety precautions
should always be followed. Please read these
instructions carefully before using the product, and keep
them in a safe place for future reference.

1Use this appliance for its intended use only.

2To protect against the risk of electric shock, do
not immerse the appliance in water or in any
other liquids.

3Check the voltage on the rating plate of the
hairdryer corresponds with your house
electricity supply which must be AC (alternating
current).
nn
4Always unplug the appliance when it is not in
use.
nn
5Do not leave the hairdryer switched on whilst
unattended.
nn
6Do not take this product into a bathroom or use
near water.
nn
7In the event of cable damage, do not attempt to
replace the mains cable – return to Morphy
Richards.
nn
8It is recommended that the product should not
be used by children.
nn
9Do not place on surfaces that are likely to be
damaged by heat.
nn
10 Ensure the filter is cleaned regularly.
WIRING:`
This product is fitted with a 13A (BS1363) plug. A 13
amp fuse (BS1362) must be used. Check the voltage on
the rating plate of your appliance corresponds with your
house electricity supply which must be AC (Alternating
current). If the socket outlets in your home are not
suitable for the plug supplied with this appliance the
plug should be removed and an appropriate one fitted.
IMPORTANT: THE PLUG REMOVED FROM THE MAINS
LEAD, IF SEVERED MUST BE DESTROYED AS A PLUG
WITH BARED FLEXIBLE CORD IS HAZARDOUS IF
ENGAGED INTO A LIVE SOCKET OUTLET.
MAINS LEAD:
As a safety precaution and to prolong the life of your
appliance, do not wrap the mains lead around the
appliance as this will cause damage.
HOW TO USE YOUR:
HAIRDRYER:

1Having shampooed your hair, ensure that it is
rinsed thoroughly as shampoo that is left in the
hair will leave it looking dull.

2Comb your hair through with a wide tooth comb
to remove tangles before styling.
nn
3Ensure the concentrator nozzle is detached.
nn
4Slide the on/off switch to position I switch the
hairdryer on.
nn
5Use the unique heat/speed dial to change the
dryer to a faster, hotter setting to remove excess
water from your hair.
nn
6As your hair begins to dry, switch off the hair
dryer and clip on the concentrator nozzle to
begin styling your hair. If you are blow drying
curly hair into a straight style, use the
concentrator to direct air down into the shaft of
the hair.

7As you begin to style your hair during drying,
use the heat/speed dial to select a slower/cooler
setting.
nn
8When your hair is dry, and you have achieved
the desired style, press and hold the cool shot
button. This will release a burst of cold air which
will set your style in place.

9Always remember to switch the on/off button to
the 0 position, to turn tour hairdryer off.

CLEANING THE FILTER
Cleaning the air filter regularly will ensure that only
clean air is used to dry your hair and that the dryer
will not overheat and cut out. To remove the air
filter, ensure the hair dryer is unplugged from the
mains supply and hold the body of the dryer firmly
while twisting the cover to release the filter. Take out
the filter to clean away hair and lint using a vacuum
cleaner. Ensure the filter is completely dry before
refitting. To re-fit, locate the air filter into the filter
cover and click the cover back into place.
2-YEAR GUARANTEE:
It is in your interest to retain the retailers receipt as
proof of purchase. Please quote the model number if
the product develops a fault. This number can be
found on the handle of the product.
All Morphy Richards products are individually tested
before leaving the factory. In the unlikely event of
any appliance proving to be faulty within 28 days of
purchase it should be returned to the place of
purchase for it to be replaced.
If a fault develops after 28 days and within 24
months of original purchase, you should contact the
helpline number quoting the model number of the
product, or write to the address below. You will be
asked to return the product (in secure packaging) to
the address below along with a copy of proof of
purchase:
