If your cleaner is not picking up as well as it should, please check
Filters
It is important that the filters are cleaned regularly to allow air through the
appliance. Shake to remove dust, the filter can also be washed in warm
water and left to air dry.
IMPORTANT - Ensure filter is totally dry before refitting into the machine.
Blockages
Check the tools and hose for blockages.
Eco Switch
If suction is low and the product has been emptied, the filters cleaned
and the product checked for blockages, check that the Eco Switch dial
is set to maximum.

OPERATING THE APPLIANCE
ASSEMBLY
Your vacuum cleaner has an efficient suction
action to provide high levels of cleaning on all
types of surface around the home.
Switch off before fitting or removing
accessories.
Insert the flexible hose
Insert the flexible hose Áin the hose inlet
duct ·on the front of the product, press
until it clicks into position A.
To remove the flexible hose
Press the hose release button ‚ to release
the flexible hose. Pull the hose firmly from the
hose inlet duct.
Fitting the extension tubes
and accessories
Join the two extension tubes Ïtogether and
attach the extension tubes to the handle end
Êof the hose. Some tasks may be easier
with only one extension tube fitted.
Attach the combination floor nozzle Óto the
extension tubes.
ACCESSORIES
Combination floor nozzle
The combination floor nozzle can be adjusted
to suit different floor surfaces. Adjust the
brush height adjustment lever Ì on the
combination floor nozzle to retract the
brushes for use on carpet. The brushes
should be down for use on hardfloors or
damage may occur.
Other accessories include:
• Crevice tool Èfor awkward places, corners
and behind radiators etc.
• Brush tool Ëfor pelmets, delicate objects
etc.
• Upholstery nozzle Ífor sofas, armchairs
etc.
• Tools can be stored on the tool storage clip
Îthat fits onto the extension tubes.
Turbo nozzle Ô
(certain models only)
• This nozzle is ideal for picking up pet hairs
from upholstery or stairs.
Cleaning the turbo nozzle
(certain models only)
The turbo nozzle should be regularly cleaned
and any hairs or fibres wrapped around the
brush bar removed to maintain optimum
performance.
To aid cleaning, the small turbo nozzle can be
opened up by pushing the button on the
nozzle forwards.
CONTROLS
On/off control
Press the power on/off button ‹ to start the
machine, press again to turn off.
Eco Switch
The Eco Switch ¤ allows you to turn down
the power when cleaning more delicate items
such as curtains and upholstery, saving
energy and reducing running costs.
Suction control on the handle
The suction power can be adjusted using the
airflow control on the handle ÊB.
Closed : full suction
Open : low suction

After vacuuming
1Switch off the vacuum cleaner.
2Unplug from the mains.
3Use a hand or foot to operate the cable
rewind button fi.
WARNING: When using the cable rewind,
always hold the plug as the cable will
rewind quickly.
EMPTYING THE DUST
CANISTER
1Disconnect the cleaner from the mains
socket.
2Disconnect the hose from the hose inlet duct.
3Remove the dust canister ‡by pushing the
dust canister release latch ⁄C.
4Remove the filter basket and empty the dust
canister into a waste bin D.
If the dust is tightly packed, tap the front
cover. Shake the filter basket into the waste
bin, this will remove most of the dust.
Cleaning the filter basket
To maintain the suction of the cleaner, the
filter basket must be washed regularly (in
warm water only, no detergent).
Allow the filter basket to air dry naturally.
IMPORTANT: Both parts MUST BE
THOROUGHLY DRY before the assembly is
re-fitted to the cleaner.
Reassembling the filter basket
Replace the filter basket, ensuring that the
seal is good E.
Then replace the dust canister onto the main
body F.
STORAGE POSITION
The vacuum cleaner can be stored in an
upright position. Slide the storage hook „
into the slot on the base of the product Â
and the tubes, hose and floor nozzle are held
securely G.

CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE
Unplug from the mains before cleaning. The
vacuum cleaner, especially the dust
compartment and all accessories, can be
cleaned using a damp cloth or a
non-abrasive domestic cleaner and wiped
dry.
To keep the underside of the combination
floor nozzle clean, vacuum it at regular
intervals using the crevice tool.
FILTERS
Changing and cleaning the
motor protection filter
This cleaner is fitted with a motor protection
filter. NEVER USE THE VACUUM CLEANER
WITHOUT THIS IN PLACE.
We recommend this filter is replaced every
12 months or sooner if required.
The filter may also be rinsed in lukewarm
water but must be allowed to dry completely:
1Remove the filter from the filter grille H.
2Rinse the filter in lukewarm water and dry the
filter completely.
3Put the filter back into the filter grille and
reassemble.
Changing and cleaning the
exhaust filter
This cleaner is fitted with an exhaust filter.
NEVER USE THE VACUUM CLEANER
WITHOUT THIS IN PLACE.
We recommend this filter is replaced every
12 months or sooner if required.
The filter may also be rinsed in lukewarm
water but must be allowed to dry completely.
Remove the exhaust filter cover ‰by pulling
the locking tabs towards you I.
Remove the used filter. Insert the clean micro
exhaust filter and replace the filter cover.
IMPORTANT:
• All filters should be checked regularly for
signs of damage, preferably after each
cleaning task. The filters must be replaced
immediately if they become damaged.
• Always disconnect the cleaner from the
mains when checking filters.
• Always make sure all filters are fitted before
use. Failure to do so may result in damage to
your product.
• If the sound of the cleaner changes slightly,
clean the filters and check for blockages.
