MT-5000 hasbeendevelopedusingBluetoothwireless technologyandiscapableofconnecting
withBluetoothdevicesdesignedwithAudioGatewayand PDAs,Desktopandnotebook
computerscanbeconnectedandpairedwiththeHeadsetusingaUSBBluetoothDongle.Before
usingtheHeadsetpleaseverifyyourBluetoothdevice (PS3, phone,PDA)complieswith
Bluetooth V1.1/V1.2/V2.0/2.1 andsupportstheBluetooth HeadsetorHandsfreeprofile.

4. Charging theHeadset
The MT-5000 comeswithabuilt inLithiumPolymerbattery. Tochargetheunit:
a. Plugthetravelchargerintoanelectricaloutletorplug thecarchargerintocigarlighter..
b. Plugtheunit endoftheTravelChargerorcarchargerintothePowerInterface Adapter
ontheHeadset.
c. Whilecharging,theLEDIndicatorLightwill turnred.Whencharging iscomplete,the
redIndicatorlightwillshutofforflashbluetoalertyouthattheunit isfully charged and
ready touse.
NOTE:
·Forfirsttimeuse,makesuretofullychargetheHeadsetatleast3HOURS,preferably
overnight(8-10 hours).
·If Headsethasnotbeenusedformorethan21 days,whenrechargingit pleasechargeunitat
least3hours,preferablyovernight(8-10 hours)asthebatterywill needafull chargeandbeaware
theLEDIndicatorLightmaytakeseveralhourstoshowrechargingiscomplete.
·Whilechargingtheunit,pleasedonotusetheHeadset.
·PleaseusetheoriginalchargerincludedwiththeHeadsettocharge/rechargetheunit.
·WhentheLEDIndicatorLightflashesredduring usageorwhileonstandby, thebatteryislow
and youshouldrechargetheunit assoonaspossible.
·PleaserechargetheHeadsetinroomtemperaturesofnoless than+14 F(-10℃)to+113 F
(+45℃).

5. PowerOn/Off
a.PushtheON/OFF buttontoON side.Thepowerwill turnon aftertheLEDIndicatorLight
flashesthebluelight3 times.
b. PushtheON/OFF buttontoOFFside.Thepowerwill turn off aftertheLEDIndicatorLight
flashesthebluelight1 time.
NOTE:
·WhiletheHeadsetisturnedon,it will automaticallysearchforthepaireddevice.Underthe
“ON”modeandwithintheeffectiverangeof30 feetfromtheHeadset,theIndicatorwill flashthe
bluelighttoindicatethatit enteredtheconnecting mode.
6. Pairing theHeadsetwitha BluetoothDevice
Beforeyou usetheHeadsetthefirsttime,youmustpairtheunit withaBluetoothdevice i.e.
cellularphone. Tosetupthepairing:
a. InsureyourmobilephoneisBluetoothcapable
b. MakesuretheHeadsetisturnedoff.
c. PushtheON/OFF buttontoON side.
d. Press and holdtheFunctionbuttonfor5secondsuntil theIndicatorLightflashes
alternating “Red –Blue –Red –Blue”toenterthepairing mode.
e. OnyourmobiledevicestarttheBluetoothsearchfunction.Refertothemobiledevice
manufacturer’sinstructionsregardingpairing thedevice tothe MT-5000 Bluetooth
Headset.
f. Whenyourmobiledevice isinthestageofsearchingforanewBluetoothdevice,it should
locateandpairwiththe MT-5000.
g. Onyourmobiledevice,pleasechooseandconfirmthe MT-5000 asyourBluetoothpaired
device.
h. KeyintheHeadsetPasscode “0000”and press “YES”.Ifthepairingissuccessful,the
IndicatorlightontheHeadsetwill flashthebluelightonly.Forsomemobilephones,after
pairingyoumayhavetoselectandreconfirm MT-5000 PAIRING EACHTIMEYOU
TURNON THEPHONE.Pleasereadyouphonemanufacturer’sinstructionsregarding
Bluetoothdevices.
i. TheHeadsetshouldnowbeinstandbymod –ready tosendandreceivecalls.
NOTE:
If thepairingisnotsuccessfulthefirsttime,theHeadsetwill returntostandby mode.Please
repeatthepairingprocess andrefertothemobiledevice’smanufacturer’sinstructionsfor
additionalinformation.
a. Whilepairing,it isbettertokeepthedistance betweenthemobiledeviceandtheHeadset
toapproximately3 inchesto1 footandmakesurenometalobjectsarebetweenthem.
b. WhilepairingtheHeadsetwithotherBluetoothdevices,whenthedevice asksforthe
Passcode,keyin “0000”theHeadsetPasscode.Formoredetails,refertothemobile
device’smanufacturer’sinstructionsforad MT-5000 additionalinformation.

c. Shouldoneofthefollowingoccur, thepaireddevicesshouldremainpaired:
1. Thepowerfororofthedevicesisoff.
2. Theserviceoroneofthedevicesisoff.
3. Oneofthedevicesisre-switchedon.
7. Pairing to 2 devices
Thisheadsetcontainsadual-linkfunctionforconnectingwith2 mobilephonessimultaneously.
a. Pairthefirstphonefollowing thestepsabove.
b. Turnoff theheadset
c.Turnontheheadsetandpushthefunctionbuttonfor5secondsuntil theIndicatorLightflashes
alternating “Red –Blue –Red –Blue”toenterthepairing mode
d. Turnonthesecondphone’sBluetoothtopairwithheadsetlikestepsabove
e. Turnofftheheadset
f. Turnontheheadset, anditwillre-connecttobothdevicesautomatically.
8. Wearing theHeadset
Accordingtoyourpreference, adjusttheheadseton yourleftorrightear.
9. Answering Calls
a. Whenacall isreceived, wait untilyouheartheringingfromyourHeadsetreceivertopress
theFunctionbuttontoanswerthecall.
b. If themobiledevice isringing first,wait until theHeadsetisringing,thenpressthe
Functionbutton.
c. Beforeansweringcalls, theblueIndicatorlightflashes4 timeseachsecond.
d.If themobiledeviceisringingandyourHeadsetisoff,turntheHeadsetonfirst,thenpress
theFunctionbuttontoanswerthecall.
e.If yourmobiledevice has “automaticanswer”featureandit alreadysetuptoanswerusing
thisfunction,whilethecall iscomingin,yourHeadsetcanreceivethecall automaticallywithout
pressingtheFunctionbutton.

·Forsomemobilephones,theringingsound oftheHeadsetmaybethesameastheringing
soundofthephonei.e. Nokia.

10. Refusing Calls
Torefuseacall,wait tohearfromourreceiver,andthenpress theVOL+2twicequicklyto
refusethecall.Ifyouhavethemobiledevice settoautomaticallyanswercalls,refusingcall as
describedherewill notapply.
11. Ending Calls
a.Whenthecall iscomplete,press theFunctionbuttontoendthecall.
b. You canalsowait until yourcallerhangsupandthecall will bedisconnectedautomatically.
12. Voice Dialing
a.If yourmobilephonesupportsVoiceDialing,youcanusethisFunctionwithyourHeadset
also.
b. Underthestandbyorconnectingmode,press theFunctionbutton onceontheHeadsetand
followthemobiledevices’manufacturer’sinstructionstoproceedwithVoice Dialing.
NOTE:
·TheactivationofVoiceDialingwill dependonthedesignofyourmobiledevice.
·TheworkingrangeoftheBluetoothHeadsetisapproximately15 feetindoorsand15 -30 feet
outdoors.
13. Redialing
a.If yourmobiledevicesupportstheRedialingfeature,youcanalsousethisfunctionwith
yourHeadset.
b. UndertheStandbyorConnectingmode,doubleclickthefunction button oftheHeadsetto
redialthelastcall.
14. Mute
a.Duringaphoneconversation,press theDecreaseVolumeKey(-) and IncreaseVolumeKey
(+)atthesametimeuntil youhearthe “Du”soundtobegintheMutefunctionoftheHeadset.
b. WhileinMutemode,youwill hearanintermittent “Du”sound
c. TocanceltheMutemode,press eitherDecreaseVolumeKey(-) ortheIncreaseVolumeKey
(+)toendthisfunction.
15. Transferring Calls
a.Transferacall fromtheheadsettothemobiledevice.Whileacall isinprogress,press the
IncreaseVolumeKey(+)for2-3 secondsuntil youhearone “Du”sound.
b. Transferacall fromthemobiledevicetotheheadset.Whileacall isinprogress,press the
functionbuttononce.

16. Adjusting theVolume
Duringacall, youmayadjusttheHeadset’svolume.
a. Toincreasethevolume,press theIncreaseVolumeKey(+).
b. Todecreasethevolume,press theDecreaseVolumeKey(-).
NOTE:
You will hearthe “DuDu”soundwhileadjustingthevolumetothehighestandlowest
settings.
17. Safety Instructions
a.ReadthisHeadsetmanualcarefullyandusetheHeadsetcorrectlyatall timesbyfollowing
theinstructions.
b. THISISNOTATOY. Keep theHeadsetawayfromchildrenand avoidchildren chewingon
theHeadsetoritscomponentsoraccidentallyswallowing any pieces.
c.TocleantheHeadset,wipeitwithasoft,drystatic-free cleaningcloth.
d. NEVERusecleaningliquids, solvents,orspraystocleantheHeadset.
e. DonotcleantheHeadsetwhilecharging.

20. Diagnosing Problems
a.If theHeadsetLEDIndicatorLightisflashing red-thebatteryislowandrechargestheunit
immediately.
b. If,afterrechargingfor20 minutes,theHeadsetdoesnotturnon:Forinitialuse,thepower
will beon afterchargingtheHeadsetatleast40 minutes.Themanufacturer’srecommendedinitial
chargingtimeisnoless than3 hours, preferablyovernight(8-10hours).
c.If theHeadsetdoesnotshowtherechargingsign:Thebatteryiscompleteddepletedorthe
Headsethasnotbeenusedfor21 days,whenchargingtheredIndicatorLightwill belit aftera
fewminutes.
d.Youhearnosound comingfromtheHeadset:
★MakesuretheHeadsetisturnedon.
★MakesuretheheadsethasbeenpairedwithaBluetoothenableddevice.
★Makesurethedistance betweentheHeadsetAND THEPAIREDBluetoothdeviceisno
morethan30 feet.
★SomeBluetoothmobilephonessupportonlyoneHeadset.Inthiscase,ifyoupairthe
MT-5000 Headsetwiththedevice,theotherBluetoothHeadsetsmaybedeactivated.Likewise,if
youpairotherBluetoothheadsetswiththistypeofmobiledevice,the MT-5000 Headsetmay
becomedeactivated.
21. HeadsetStorage
﹥Useofaccessoriesotherthanthemanufacturer’soriginallysuppliedaccessoriesmaycause
theHeadsettomalfunctionorfail.Inaddition,productdamage,electricalconflictswith
non-manufacturerchargersmayoccurresultinginthecancellationoftheproductwarranty.
﹥Donotdisassembletheheadsetforanyreason.ThismaydamagetheHeadsetaccidentally
and voidthemanufacturer’swarranty.
