SAFETY AND OPERATING INFORMATION
The Home Wizard is an ener y efficient, state of the art auto-
mation system, powerin down your steam enerator after
10 minutes if you are delayed.
• Set the steambathing temperature accor ing to personal preference, however it is
highly recommen e to begin steambathing at a low temperature setting to
gauge comfort an safety levels. Set the uration at 10 minutes max. To gauge
comfort an safety levels. This will allow the steam generator to heat up an
begin pro ucing steam.
• Do not install or use any iTempo™, iSteam®or Home Wizar ™controls without
rea ing an un erstan ing the Mr.Steam steam generator Installation an Opera-
tion Manual (part number 101289 Revision number 10.0/08 or higher). Failure to
rea an un erstan these instructions may result in an inoperative or hazar ous
installation.

tion an Operation Manual. Mr.Steam strongly recommen s that this warning be
rea an poste in a conspicuous location near the steam room.
• Install an use the iTempo™, iSteam®controls accor ing to instructions. Failure to
install an use accor ing to instructions will result in an inoperative control or haz-
ar ous overheating or ina equate heating of the steam room.
• A Home Wizar use in close proximity to multiple generators, may ina vertently
turn them on. Please rea the paragraph on pairing in this manual if more than
one Home Wizar is use in close proximity.

steam room oor open uring steam generator operation may result in property

inoperative or hazar ous installation.
• Do not alter or mo ify any iTempo, iSteam or Home Wizar controls. Doing so

iTempo or iSteam controls. Doing so may result in an inoperative installation.

HOME WIZARD INTERFACE
MODULE INSTALLATION
• Installation of the Home Wizar Genie shoul be performe by a certi-
fie Home Automation Integrator in accor ance with applicable National
an local electrical co es.
• Connect the Home Wizar Interface Mo ule to the generator by plug-
ging in the provi e 5 foot cable to the Home Wizar Interface Mo ule
an the Home Wizar connector on the si e of the generator as shown.
• Mount the Home Wizar Interface Mo ule in a ry, in oor location. For
maximum range, the Home Wizar Interface Mo ule shoul be mounte
as high as practical an away from metal that coul effect the ra io sig-
nal. Securing it to a nearby woo stu is i eal. The antenna shoul be
pointing upwar s.
• 2 wire pairs (not supplie ) must be provi e to connect the Home
Automation system an the Home Wizar .
• Using the supplie connector, connect the signal wires an fee back
wires from the Home Automation system to the Home Wizar .
The signal from the Home Automation system must be a
momentary contact closure to turn the Steam Generator ON or OFF.
A sustaine contact closure or voltage will amage the Home Wizar .
• The fee back from the Home Wizar is a sustaine contact closure
when the steam generator is ON an an open circuit when the steam
generator is OFF.
The maximum voltage for the
fee back circuit is 2A at 12 VDC
• With the generator powere , the re light (steam off) or green light
(steam on) shoul come on when plugge in. Press the TOGGLE
STEAM button to confirm proper connection.
• Press the ON/OFF button an confirm that the Home Wizar lights
match the state of the steam generator. Re for STEAM OFF (eTempo
control is off) an green for STEAM ON (eTempo control is on).
• The yellow RF activity light on the Home Wizar Interface Mo ule shoul
flash each time the button on the Home Wizar FOB is presse .
• Test the range of the Home Wizar FOB. It may be necessary to change
the location of the Home Wizar Interface Mo ule to improve the
range. Contact Mr.Steam technical service for an optional 60 ft. cable,
PN 103978-60.
HOME WIZARD OPERATION
WITH A HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEM:
• The Steam Generator will turn on when a signal is
receive from the Home Automation system.
•
The steam generator will run for a maximum of 10 minutes
when turne on using the Home Automation system.
To continue
for longer than 10 minutes, simply turn the generator off then back
on using the eTempo Control or the Home Wizar FOB.
WITH HOME WIZARD FOB:
•When the Home Wizar FOB light is off, press the button once an
the Home Wizar FOB light in icates if the steam is on or off.
When you press the button, the light will momentarily twinkle be-
tween re an green. A re light in icates that the steam is off an
a green light in icates that the steam is on. If you are out of range,
the lights will twinkle for about 5 secon s an then shut off.
• To turn the steam on or off, press the ON/OFF button again while
the light is illuminate . After a short elay the light will change
from re to green (steam on) or green to re (steam off).
• The light will stay illuminate for 10 secon s an then shut off.
• A blinking re light in icates that an error con ition
exists in the steam generator. An error co e will be
isplaye on your eTempo or eTempo/Plus control.
Contact the Mr.Steam Technical Service Department
at 800-76-STEAM (East coast) or 800-72-STEAM (West coast) for
assistance or a itional information.
The Home Wizar FOB may be use in the steam
room. Do not submerge the Home Wizar FOB in water. Doing so
may result in an inoperative or hazar ous installation.

HOME WIZARD INTERFACE MODULE:
• The Home Wizar Interface Mo ule is connecte to an mounte near
your steam generator an normally oes not require any attention.
• The 4 lights on the Home Wizar Interface Mo ule in icate
the status of the steam generator that it is connecte to. At
least one light will be on to show you that the Home Wizar
Interface Mo ule is operating.
• If the re light is on, the steam cycle is off. If the green light is
on, the steam cycle is on.
• If the re light is blinking there is an error con ition in the
steam generator. An error co e will be isplaye on your
iTempo or iSteam control. Contact the Mr.Steam Technical
Service Dept. at 800-76-STEAM (East coast) or 800-72-
STEAM (West coast) for assistance or a itional information.
• The yellow light flashes to in icate when the ON/OFF
button on the Home Wizar FOB is presse .
• The blue light is on to in icate that you are in pairing mo e.
• While in pairing mo e, the green light will continuously
flash the Home Wizar Interface Mo ule a ress (1-8).
• You can turn the generator on an off by pressing either
button on the Home Wizar Iinterface Mo ule (while not in
pairing mo e).

PAIRING
• The Home Wizar FOB an Home Wizar Interface
Mo ule come paire from the factory with a ress 1.
The Home Wizar FOB an Home Wizar Interface
Mo ule can be set to one of eight ifferent a resses.
•
Pairing is require if you have more than one steam gen-
erator in your home or if you experience interference
from a neighbor’s steam generator.
• You can etermine the pairing of an Home Wizar FOB
an Home Wizar Interface Mo ule by pressing an
hol ing the ON/OFF button for 2 secon s. If you are
within range of the Home Wizar Interface Mo ule, the
green light will flash from 1 to 8 times epen ing on the
a ress. To change the a ress of the Home Wizar In-
terface Mo ule, you must enter pairing mo e.
• To enter pairing mo e, press an hol the TOGGLE-
STEAM button on the Home Wizar Interface Mo ule

GENIE BATTERY REPLACEMENT:
Your iGenie is equippe with a factory installe battery.
A replacement isk battery #CR2032 is available at most stores.
TO REPLACE THE BATTERY:
1. Using a flathea screw river or coin, turn the
battery oor ¼ clockwise.
2. Remove the battery oor.
3. Sli e out the ol battery.
4. Sli e in a new battery making sure that the + si e is
facing outwar s (away from the circuit boar ).
5. Replace the battery oor an using a flathea screw river
or coin turn it ¼ counterclockwise to close it.
6. Test the iGenie
NOTE: The iGenie FOB will remember its a ress
when the battery is remove
CAUTION
!
for 2 secon s until the blue in icator light comes on. The
green in icator light will start flashing the current a ress
every 4 secon s. Count from 1 to 8 flashes. To change the
Home Wizar Interface Mo ule a ress press the ADJUST-
ADDRESS button. Observe that the flash increments from 1
to 8 an then back to 1 each time you press it.
• To change the a ress of the Home Wizar FOB, to match
the a ress of the Home Wizar Interface Mo ule press
an hol the ON/OFF button while the Home Wizar Inter-
face Mo ule is in pairing mo e. You will see the new flash
count on the Home Wizar FOB.
• To exit pairing mo e, press the TOGGLE-STEAM button on
the Home Wizar Interface Mo ule an observe that the
blue light turns off. Pairing mo e will automatically exit
after 60 secon s.
NOTE: The Home Wizar FOB an Home Wizar Interface
Mo ule a ress are maintaine even when power is remove .

INSTALLING THE iGENIE™WALL MOUNT
A wall mounting magnet is provi e with the
iGenie Control as an optional convenience.
Secure the magnet mount to a wall so the iGenie
is oriente as shown. Use the ouble si e
a hesive to secure the magnet mount to the wall
as shown an simply place the iGenie FOB onto
the magnet mount with the battery oor facing
the wall to mount it

TROUBLESHOOTING
NOTE: The iGenie FOB will not operate the generator
without an iTempo, iTempo/Plus or iSteam control

Is the light twinkling on the iGenie FOB when the button is
presse ?
If not, replace the batteries in the iGenie FOB.
If the light still oes not twinkle, contact technical service.

Are you within range of the IGENIE MODULE?
Go closer to the steam generator an see if that works. If the range
has iminishe then the iGenie FOB battery may be getting weak.

Go to the iGenie Mo ule.
Are any of the iGenie Mo ule in icator lights on?
If not check the connection to the steam generator. Unplug an re-
plug the iGenie Mo ule from the steam generator.
Verify the steam generator is receiving the correct voltage.

Press the TOGGLE STEAM button on the IGENIE MODULE an
verify that it can control the steam generator. If no lights are on or
you cannot manually control the steam generator, contact technical
service.

Press the ON/OFF button on the iGenie FOB. While the iGenie
FOB is twinkling, o you see the yellow RF activity light flashing on
the IGENIE MODULE?
If yes, then the a ress of the iGenie FOB an the IGENIE MOD-
ULE may not match. Enter pairing mo e by pressing the TOGGLE
STEAM button on the iGenie Mo ule until the blue light comes on.
While the blue light on the iGenie Mo ule is on, press an hol
the ON/OFF button for 2 secon until the LED flashes.
Exit pairing mo e an test the iGenie FOB.
