1. GETTING STARTED
1.1.Connecting the device
−Take the mr Safe outdoor IP camera out of the box. Attach the wifi antenna and the bracket.
−Mount the bracket to a wall and connect the cables in a waterproof box.
−Plug the (non-waterproof) adapter into a wall socket.
−Connect a network cable to the camera (RJ45 port). Connect the other end of the cable into
your router. If no internet cable is available at the desired location, you can configure the
camera close to your modem.
1.2.Software installation:
Go to the App Store, search for ”mrSafe” in the “only for iPhone” category and download the App.
OR
Go to iTunes and search for “mrSafe” and download the App.
2. TERMINOLOGY
LAN: Local Area Network:Your home network, which includes your internet modem and all the
equipment in the house that is connected to the network via cable or Wi-Fi.
WAN:Wide Area Network:The internet, if you have an Internet connection at home or anywhere
else.
Resolution: The quality and sharpness of the images. The resolution is expressed in pixels horizontal
x vertical. The higher the resolution the better the image quality of the IP camera.
Bitrate: The number of bits (transmission of information) that can be sent or received per unit of
time via a network connection. A bit is the smallest amount of information. The higher the bitrate,
the more information per unit of time will be send or received.
Framerate: The number of frames per second being imaged.

3. WIFI SETTINGS
1. Install the App on your Apple device.
2. Start the App after installation.
3. Connect your Apple device via Wi-Fi to the same network as the camera.
In the App, go to “LAN” (bottom). You will now see the camera.

Click on the symbol next to the camera icon and select "Wireless Settings".
Click on “SSID” to display the available networks. Select your network and enter your password.
After confirmation, the IP camera will restart (this will take about 2 minutes), and you can remove
the network cable. You can now place the IP camera wherever you want, within the range of your
router.

4. LAN CAMERA
All the cameras that are online in your local network (LAN) will be displayed in the LAN list.
4.1. LAN Camera browsing:
Go to the LAN list and click on the camera you want to see. The program is now going to make
contact with your IP camera. This can take a few seconds.
When the image appears, the camera is ready to operate. If the image is not completely clear /sharp,
you can turn the lens focusing ring till the image appears sharp. If you want to control the camera
you can press the buttons of the control panel. (For more information go to chapter “6.1 Control
Panel”).

4.2. LAN Camera settings:
You can change the settings of each camera by right clicking on the symbol next to the camera
icon.
4.2.1. Setting options:
4.2.1.1. Wired Settings
You can change the IP address of your camera individually.
You can choose for DHCP if you want to use an automatic reassigned IP address.

If you want to use the same IP address every time, you deselect “DHCP”. Put in the IP address
manually by clicking in de “IP address” box. Press “Done” to save changes.
4.2.1.2. Wireless Settings
Only use these settings for setup of the Wi-Fi connection! See chapter “3. WIFI SETTINGS”.

4.2.1.3. Video Settings
In the video settings menu you can change following settings:
Quality: To change the quality of the images from the camera you can choose between
oCustom: With the option “custom” you can change the resolution, bitrate and
framerate yourself.
oExcellent: the IP camera will have a resolution of 640X480, a bitrate of 200 and a
framerate of 15 FPS.
oBetter: the IP camera will have a resolution of 640x480, a bitrate of 150 and a
framerate of 12 FPS.
oGood: the IP camera will have a resolution of 640x480, a bitrate of 100 and a
framerate of 10 FPS.
oNormal: the IP camera will have a resolution of 640x480, a bitrate of 64 and a
framerate of 8 FPS.
oLow: the IP camera will have a resolution of 320x240, a bitrate of 64 and a framerate
of 6 FPS.
Press “Done” to confirm your choise. Press “done” again to save the settings.
NOTE: For more informtion about resolution, bitrate and framerate see “terminology”. The best
quality you can have is “custom”, a resolution of 720P 1280x720, a bitrate of 2000 and a framerate of
30 FPS. Know that this requires a high internet connection and that your provider can charge you
with high costs if you work through you mobile network.
Resolution: you can change the resolution of the images according to your own needs. For
more information about resolution see “terminology”.
Bitrate: you can change the bitrate only in “custom” mode. For more information about
bitrate see “terminology”.
Framerate: you can change the amount of frames according to your own needs. For more
information about resolution see “terminology”.
Brightness: to change the brightness of the IP camera you can put in the range you want.
Saturation: to change the saturation of the IP camera you can put in the range you want.

Contrast: to change the contrast of the IP camera you can put in the range you want.
Sharpness: to change the sharpness of the IP camera you can put in the range you want.
4.2.1.4. Micro SD Card settings
Please make sure that the micro SD card is inserted in your IP camera.
1. Power off the IP Camera.
2. Open the IP camera by removing the 4 screws.
3. Carefully take off the backside.
4. Insert the micro SD card.
5. Power ON the IP Camera.
NOTE: The SD card should be a Class 10 SD card with a maximum capacity of 32 GB!
Motion detection record: the camera will record when motion detect is activated. See also
chapter “4.2.1.6 Alarm settings” to activate motion detect.
IO Record (Input-Output Record): connect an external device to the camera through the
terminal connection. For example: you can connect a doorbell to the camera. The camera
will automatically record the images when someone presses the doorbell.
Continuous record: the camera will record constantly, also when there is no movement in
front of the camera.
Cycling records automatically: when the memory card is almost full, the oldest files will be
deleted and the newest files will be added.
Record Audio: the camera will automatically record all audio.
Split size (MB): you can choose the size of every recorded file.

4.2.1.5. Micro SD Card Query
You can view all the images in the Micro SD Card Query that are recorded on your SD card.
4.2.1.6. Alarm settings
Alarm sensitivity: you can choose the level of sensitivity when the alarm has to go off.
Choose high for an alarm that goes off with the slightest movements. Choose low for an
alarm that only goes off when there is an obvious change in front of the camera.
Motion detection: the camera will give an alarm based on movements.
IO alarm output: connect an external device to the camera through the terminal connection.
For example: you can connect an outdoor lamp to the camera. The outdoor lamp will
automatically go on when the camera records a movement.

4.2.1.7. System settings
Reboot the camera: you can restart the camera from a distance. This can take a few minutes.
Restore to factory settings: all the passwords and other saved information will be deleted
and restored to the factory settings.

5. WAN CAMERA
5.1.WAN Login
Press “Create Account”.
Fill in a username, password an e-mail address. Press “Done” to confirm your registration. You will be
redirected to the login page.

For use over the Internet (WAN), you will be asked to log in. There are 2 possibilities to login.
1. You can login per camera. Find the login details at the bottom of the IP Camera. You need to
enter the user name (CAM ID) and Password (Login Password) or scan the QR-code by
pressing the QR-code scanner icon. To save your password press the “key” button. Now you
can only see the camera where you have logged into.
2. To see a list of all your camera’s, you can log in with the username and password you’ve
created yourself in step 5.1.. Press “Options” in the upper right corner and press “Add
camera”. You can add all your camera’s by filing in each camera ID and access code (on the
bottom of the camera). Now you can view all you camera’s by just filling in your own
username and password and you don’t have to remind all the camera ID’s and access codes
anymore. If you forgot your password press “Recover password”, fill in your information and
an e-mail with a new password will be send to your e-mail address.
To logout press “Back” until you are back at the login screen.
You can see the login history by pressing on the “clock” icon in the upper right corner. To delete the
history press “Edit”.

5.2.WAN Camera browsing
When you are logged in, click on the camera you want to see. The program is now going to make
contact with your IP camera. This can take a few seconds.

5.3.1.2. Micro SD Card settings
Please make sure that the micro SD card is inserted in your IP camera.
1. Power off the IP Camera.
2. Open the IP camera by removing the 4 screws.
