Power Sources–The unit should be operated only from the
type of power source indicated on the marking label. If you
are not sure of the type of power supplied to your home,
consult your unit dealer or local power company.
GroundingorPolarization–Theunitisequippedwithapolar-
ized alternating current line plug (a plug having one blade
widerthan theother). This plug willt intothepoweroutlet
only one way. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into
the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail
to t, contact a licensed electrician to replace the outlet.
Power-Cord Protection–Power-supply cords should be
routedsothattheyarenotlikelytobewalkedonorpinched
by items placed upon or against them, paying particular at-
tention to cords where they enter a plug, or a convenience
receptacle, and the point where they exit from the unit.
Lightning–For added protection for the unit during a
lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused
for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and
disconnectfromotherdevices.This willprevent damageto
the unit due to lightning and power-line surges.
Overloading–Donotoverloadwalloutlets,extensioncords,
orintegralconveniencereceptaclesasthiscan resultinarisk
of re or electric shock.
ObjectandLiquidEntry–Neverpushobjectsofanykindinto
the unit through openings as they may touch dangerous
voltage points or short-out parts that could result in a re
or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the unit.
Servicing–Do not attempt to service the unit yourself as
openingorremovingcoversmayexposeyouto dangerous
voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualied
service personnel.
Damage Requiring Service–Unplug the unit from the wall
outlet and refer servicing to qualied service personnel
under the following conditions:
When the power-supply cord or plug is damaged,
If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into the
unit,
If the unit has been exposed to rain or water,
If the unit does not operate normally by following the
operating instructions,
If the unit has been dropped or damaged in any way, and
great care should be exercised in handling, and the unit
should be examined by qualied service personnel.
When the unit exhibits a distinct change in performance–
this indicates a need for service.
Replacement Parts–When replacement parts are required,
be sure the service technician has used replacement parts
specied by the manufacturer or have the same character-
istics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may
result in re, electric shock, or other hazards.
Heat–The unit should be situated away from heat sources
such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other units
(including ampliers) that produce heat.

Precautions
Verify The Line Voltage
Your new mStationTower™ has been factory congured for the
line voltagein your region.Connectingthe unittoalinevoltage
other than that for which it is intended can create a safety and
re hazard,andmay damagethe unit. Ifyou have anyquestions
aboutthevoltagerequirementsforyourspecicmodel,orabout
the line voltage in your area, contact mStation before plugging
the unit into a wall outlet.
Itis alwaysagood ideato avoid using any audioor com-
puterequipmenton the sameAC circuit asequipment
with motors, suchas air conditioners orrefrigerators.This
will lessenthepossibility ofpowervariation and electrical start-up
noiseaecting your sound system.
Power Cord
The removable power cord that is shipped with the mStation
Tower™ is specically designed to be used with this product.
DO NOT use any other power cord as that may possibly create
asafetyhazard.Shouldthe power cordrequire replacement,use
an identical type, or contact mStation for service.
Handle the AC Power Cord Gently
When disconnecting the power cord from an AC outlet, always
pull the plug, never pull the cord. If you do not intend to use the
mStationTower™foranyconsiderablelengthoftime,disconnect
the plug from the AC outlet. If the power cord is replaced, make
certain that it is of similar gauge. As with all electrical devices,
do not run power cords under rugs or carpets or place heavy
objects on them. Damaged power cords should be replaced
immediately with cords meeting factory specications.
Do Not Open The Cabinet
There are no user serviceable components inside this product.
Openingthecabinetmaypresenta shockhazard,andanymodi-
cation to the product will void your guarantee. If water or any
metal object, such as a paper clip, coin or a staple, accidentally
falls inside the unit, disconnect it from the AC power source im-
mediately, and contact mStation for further instructions.

Introduction Thank you for purchasing the mStation™ 2.1 Stereo Tower. Your new audio system
combines great audio performance and user-friendly operation with cutting edge
style. Whether used with your Apple® iPod®, MP3 player or computer, the mStation
Tower™ will provide years of musical enjoyment.
We are committed to creating innovative audio products to meet your home and
desktop needs.Togetthemost fromyournewsystem, pleasebesuretoread thisUser’s
Guide completely. It contains all of the necessary information to connect and operate
your system for maximum performance. Also, please take a moment to register your

Contents After following the unpacking instructions on the top of the box, remove all of the
components and accessories from the carton. Make sure all of the items listed below
are present:

Assembly Speaker Assembly
Choose the location where you will be operating the mStation Tower™ from and posi-
tion the unit vertically on the oor. With the male RCA audio jack of a Speaker centered
over the female jack on the Speaker Cylinder, align the three locking pins with their
corresponding slotted holes and attach the speaker by gently pushing it down until it
is fully seated on the Speaker Cylinder. (See Detail B of the diagram on page 4)
Next, rotate the speaker in the direction of the arrow on top of the Speaker Cylinder.
Youwill feelsomeslight resistanceuntilthe lockingpinsslide pasttheslot locks.Repeat
the process for the other speaker.
The unique design of the mStation Tower™ allows the speakers to be individu-
ally rotated approximately 45 degrees to the left or right of center to accom-
modate your particular listening environment. Experiment with the direction
of each speaker until you achieve the optimal sonic experience.

Make sure not to lift your mStation Tower™ by grabbing it by the speakers, as
this may result indamage tothe connectorsor speakersthemselves.Alwayslift
the mStation Tower™ by rmly gripping the Left and Right Speaker Cylinders.
Dock Cradle Installation
The docking port on the mStation Tower™ is designed to support the following Apple
iPod models:
iPod video iPod with dock connector
iPod nano iPod photo
iPod mini
Four dockcradles are providedtomatchyourparticularmodeltothemStationTower™.
Choose the cradle that matches the shape of your iPod. (See Detail A of the diagram
on page 4)

If you will be using an iPod without a dock connector, such as an original iPod
or iPod shue, or another audio source with a headphone jack (stereo mini
plug), skip to the section titled “Line In Connections” on page 7.
ThemStationTower™shipswithaprotectivedustguardover thedockingport.
Before inserting a dock cradle, please remove the dust guard from the docking
port by using the two nger slots. Store the cover for future use.
With the arched back support facing the rear of the mStation Tower™ (towards the USB
and Line In jacks), and the center slot aligned with the dock connector, rmly seat the
cradle in the docking port as shown in the illustration on page 4. The rim of the cradle
should be ush with the top of the control panel deck.
AC Power Connection
!
The power cord pictured on page 4 may look dierent from the cord included
withyourmStationTower™. Itisbasedontheregionyou livein:NorthAmerica,
Europe,AustraliaandJapan.Pleasemakesurethatthepowercordisthecorrect
one for the power in your area.
Locate the AC power cord jack at the base of the Left Speaker cylinder. (See Detail C of
the diagram onpage4)Insertthematchingendofthe powercordintothejack,making
sure it is pushed in completely.

Beforeproceedingto thenextstep, conrmthattheMainPowerSwitchisin the
OFFposition(see Detail C of thediagramonpage 4) Also, neverdisconnectthe
power cord from the mStation Tower™ while the other end is plugged into an
AC outlet, as this may cause an electric shock.
Plug the power cord into an AC wall outlet or UL approved power strip or surge pro-
tector. Turn the Main Power Switch ON. The Status Indicator on the front of the unit
will glow amber.
Connections Youarenowready to connectyouriPodor other audiosourcetoyourmStationTower™.
There are several types of connection alternatives to choose from:
 If you are connecting an iPod with a dock connector, go to the section titled “iPod
Installation.”
 To connect the mStation Tower™ to your computer, skip to the section titled “USB
Connections.”
 If your iPod does not have a dock connector, or you will be using another audio
source such as an MP3 Player with a 1/8" headphone jack, skip to the section titled
“Line In Connections.”
To prevent damage to the speakers, make sure the power of your audio device
(iPod, MP3 player, CD player, etc.) is turned OFF before connecting it to your
mStation Tower™.
iPod Installation
To install an iPod with a dock connector, carefully but rmly seat the iPod into the
docking port on the mStation Tower’s™ Control Panel Deck, making sure the iPod
is facing forward. The iPod will immediately turn on. Proceed to the section titled
“Operations” on page 7.
USB Connections
To enable access to iTunes for an iPod connected to the mStation’s™ docking port,
insert one end of the supplied USB cable into the jack labeled “ ” on the mStation
Tower’s™ Control Panel Deck. Insert the other end of the cable into the USB jack of the
computer. Proceed to the section titled “Operations” on page 7.

If an iPod is connected to the mStation Tower’s™ docking port when you plug
the USB cable into your computer, the iPod will automatically appear on your
computer’s desktop and iTunes will launch. The same will occur if you connect
an iPod to the docking port while your computer is plugged into the mStation Tower™
with a USB cable.
Line In Connections
To connect an audio device with a 1/8" headphone jack, insert one end of the supplied
stereo mini plug audio cable into the jack labeled “Line In” on the mStation Tower’s™
ControlPanelDeck.Inserttheotherendofthecableintothe1/8"headphonejackoraudio
out jack of the audio device. Proceed to the section titled “Operations” below.
WhenasourceisconnectedtotheLineInjackonthemStationTower™,playback
fromdevicesconnectedtothedockingport is disabled. To listen tooneof these
sources, you will need to remove the mini plug cable from the Line In jack.
Operation mStation Tower™ and Remote Control Buttons
Once all connections have been made, your mStation Tower™ is ready to operate. All
functions are performed by using the Control Buttons on the top of the Control Panel
Deck or on the Remote Control. A description of the Control Buttons is shown below.
Before using the Remote Control you must remove the factory-inserted plastic
tab designed to prevent the battery from prematurely discharging. The tab is
found at the bottom (rounded-end) of the Remote. Simply pull the entire tab
out of the battery tray to activate the Remote Control. Make sure that the battery tray is
completely inserted before operating the Remote .
These three buttons work with any audio source connected to the mStation Tower™:
Standby/On
When the Main Power switch at the bottom of the mStation Tower™ is set to
ON, pressing this button toggles from Standby (no audio output or device
control) to On (speakerson and all controls functional). The status light glows
blue when the unit is on. In Standby mode the status light glows amber.
Volume Down/Volume Up
These buttons raise and lower the volume of the mStation Tower™.
Every time you turn on the unit, the volume level starts from zero.
Bass/Treble (Remote Control only)
These buttons adjust the tone settings of the mStation Tower™ speakers.
The following buttons are used to control an iPod that is connected to the mStation
Tower™ docking port:
Previous/Rewind
Pressing this button once starts a song over again. Pressing this button twice
skips to the previous song. Pressing and holding this button rewinds through
the song.
Next/Fast Forward
Pressing this button once skips to the next song. Pressing and holding this
button fast forwards through the song.
Play/Pause
If your iPod is turned o, pressing this button turns it on and begins play
of the last song selected. If your iPod is already on, pressing this button
begins play of the selected song. Pressing this button again pauses the song.
Pressing and holding this button turns the iPod o.

iPod Operation
To operate your mStation Tower™ with an iPod connected to the docking port, follow
the steps outlined below:
1. Press the Standby/On button on the mStation Tower™ or the Remote Control. The
Status Indicator light will turn blue.
2. Ifitisn’t already,turnonyouriPodbypressingthePlay/Pausebuttononthe mStation
Tower™ or the Remote Control.
3. Navigate to the desired playlist or song using your iPod’s controls.
4. Press thePlay/Pausebutton onthe mStationTower™ orthe RemoteControltobegin
listening to the selected song.
5. Use the Volume Control buttons on the mStation Tower™ or Remote Control to
set the desired listening level. Use the Control Buttons on the mStation Tower™ or
Remote Control to move through the selected playlist.
6. When you are nished listening, press and hold the Play/Pause on the mStation
Tower™ or the Remote Control. Your iPod will turn o. The Status indicator light will
turn red.
7. Press the Standby/On button on the mStation Tower™ or Remote to return it to
Standby mode. The Status indicator light will turn amber.
AllofyouriPod’scontrolbuttonsremainactivewhileitisdockedtothemStation
Tower™.NavigationofyourmusiclibrarycanonlybeperformedusingtheiPod’s
controls. When the iPod is turned o and left in the docking port, the iPod will
continue to charge as long as the Main Power switch at the bottom of the mStation
Tower™ is ON. Your iPod will continue to operate even when you remove it from the
docking port. Returning the iPod to the docking port will resume play as long as the
mStation Tower™ is not in Standby mode.
iPod + iTunes Operation
Plugging your Mac or PC into the USB jack of the mStation Tower™ provides your iPod
access to your computer and iTunes music library without disconnecting it from the
docking port. To download or make changes to the music on your iPod, follow the
instructions that came with the iPod.
Whenever you plug your computer into the mStation Tower’s™ USB jack while
an iPod is connected to the docking port, the computer will automatically
detecttheiPod and, dependingonyoursettings, launch iTunes.For more infor-
mation, see the instructions that came with your iPod.
While linking to the computer, music playback, as well as access to your iPod, will be
interrupted briey. Playback will resume once the computer has successfully linked with
your iPod. Your iPod’s screen will display the message “Do Not Disconnect.”
WhenyouarenishedaccessingyouriPod,follow theinstructionsthatcame withyour
iPod to eject (disconnect) it from the computer.

While connectedtoyourcomputer,if yousee a messageon your iPod thatsays
“Do not disconnect,” it is not safe to remove the iPod from the docking port or
unplug the computer from the USB jack. To avoid damage to your les, follow
the instructions that came with your iPod to properly eject (disconnect) the iPod before
undocking or disconnecting the USB cable from the mStation Tower™.
Once you have successfully ejected (disconnected) the iPod, you can safely unplug the
computer or undock the iPod from the mStation Tower™.
To continue listening to your iPod, make sure it is connected to the mStation Tower™
properly and follow the steps outlined in “iPod Operation.”

Audio Device Operation
To operate your mStation Tower™ with an audio device connected to the Line In jack,
such as an iPod without a dock connector, portable MP3 or CD player, computer, etc.,
follow the steps outlined below:
1. Press the Standby/On button on the mStation Tower™ or the Remote Control. The
Status Indicator light will turn blue.
2. Turn on the connected audio source and operate it using the device’s own controls.
3. Use the Volume Control buttons on the mStation Tower™ or Remote Control to set
the desired listening level. If the audio device has its own volume control you might
need to adjust it as well.
WhenlisteningtoadeviceconnectedtotheLineInjack,onlytheStandby/On,Volume,
Bass and Treble control buttons on the Remote Control or mStation Tower™ will
function.If youraudiodevicehasitsownvolumecontrol, youmay needto adjustit,
together with the volume controls of the mStation Tower™, to prevent distortion during
playback. Control of the audio device is performed using the device’s own controls.
4. When you are nished listening, stop the audio device and turn it o using its own
controls.
5. Press the Standby/On button on the mStation Tower™ or Remote to return it to
Standby mode. The Status indicator light will turn amber.
An iPod connected to the using the Line In jack cannot be controlled by either
the mStation Tower’s™ control buttons, or by a computer connected to the
mStation Tower’s™ USB jack.
Remember, when a device is connected to the Line In jack of the mStation Tower™,
playback from other devices connected to the docking port or USB jack is disabled. To
enable playback of these devices, you will need to disconnect the mini plug cable from
the mStation Tower™.

Assemblage Assemblage des haut-parleurs
Choisissez l’emplacement où sera installée la mStation Tower™ et placez l’unité verti-
calement sur le sol La prise audio RCA mâle du haut-parleur étant centrée au-dessus
de la prise femelle du cylindre du haut-parleur, alignez les trois pattes de verrouillage
sur les fentes correspondantes et installez le haut-parleur en poussant doucement
vers le bas jusqu’à ce qu’il repose bien sur le cylindre du haut-parleur. (Voir Détail B du
diagramme de la page 14)
Faites ensuite pivoter le haut-parleur dans la direction de la èche se trouvant sur le
dessus du cylindre du haut-parleur. Voussentirez une légère résistance jusqu’à ce que
les pattes de verrouillage glissent au-delà des verrous des fentes. Répétez le processus
pour l’autre haut-parleur.
Le design unique de la mStation Tower™ permet aux haut-parleurs de pivoter
individuellement d’environ 45 degrés vers la gauche ou la droite, à partir du
centre, pour répondre à la disposition particulière de votre environnement
d’écoute.Changezladirectiondechaquehaut-parleurjusqu'àcequevousobteniezune
sonorité optimale.

Faites attention à ne pas soulever votre mStation Tower™ en l’attrapant par les
haut-parleurs : ceci risquerait d’endommager les connecteurs ou les haut-par-
leurs eux-mêmes. Soulevez toujours la mStation Tower™ en saisissant ferme-
ment les cylindres des haut-parleurs gauche et droit.

Installation du socle du dock
Le port dock de la mStation Tower™ est conçu pour prendre en charge les modèles
iPod de Apple suivants :
iPod vidéo iPod avec connecteur de dock
iPod nano iPod photo
iPod mini
Quatresoclesdedocksont fournispourfairecorrespondreparfaitement votremodèle
personnel avec la mStation Tower™. Choisissez le socle qui correspond à la forme de
votre iPod. (Voir Détail A du diagramme de la page 14)
Si vous utilisez un iPod sans connecteur de dock, comme un iPod original ou
un iPod shue, ou une autre source audio sans prise de casque (mini-prise
stéréo), passez à la section intitulée « Connexions à Line In », à la page 17.
LamStationTower™est munied’uncouvercleprotecteur, surleportdock, pour
l’expédition. Avant d’insérer un socle de dock, veuillez enlever le couvercle du
port dock en utilisant les deux fentes prévues pour les doigts. Gardez le cou-
vercle pour une utilisation ultérieure.
Lesupportàdosincurvéfaisantfaceà l’arrièredelamStationTower™(verslesprisesUSB
et« LineIn »),etlafentecentraleétantalignéesurleconnecteurdedock,appuyezferme-
ment le socle dans le port dock comme indiqué sur l’illustration de la page 14. Le bord
du socle devrait être à la même hauteur que le dessus du panneau de commande.

Le cordond’alimentationmontréàlapage4peut diérer decelui quiestinclus
avec votre mStation Tower™. Il dépend de la région dans laquelle vous vivez :
Amérique du Nord, Europe, Australie et Japon. Assurez-vous que le cordon
d’alimentation est bien celui qui correspond au courant électrique de votre région.
Trouvez la prise du cordon d’alimentation c.a., à la base du cylindre du haut-parleur
gauche.(VoirDétailC dudiagrammede lapage14)Insérezl’extrémitécorrespondante
du cordon d’alimentation dans la prise, en veillant à ce qu’elle soit poussée à fond.

Avant de passer à l’étape suivante, vériez si l’interrupteur d’alimentation prin-
cipale est bien en position OFF (arrêt) (Voir Détail C du diagramme de la page
4). Ne déconnectez jamais non plus le lorsque l’autre extrémité est branchée
dans une prise c.a. : ceci pourrait provoquer un choc électrique
Branchez le cordon d’alimentation dans une prise murale c.a. ou une barre avec
prises multiples ou un limiteur de tension homologué UL. Remettez l’interrupteur
d’alimentation principal en position ON (marche). L’indicateur d’état, à l’avant de la
mStation Tower™, s’illuminera d’une couleur ambre.
Connexions Vous êtes maintenant prêt à connecter votre iPod, ou une autre source audio, à votre
mStation Tower™. Vous pouvez choisir diérents types de connexions :
 Pour connecter un iPod avec un connecteur de dock, consultez la section intitulée
« Installation d’un iPod ».
 Pour connecter la mStation Tower™ à votre ordinateur, passez à la section intitulée
« Connexion à un ordinateur ».
 Si votre iPod n’a pas de connecteur de dock, ou si vous utilisez une autre source
audio telle qu’un lecteur MP3 avec une prise de casque 1/8 po, passez à la section
« Connexion à Line In ».
Pour éviter d’endommager les haut-parleurs, assurez-vous que l’alimentation
de votre appareil audio (iPod, lecteur MP3, lecteur de CD, etc.) est hors tension
avant de le connecter à votre mStation Tower™.

Installation d’un iPod
PourinstalleruniPodsurunconnecteurdedock,posezdoucement,maisfermement, le
iPoddansleportdockdelamStationTower™,enveillantàcequeleiPodsoitfaceà vous.
Le iPod s’allumera immédiatement. Passez à la section intitulée « Fonctionnement » à
la page 17.
Connexions USB
Pour permettre à un iPod connecté au port dock de la mStation d’accéder à iTunes,
insérez une extrémité du câble USB dans la prise « » située sur le tableau de com-
mande de la mStation Tower™ Insérez l’autre extrémité du câble dans la prise USB de
l’ordinateur. Passez à la section intitulée « Fonctionnement » à la page 17.
Si un iPod est connecté au port dock de la mStation Tower™ lorsque vous
branchez le câble USB dans votre ordinateur, le iPod apparaîtra automatique-
ment sur le bureau de votre ordinateur et iTunes sera lancé. Il se produira la
mêmechosesivousconnectezuniPodauportdocklorsquevotreordinateurestbranché
à la mStation Tower™.
Connexions à « Line In »
Pourconnecterunappareilaudioavecuneprisedecasque1/8po,insérezuneextrémité
du câble audio mini-prise stéréo fourni dans la prise « Line In » située sur le panneau de
commande de la mStation Tower™. Insérez l’autre extrémité du câble dans la prise du
casque 1/8 po ou la prise « Audio out » de l’appareil audio. Passez à la section intitulée
« Fonctionnement » ci-dessous.
Lorsqu’une source est connectée à la prise « Line In » de la mStation Tower™,
l’écoute des dispositifs connectés au port dock est bloquée. Pour écouter l’une
de ces sources, vous devrez enlever le câble mini-prise de la prise « Line In ».
Fonctionnement
Touches de la mStation Tower™ et de la télécommande
Unefoisquetouteslesconnexionsappropriées aurontétéfaites,votremStationTower™
sera prête à fonctionner. Toutes les fonctions sont déclenchées à l’aide des boutons de
commande se trouvant sur le dessus de la mStation Tower™ ou sur la télécommande.
Les boutons de commande sont décrits ci-dessous.
Avant d’utiliser la télécommande, vous devez enlever l’onglet de plastique inséré
parl’usine.Ilaétéconçupouréviterquelapilesedéchargeprématurément.L’onglet
se trouve dans le bas (extrémité arrondie) de la télécommande. Tirez simplement
sur l’ongletpour leretirer dubacàpile etactivezlatélécommande.Assurez-vous que lebac
à pile est complètement inséré avant de faire fonctionner la télécommande.
Ces trois touches fonctionnent avec tout type de source audio connectée à la
mStation Tower™ :
Standby (attente)/On (marche)
Lorsque l’interrupteur d’alimentation principal de la mStation Tower™ est en
positionON(marche),lefaitd’appuyersurcettetouchefaitbasculerdeStandby
(attente) (aucune sortie audio ni contrôle de l’appareil) à On (marche) (les
haut-parleursettouslescontrôlessontfonctionnels).L’indicateurd’états’illumined’une
couleur bleue lorsque l’unité est allumée. En mode Standby (attente), le voyant d’état
s’illumine d’une couleur ambre.
Volume Down (baisser le volume)/Volume Up (monter le volume)
Ces touches permettent d’augmenter ou de diminuer le volume des
haut-parleurs de la mStation Tower™. Chaque fois que vous allumez
l’unité, le volume repart à zéro.

Bass (basse)/Treble (aigu) (télécommande seulement)
Ces touches règlent la tonalité des haut-parleurs de la mStation Tower™.
Les touches suivantes servent à contrôler un iPod connecté au port dock de la
mStation Tower™ :
Previous (précédent)/Rewind (rembobinage rapide)
Appuyezunefoissurcette touche pourréécouter unmorceau.Appuyezdeux
fois sur cette touche pour passer au morceau précédent. Appuyez sur cette
touche et maintenez-la enfoncée pour rembobiner le morceau.
Next (suivant)/Fast Forward (avance rapide)
Appuyez une fois sur cette touche pour passer au morceau suivant. Appuyez
sur cette touche et maintenez-la enfoncée pour faire déler rapidement le
morceau.
Play (lecture)/Pause
Si votre iPod est éteint, il se met en marche lorsque vous appuyez sur cette
touche et commence à jouer le dernier morceau sélectionné. Si votre iPod est
déjà en marche, appuyez sur cette touche pour que le morceau sélectionné
commence à jouer. Appuyez à nouveau sur cette touche pour arrêter provisoirement
le morceau. Appuyez sur cette touche et maintenez-la enfoncée pour arrêter le iPod.
Fonctionnement du iPod
Pour faire fonctionner votre mStation Tower™ alors qu’un iPod est connecté au port
dock, suivez ces étapes :
1. Appuyez sur la touche Standby (attente)/On (marche) de la mStation Tower™ ou de
la télécommande. Le voyant d’état deviendra bleu.
2. Si ce n’est pas encore fait, allumez votre iPod en appuyant sur la touche Play (lec-
ture)/Pause de la mStation Tower™ ou de la télécommande.
3. Naviguez jusqu’à la liste d’écoute ou jusqu’au morceau désiré en utilisant les com-
mandes de votre iPod.
4. Appuyez sur la touche Play (lecture)/Pause de la mStation Tower™ ou de la télécom-
mande pour commencer à écouter le morceau sélectionné.
5. UtilisezlestouchesdecontrôleduvolumedelamStationTower™oudelatélécommande
pourleréglerauniveaudésiré.UtilisezlesboutonsdecommandedelamStationTower™
ou de la télécommande pour vous déplacer dans la liste d’écoute sélectionnée.
6. Lorsque vous avez ni d’écouter, appuyez sur la touche Play (lecture)/Pause de la
mStation Tower™ ou de la télécommande et maintenez-la enfoncée. Votre iPod
s’éteindra. Le voyant d’état deviendra rouge.
7. Appuyezsurlatouche Standby (attente)/On (marche) dela mStationTower™ oudela télé-
commande pour revenir au mode Standby (attente). Le voyant d’état deviendra ambre.
Tous les boutons de commande de votre iPod restent actifs tant qu’il est connecté à
la mStation Tower™. La navigation dans votre musicothèque ne peut se faire qu’à
l’aide des commandes du iPod. Lorsque le iPod est éteint et laissé sur le port dock, le
iPodcontinueàsechargertantquel’interrupteurd’alimentationprincipal,enbasdelamSta-
tion Tower™, est en position ON (marche) Votre iPod continuera à fonctionner même si vous
l’enlevezduportdock.LeiPodrecommenceraàjouerlorsquevousleremettrezsurleportdock,
pourvu que la mStation Tower™ ne soit pas en mode Standby (attente).
Fonctionnement du iPod avec iTunes
Votre iPod a accès à votre ordinateur et à la musicothèque iTunes sans qu’il soit néces-
saire de le déconnecter du port dock, lorsque vous connectez votre Mac ou votre PC
dansla priseUSBde lamStationTower™.Pourtéléchargerde lamusiquesurvotre iPod,
ou faire des changements, suivre les instructions qui accompagnent le iPod.

LorsquevousbranchezvotreordinateurdanslapriseUSBdelamStationTower™,
alorsqu’uniPodestconnectéauportdock,l’ordinateurdétecteraautomatique-
ment le iPod et, selon vos paramètres, lancera iTunes. Pour de plus amples
renseignements, voir les instructions qui accompagnent votre iPod.
Lorsquevousvousbranchezàl’ordinateur,lalecturedelamusique,demêmequel’accès
à votre iPod, seront brièvement interrompus. La lecture reprendra lorsque l’ordinateur
aura été correctement relié à votre iPod. Le message « Ne pas déconnecter » s’achera
sur l’écran de votre iPod.
Lorsque vous aurez ni d’utiliser votre iPod, suivez les instructions qui accompagnent
votre iPod pour l’éjecter (le déconnecter) de l’ordinateur.

PendantqueleiPodestconnectéàvotreordinateur,sivousvoyezunmessagesur
votreiPodquidit« Nepasdéconnecter », il estrisquéd’enleverleiPodduportdock
ou de débrancher l’ordinateur de la prise USB. Pour éviter d’endommager vos
chiers,suivezlesinstructionsquiaccompagnentvotreiPodpourl’éjecter(ledéconnecter)
avant de l’enlever du dock ou de déconnecter le câble USB de la mStation Tower™.
Une fois que vous aurez correctement éjecté (déconnecté) le iPod, vous pourrez
débrancher l’ordinateur ou enlever le iPod de la mStation Tower™ sans risque.
Pour continuer à écouter votre iPod, assurez-vous qu’il est connecté correctement à la
mStation Tower™ et suivez les étapes indiquées dans « Fonctionnement du iPod »
Fonctionnement de l’appareil audio
PourfairefonctionnervotremStationTower™avecunappareilaudioconnectéàlaprise
« Line In », comme un iPod sans connecteur de dock, un lecteur MP3 portable ou un
lecteur de CD, un ordinateur, etc., suivez les étapes énumérées ci-dessous :
1. Appuyez sur la touche Standby (attente)/On (marche) de la mStation Tower™ ou de
la télécommande. Le voyant d’état deviendra bleu.
2. Mettez en marche la source audio connectée et faites-la fonctionner en utilisant ses
propres commandes.
3. Utilisez les touches de contrôle du volume de la mStation Tower™ ou de la télécom-
mande pour le régler au niveau désiré. Si l’appareil audio a son propre contrôle de
volume, vous devrez peut-être le régler aussi.
Lorsque vous écoutez un appareil connecté à la prise « Line In », seuls les boutons
decommandeStandby(attente)/On(marche),Volume,Bass(basse)etTreble(aigu)
de la mStation Tower™ ou de la télécommande fonctionnent. Si votre appareil
audio a ses propres commandes de volume, vous devrez peut-être les régler, ainsi que les
commandesdevolumedelamStationTower™,pouréviterunedistorsionpendantlalecture.
La commande de l’appareil audio se fait en utilisant les commandes de cet appareil.
4. Lorsquevousaveznid’écouterl’appareilaudio,arrêtez-le etmettez-lehorstension
en utilisant ses propres commandes.
5. Appuyez sur la touche Standby (attente)/On (marche) de la mStation Tower™ ou de la télé-
commande pour revenir au mode Standby (attente). Le voyant d’état deviendra ambre.
Un iPod connecté par l’intermédiaire d’une prise « Line In » ne peut pas être
contrôlé par les boutons de commande de la mStation Tower™, ni par un or-
dinateur connecté à la prise USB de la mStation Tower™.
Rappelez-vous que lorsqu’un appareil est connecté à la prise « Line In » de la mSta-
tion Tower™, la lecture d’autres appareils connectés au port dock ou à la prise USB est
désactivée. Pour permettre la lecture de ces appareils, vous devrez déconnecter le câble
mini-prise de la mStation Tower™.
