V1.1
1. Muarah MT-3 –high quality analogue turntable with 9” armboard
Thank you for choosing our product which was designed and built in Poland with pride. Unique
construction and technology of Muarah turntables gives our customers opportunity to play vinyl
records with great sound quality. Whereas our modern design should satisfy even the most demanding
Hi-End audio lovers.
MT-3 turntable was created based on our experience from building best in class turntables for many years.
In fact it is result of evolution of Muarah MT-1 and MT-2 models towards some simplification but also
with effort to optimize construction and achieve best quality product. The MT-3 unique solution is the
vibration damping system featuring platter height adjustment and leveling feature. It is inspired in
automotive solutions lake many of our technical solutions. The assembly holding the platter bearing
reassembles old school leaf springs suspension construction. It’s is made of composite materials
carefully selected within experimental process to achieve best vibration damping and uncompromised
stability. MT-3 is in standard offered with our Muarah MY-1/9 tonearm, however it is possible to adopt
it to many different tonearms from other producers. Of course we didn't test our turntable with all
tonearms available on the market, thus in case of any problems in turntable matching please contact
us via e-mail on: muarah@muarah.pl

2. MT-3 turntable main features
•Solid construction, incl. platter weighting c.a. 2,5 kg, ensures great bass control, low distortion level and
very good rpm speed control.
•MDF turntable base platform featuring special „sandwich” design inserts for motor housing and the arm
board mounts - additional isolation from motor or environment originated vibrations.
•Unique sub chassis of a leaf spring construction featuring height adjustment and leveling function
•Acrylic plater of 30mm thickness, resulting in good vibration damping and resonance elimination.
•Integrated record mat made of aluminum and anti-static rubber foam inserts.
•High quality synchronous motor of very low vibration and noise level.
•Choice of two popular record rotary speeds: 33 1/3 or 45 rpm, manual change through the drive belt
move on the pulley.
•Precise and easy leveling mechanism featuring two rotating knobs.
•Advanced bearing designed made for long life even w/o lubrication –including ceramic bearing,
hardened steel shaft and Teflon ball seat.
•MT-3 turntable is in standard configuration offered with high quality Muarah MY-1/9 tonearm
•On customer's request we can offer adaptation plate for any 9-inch length tonearm. We recommend
tonearms from reputable brands, such as: Jelco, SME, MORCH, REGA, CLEARAUDIO.
•Wide range of compatible options gives opportunity to experiment with selection of phono cartridges
and sound of the entire system.
3. Selection of the tonearms
In general Muarah turntable is offered as a set with MY-1/9 tonearm and w/o phono cartridge, however it
is also possible to purchase the “deck only” version. Exchangeable tonearm mounting plate of the
Muarah turntable causes, that practically the only limitation of tonearm selection is its effective length
–in the wide range of c.a. 9 inch. In standard configuration the turntable is offered with mounting plate
of “rega standard”. On customer's request we can offer free of charge adaptation plate for any 9” length
tonearm. However as we didn't test our turntable with all tonearms available on the market, in case of
any problems in turntable set configuration, please contact us via e-mail on: muarah@muarah.pl

4. Installation
1. At first, please pick up the 3 inox steel cone discs (cone feet supports). Place discs in appropriate order
and distances –see chart 2.
2. Pay attention to place the turntable in appropriate distance from other electronic devices e.g.:
amplifier (due to possible interferences). Recommended distance is minimum 20 cm.
3. Carefully take the main part of the turntable out of the box (the main board, bearing).
4. The main board of turntable should be placed on inox discs, first located in appropriate order.
5. Carefully remove the plastic sleeve preventing the bearing from dust or damage in transportation.
6. Place the platter on the bearing shaft with maximum care, slowly and gently paying attention to slide
it on the shaft without noticeable friction.
7. Following activity should be rubber drive belt placement on the platter and the proper groove on the
pulley –depending on the desired rotary speed (33 1/3 rpm –the upper groove, 45 rpm –the lower
groove). The drive belts is included in the turntable set.
8. The next step is final leveling of the entire turntable. It is achieved thanks to inox steel knobs, located in
the front area of the acrylic base board –see chart 1 for reference. Turn each knob clockwise to lower
the turntable height over the ground.
9. If it is necessary to increase height of the rear of turntable, please turn clockwise the rear cone feet,
holding it directly by hand (the only feet w/o leveling knob).
10. Now it's time to install the tonearm, according to the tonearm’s producer's instructions.
11. Scheme of the wiring of the turntable in typical Audio –Stereo system with use of phono preamplifier
is shown on the following chart 4.
12. Insert the “jack” type connector of the power supply provided with the turntable into the socket located
under the motor housing.
13. If the turntable has been moved recently from a place with low temperature or high humidity, please
wait at least 30 min before the motor first start.

14. If the turntable is fully configured and ready for operation, plug the power supply connector voltage
(110V or 230V according to the regional standard) into the power source.
15. Use the power switch located under the Muarah logo plate in front of the device to turn the motor on.
5. Turn on / off and change of the platter rotary speed
1. Put the record on the turntable platter and eventually weight it on with the optional Muarah record
clamp.
2. Turn on the motor using power switch located under the Muarah logo plate.
3. Put the phono stylus on the record surface, following the instructions of the chosen tonearm producer.
4. Change of the platter rotary speed is done through move of the drive belt between two grooves on the
motor pulley and pay attention that the belt uses the most suitable row on the platter.
5. The upper groove on motor pulley results in speed of 33 1/3 rpm, the most typical for 12-inch, „LP” type
records.
6. Moving the belt to the lower and bigger diameter groove changes platter speed to 45 rpm typical for 7-
inch vinyl singles.
7. If necessary move the belt down or up on the platter with your finger.
6. Platter leveling and height adjustment (optional)
Subchassis adjustment is pre-set in the factory and in most cases it shouldn’t be adjusted. As it’s not a
standard maintenance procedure the necessary tool (hex key of 4mm size) is not provided. We
recommend to contact us via e-mail: muarah@muarah.pl before performing this adjustment However
if you feel that any additional adjustment is needed please follow the next steps to do it properly.
1. With platter on its place level the plinth over ground (use of a spirit level gauge is recommended).
2. Insert the hex key of 4mm size into one of 3 hex socket bolts as shown on the picture –chart 5.
Chart 5: Location of the 4mm hex socket bolts used to adjust and level the platter height.

3. Turn the adjusting bolt clockwise to decrease the height of the platter over the acrylic base platform
and counter clockwise to increase the height. Adjust 3 bolts in sequence to achieve proper height and
locate the platter parallel vs. the turntable plinth. Control platter leveling using a spirit level gauge.
7. Care & maintenance
1. Inox steel and lacquer plated, also acrylic parts of the turntable can be dust cleaned with soft cotton
cloth or very soft microfiber towel.
2. It is recommended to keep the turntable under cover, preventing from dust. We recommend the
dedicated clear acrylic cover available in our offer.
3. Muarah turntable is designed to operate lifetime without platter bearing lubrication. However if you
feel that additional lubrication is needed please contact the manufacturer on muarah@muarah.pl
8. Safety rules
1. Motor power supply cable with “Jack” connector, can be plugged into the power socket, only if the
power cable is not connected to the 110V or 230V power source.
2. It's not allowed to open the motor housing under any circumstances.
3. Please don’t open the power supply housing. In case of any failure or problem please contact our
distributor or use muarah@muarah.pl to contact us directly.
