Exceptional Color Printing
• The MFX-C2828 produces high-speed color output at up to
28 pages-per-minute
• Advanced color technology sharpens output to produce rich, high-
quality documents using ordinary office paper
• PCL 5c / 6 and PostScript3 enable printing from a variety of operating
systems and network environments
• Secure printing suppresses document printout until a password has
been entered on the control panel
• The MFX-C2828 can print on a variety of media including postcards,
recycled paper, waterproof paper, envelopes, labels and even 11.75" x
47.25" banner paper
• Optional EFI Fiery™ Image Controller offers sophisticated color
management and document printing tools. This option enables you
to handle specific Pantone™ color requirements and fine-tune color
output with advanced control capabilities.

Efficient Document Handling
• 100-sheet reversing automatic document feeder (RADF) efficiently
captures two-sided, multi-page documents
• 11" x 17" platen glass enables the seamless copying of carbon papers,
bound documents, photos, coated identification cards and other media
that is not suitable for the RADF
• The MFX-C2828 comes standard with (2) 500-sheet paper cassettes
that support paper sizes up to 11" x 17". The 150-sheet multipurpose
bypass tray supports postcards, labels, 100 lb. cover stock, envelopes,
waterproof paper and 11.75" x 47.25" banner sheets.
• Optional paper cassettes can be added to bring the total paper
capacity to 3,650 sheets
• Supports mixed original copying
• Optional document finishing capabilities include stapling, booklet
creation, hole punching and shift sorting
Digital Document Delivery
• Easily deliver color documents to e-mail addresses, PC folders, user
boxes and FTP sites
• Optional scanning & workflow tools enable direct scanning into
SharePoint™, conversion of scanned PDF images into searchable
documents, creation of customized document workflows and more
• Documents can be delivered in PDF, TIFF, JPEG and XPS file formats
• On-the-go users can conveniently scan documents to a portable
USB flash drive
• Intuitive touchscreen QWERTY keypad, as well as the optional
external keyboard, enables the quick customization of scan file names,
e-mail text messages, e-mail addresses and more
• High-speed fax modem delivers faxes at up to 3 seconds-per-page.

• Guidance key provides users with immediate access to device
assistance. Animations provide visuals that enable the end user to
clearly understand job execution and device features.
The MFX-C2828 is certified for ISO 15408 Common Criteria security classification that
meets the strict version 3.1. Standard security protections include:
• Secure print which requires device authentication before releasing a print job from memory
• Customized user authentication for printing, scanning, faxing and user boxes
• Encrypted PDF workflow protects information as it passes from the PC to the network
• IP Filtering restricts access to the device based on an IP address authentication list
• SSL/TLS encryption that protects data during an exchange with an LDAP server
• S/MIME encryption to safeguard e-mail exchanges
• Audit Log/Image Log to track usage and control access.
Optional authentication tools, such as the biometric authentication unit and HID authentication card reader and
HID authentication tool kit, can provide additional layers of authentication without compromising user efficiency.

The MFX-C2828 is more than just a color printing solution. With the ability to electronically capture hardcopy documents
and deliver them to e-mail addresses, PC locations, fax terminals and USB drives, the MFX-C2828 is a key component in the
document lifecycle.
E-mail
• Preview and edit scanned images on the MFP touch screen.
• Large color touch screen makes it easy to enter e-mail
addresses, add text to an e-mail, select preregistered
recipients and more.
• Ultra-Compact PDF technology produces smaller file sizes,
while actually raising the quality of conventional compact
PDF images to a level that approaches normal PDF. This
solution can greatly reduce network bandwidth usage
when scanning to an e-mail address.
• Supports LDAP.
PC
• Deliver documents to a PC folder at the touch of a button
utilizing scan profiles.
Advanced Scanning Solutions (Optional)
• Scan to SharePoint™ option enables users to share
hardcopy documents quickly and easily, as well as make
document collaboration a highly efficient process.
• Web browser solution allows you to access the Internet
from the panel of the MFX-C2828 through a built-in web
browser. This enables you to view web page content directly
from the LCD panel on the MFP.
• The searchable PDF solution adds transparent text data to
scanned images during the scanning process, simplifying
retrieval from your PC.
Fax (Optional)
• 33.6 Kbps fax modem transmits documents at up to
3 seconds-per-page.
• Store up to 2,000 fax numbers in the address book for
instant recall.
• Broadcast a document to up to 605 locations and create
group dials with up to 500 locations per group.
• Quickly send documents from a PC using the fax driver.
• Route inbound fax documents to an e-mail address to reduce
paper consumption, increase document security and receive
critical communication when out-of-the-office.
• T.37 Internet Faxing is supported.
USB
• Quickly and securely digitize documents,
without a PC, by capturing images directly
onto a USB flash drive via the side-mounted USB port.
• Documents can be printed directly from a USB flash drive.
Supported file formats include PDF, JPEG, and TIFF.
• Administrators can enable/disable USB device usage in total,
or restrict usage by user with user authentication.
Scan to Box
• Scanned data can be sent to the MFX-C2828 hard disk drive
and stored in “Boxes” for access and reuse by individual
users, project teams or departments.
• Quickly enter a file name from the MFX-C2828 control panel.
• Documents that are stored in boxes can be printed directly
from memory (on-demand printing)
