Troubleshooting
Under normal operating circumstances, the faceplate LCD will display the artist and song title.The LCD will display Please
Insert Media or Media Removed when no disc is present. Should you insert a disc not properly formatted, it will be ejected
and the display will read Please Insert Media. If any other message is displayed, technical help may be obtained by calling
Muzak NOC at 800 327.6549.
Display Brightness and Contrast
The faceplate LCD may be adjusted for better viewing. To do so, press the ENTER button on the faceplate to access the
control/diagnostic menu. Press the ENTER button a second time to access the Display menu. Press the ▼button to scroll to
LCD Settings. Use the ▲or ▼buttons to modify the Resistance Ratio (brightness). Once the desired level is reached, press
ENTER to adjust the Reference Voltage (contrast). Again, use the ▲or ▼buttons to adjust to the desired level. When correct,
press ENTER to save the new settings.
System Reset
Powering down the player via the front panel POWER button causes the player to go into a “sleep” mode. To perform an
actual hard reset of the player, either disconnect power, or press the rear panel RESET button, followed by pressing the front
panel POWER button.
Program Selection
Some Encompass XD discs may allow the user to select from a list of Program, Schedule or Calendar playback options. To do
so, press the ENTER button on the faceplate to access the control/diagnostic menu. Press the ▼button to scroll to Pgm. Press
the ENTER button to access a listing of available selections. Use the ▲or ▼buttons to scroll to the desired selection. Press
the ENTER button to make your selection.
Note Regarding Date & Time
The time, date and time zone are set by the manufacturer prior to shipping. These should be confirmed upon installation. In
order to provide dayparting or special event programming, some discs require that the date and time be set. Should the
Daylight Savings time setting be set to Yes, the system clock with automatically adjust on the proper date.
