OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Beforeoperating, check the heating element, Teflon cover,
Teflon adhesive and sealing pad (silicone rubber).
MAINTENANCETIPS
1. Set the Power Switch to the ON position.
2. Choose either “Single-Wire”or “Double-Wire”sealing.
Single wire will utilize only one element to seal and
double wire will utilize both top and bottom elements to
seal your material.
3. Adjust the timer setting according to the thickness of the
sealing material. Note: Always start with the lowest
setting and gradually increase to the correct setting.
4. Place the object to be sealed.
5. Pull the handle down and seal.
6. Wait2-3 seconds to allow the seal to set and lift the
handle.
Always keep the sealing platformclean and remove any
residue found on the upper barrier (Teflon Cover) and
Pressing Pad (Silicone Rubber).
A good rule of thumb is to replace the bottom barrier tape
(TeflonAdhesive) when replacing the Heating Element.
The Teflon serves as a barrier between the metal seal
arm and the heating element. Never allow the element to
come in contact with the sealer arm as this will damage
the timer.
Be sure to turn OFF the power or unplug before replacing
any parts.
Clean the sealing platform with a dry cloth. Do not use
water or solvents. Use silicone spray.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER
Read all instructions before use. Save these instructions for later
use.
Followall warnings and instructions marked on the product.
Unplug this product from the power source beforecleaning and/or
changingany parts
Do not rest anything on the power cord. Do not place the machine
where the power cord may be stepped on or pulled.
Always keep out of reach of children and pets.
This sealer should only be in use with an operator in attendance.
Never insert clothing, hands, fingers between the sealing jaws of
sealers.
Never touch the heating elements with bare hands while the
sealer is pluggedinto a power source, or in operation, or just
finishedoperation. It will be HOT.
Be sure to check for worn parts before starting operation.
Do not operate with a damaged power cord or plug.
Always keep the unit clean. Do not use water. Siliconespray may
be used to clean the unit. Be sure the unit is unplugged from the
power source before cleaning.
Whenchanging blade (for sealers with cutters), be careful of the
sharp edge.
Whenchanging the teflonadhesive, be sure the entire surface
under the heating element is coveredwith a teflonadhesive.
Bend down the excess teflonadhesive on both ends. This
preventsthe heating element from breaking and the machinefrom
grounding.
Whenreplacing the fuse, be sure the exact voltageand ampere is
used.
Be sure to keep a record of your model number. Specifythis
number when ordering parts.
Whenreplacing any parts, be sure to mark down the exact
locationsof the connections.
