Inbody 230 & Raspberry Pi Setup Instructions
Step 1: Please check that you’ve received all of the following.
Raspberry Pi Power Adaptor
Gender Changer
USB to Null
Modem Adapter
EFFORT REWARDED.

Step 2: Connect USB-Serial Cable to Null Modem
Cable to Gender Changer as shown
Step 3: Connect USB-Serial Cable to USB Port of
Raspberry Pi (as seen here).

Step 4: Connect other end of connected cable run
(Gender Changer) to port on back of scales.
Step 5: Connect network cable to Raspberry Pi.
Step 6: Connect Power Adaptor to mains and to
Raspberry Pi.

Step 8: Tap the “right arrow” button to change
the settings menu to No. 5 “Interface”
Step 10: The setting should
have changed to the
“User Device” from Lookin’
Body
Step 11: Change the setting to
“Enable (USB)” and move the
cursor to COM1 (Serial)
Step 9: Move the cursor to the
right of Lookin’ Body to the
black squared area and press
the buttons in regular sequence
as follows:
9 > 6 > 3 > 8 > 7 > 4 > 5
> 4 > 1 > 2

Step 7: Press “setup” button

Now press Exit key on keypad to get back to home screen.
Setup is now complete and the scales are ready to use.
Step 12: Change the setting to
“User device”
