CAPITOLO 1: INFORMAZIONI
AVVERTENZA: I radiocomandi Storm sono spesso integrati in applicazioni più complesse. Consigliamo di dotare il sistema di un
arresto di emergenza cablato, ove ciò sia necessario
INSTALLAZIONE, CONNESSIONE E MONTAGGIO
◼ L'installazione di questo prodotto deve essere affidata esclusivamente a personale autorizzato o qualificato.
◼ Prima di collegare lo strumento, spegnere l'alimentazione del ricevitore.
◼ Controllare che l'alimentazione sia collegata correttamente al morsetto di collegamento.
◼ Per utilizzare le funzioni di sicurezza del sistema, usare i relè di arresto nei circuiti di sicurezza dell'oggetto che si desidera
controllare.
◼ Non utilizzare cavi danneggiati. I cavi non devono essere vaganti.
◼Il ricevitore resiste alle normali condizioni atmosferiche, ma deve essere protetto da condizioni estreme. Il ricevitore, inoltre,
non deve essere soggetto alla pressione meccanica dell'acqua, ad acqua ad alta pressione o a simili condizioni avverse.
◼ Non installare il prodotto in aree soggette a forti vibrazioni.
◼ Evitare di installare il ricevitore in un luogo in cui potrebbe essere soggetto a elevati flussi d'acqua e/o a precipitazioni
abbondanti.
◼ Posizionare il ricevitore in un luogo ben protetto da vento, vapore e umidità.

UTENTE
◼ L'accesso e l'utilizzo del trasmettitore devono essere consentiti esclusivamente al personale qualificato.
◼ Assicurarsi che l'utente si attenga alle istruzioni.
◼ Assicurarsi che l'utente abbia raggiunto l'età minima prevista nel Paese di appartenenza per adoperare le apparecchiature.
◼ Assicurarsi che l'utente non sia sotto l'influenza di stupefacenti, alcol o medicinali.
◼ Assicurarsi che l'utente non lasci il trasmettitore senza supervisione.
◼ Assicurarsi che l'utente spenga sempre il trasmettitore quando non è in uso.
◼ Assicurarsi che l'utente abbia una buona visuale globale dell'area di lavoro.
MANUTENZIONE
◼ Usare il pulsante di arresto per avviare il trasmettitore e per spegnerlo non appena possibile.
◼ Quando si ricevono messaggi di errore, è indispensabile scoprirne le cause.
◼ Se il pulsante di arresto subisce danni meccanici, contattare immediatamente l'assistenza.
◼ Per la riparazione e la manutenzione del prodotto, contattare l'assistenza.
◼ Trascrivere i numeri di serie e i codici ID dei ricevitori e dei trasmettitori usati.
◼ Non registrare i trasmettitori su ricevitori con cui non vengono utilizzati.
◼ Conservare le istruzioni di sicurezza per riferimento futuro.
Questo simbolo indica che i prodotti elettrici e elettronici non utilizzati non devono essere smaltiti come rifiuto
domestico. L'Unione Europea ha implementato un sistema di raccolta e riciclo del quale sono responsabili i

LATO ANTERIORE DEL TRASMETTITORE
LATO POSTERIORE DEL TRASMETTITORE
*L'interruttore on/off sulla parte posteriore del trasmettitore interrompe l'alimentazione dalla batteria. In posizione off il
trasmettitore non può essere avviato. Quando il trasmettitore viene trasportato in aereo, l'interruttore on/off deve essere in
posizione off. L'interruttore non deve essere usato come pulsante on/off per il trasmettitore.

AVVIARE IL TRASMETTITORE
Avviare il trasmettitore premendo qualsiasi pulsante sul trasmettitore. Il LED superiore s'illumina (verde se la capacità della
batteria è buona, rosso se la capacità è bassa).

Il trasmettitore si spegne quando non è premuto alcun pulsante su di esso.

AVVERTENZA: Mantenere registrati nei ricevitori solo i trasmettitori che s'intende utilizzare.
NOTA! Per stabilire un collegamento radio tra il trasmettitore e il ricevitore, entrambi devono essere impostati sulla stessa
modalità radio.
1.Premere il pulsante Function sul ricevitore. Il LED superiore si accende (rosso).
2. Premere il pulsante Select del ricevitore. Tutti i LED dei relè s'illuminano in rosso.
3.Premere i pulsanti 1 e 2. Tenere premuto. Tutti i LED dei relè s'illuminano in rosso. I LED dei relè lampeggiano due volte.
4.Rilasciare i pulsanti 1 e 2. I LED dei relè lampeggiano una volta (rosso). Il trasmettitore è registrato.
Se non viene trovato alcun trasmettitore entro 10 secondi, il ricevitore passa al funzionamento normale.

1. Premere il pulsante Function sul ricevitore. Il LED superiore si accende (rosso).
2. Premere il pulsante Select del ricevitore. Tenere premuto (almeno per 4 secondi). Tutti i LED dei relè s'illuminano in rosso.
Tutti i LED dei relè si spengono.
3. Rilasciare il pulsante Select del ricevitore. Tutti i trasmettitori vengono cancellati dal ricevitore. Se il LED di funzione lampeggia
in rosso, significa che uno o più trasmettitori sono ancora registrati sul ricevitore.
SPEGNIMENTO AUTOMATICO
NOTA! Solo per la modalità radio continua.
NOTA! Il tempo di spegnimento automatico non può essere modificato dal trasmettitore.
Lo spegnimento automatico può risparmiare la batteria spegnendo automaticamente il trasmettitore in seguito ad un periodo di
inattività preimpostato.
Il tempo di spegnimento automatico del trasmettitore è impostato di default su 3 minuti.
LOAD SELECT MODE
NOTA! Il Load select mode non può essere modificato dal trasmettitore.
Il Load select mode è disattivato di default (Load select mode 0).
MODALITÀ RADIO
NOTA! La modalità radio non può essere modificata dal trasmettitore.
NOTA! Per stabilire un collegamento radio tra il trasmettitore e il ricevitore, entrambi devono essere impostati sulla stessa
modalità radio.
Questo trasmettitore è impostato di default sulla modalità radio discontinua. Il trasmettitore comincia a trasmettere non appena
vengono inserite le batterie e viene premuto un pulsante del trasmettitore. La trasmissione radio si conclude quando sono rilasciati
tutti i pulsanti del trasmettitore.

Si noti che alcune funzioni sono possibili soltanto quando i prodotti trasmettono continuamente. Quelle funzioni sono
contrassegnate con il testo: "Solo per la modalità radio continua".
CAPITOLO 4: GUIDA PER LE BATTERIE
AVVERTENZA: Non ricaricare le batterie. I tentativi di ricarica possono determinare una rottura o fughe di liquidi pericolosi che
finiranno per corrodere l'apparecchiatura.
NOTA! I componenti elettronici e le batterie devono essere differenziati prima dello smaltimento. Accertarsi che i componenti
elettronici o le batterie non vengano smaltiti con i rifiuti domestici.
NOTA! Quando la carica residua della batteria è a circa il 10%, il LED superiore s'illumina in rosso.
PRECAUZIONI PER LE BATTERIE
Osservare le seguenti avvertenze generali relative alla batteria:
◼ Poiché contengono sostanze infiammabili come litio o altri solventi organici, le batterie possono causare riscaldamento, rottura
o ignizione.
◼ Se la batteria viene sostituita con una di tipo non corretto, può sussistere il rischio di esplosione.
◼ Non mettere in corto circuito, smontare, deformare o riscaldare le batterie.
◼ Non tentare mai di caricare una batteria visibilmente danneggiata o congelata.
◼ Tenere le batterie fuori dalla portata dei bambini. Se un bambino ingerisce una batteria, rivolgersi immediatamente ad un
medico.
◼ Non eseguire saldature direttamente sulla batteria.
◼ Quando si smaltiscono le batterie, isolarne i terminali + e - con nastro isolante/protettivo. Non riporre più batterie nello stesso
sacchetto di plastica.
◼ Quando vengono smaltite impropriamente, le batterie possono andare in corto circuito e surriscaldarsi, bruciarsi o prendere
fuoco.
◼ Conservare in un luogo fresco. Tenere le batterie lontane dalla luce solare diretta, dalle alte tem-perature e dagli eccessi di
umidità.
◼ Non gettare le batterie nel fuoco.

Contemporaneamente si accenderanno uno o più LED relè. Segnare i LED relè che si accendono e contattare Mz Electronic per
l'assistenza.

NOTA! La modalità radio è determinata dalla Operating mode selezionata. Per stabilire un collegamento radio tra il trasmettitore
e il ricevitore, entrambi devono essere impostati sulla stessa modalità radio.
Questo ricevitore è impostato di default sulla modalità radio discontinua.
Si noti che alcune impostazioni si possono selezionare soltanto quando i prodotti trasmettono continuamente. Tali impostazioni
sono contrassegnate con il testo: "Solo per la modalità radio continua".

NOTA! Non è possibile attivare/disattivare la funzione di logout nel ricevitore.
Per questo ricevitore la funzione di logout è disattivata di default.
Affinché la funzione di logout funzioni, il ricevitore deve essere impostato sulla modalità radio continua.
FUNZIONI RELÈ
FUNZIONI RELÈ
Questo ricevitore è impostato di default sulla funzionalità momentanea del relè. Il relè è attivo mentre si preme un pulsante su
un trasmettitore: se il pulsante viene rilasciato il relè si disattiva. Se un relè viene impostato sul blocco significa che il relè diventa
attivo ogni volta che si preme un pulsante e resta attivato finché il pulsante non viene premuto di nuovo.
Funzioni momentanea o di blocco del relè
NOTA! Le opzioni delle impostazioni dipendono dalla modalità Operating mode selezionata. Se si seleziona Operating mode 0,
queste impostazioni non sono applicabili.
NOTA! Prima di scegliere queste impostazioni, verificare di avere disattivato i relè di arresto!
1. Premere per due volte il pulsante Function. S'illumina il LED 8 (giallo). Tutti i LED dei relè s'illuminano in rosso.
2. Premere il pulsante Select per entrare nel menu impostazioni per passare alla funzionalità dei relè. I LED dei relè lampeggiano
(rosso) per indicare che, per i relè corrispondenti, è possibile impostare un blocco o una funzionalità momentanea.
3. Premere il pulsante Function impostare blocco o la funzionalità momentanea:
LED 8 (giallo) spento = funzionalità momentanea del relè
LED 8 (giallo) acceso = funzionalità di blocco del relè
4. Premere il pulsante Select per passare al relè disponibile successivo. Dopo essere passato attraverso tutti i relè disponibili, il
ricevitore esce dal menu impostazioni e si riavvia.
Selezione di Operating mode
NOTA! Andare alle pagine Operating modes per vedere quali sono le Operating modes disponibili quando la trasmissione è in
modalità radio continua/discontinua. Le modalità Operating mode non funzionano per entrambe le modalità radio.
1. Premere per 4 volte il pulsante Function. S'illumina il LED 10 (arancione).
2. Premere il pulsante Select per vedere quale Operating mode è impostata.
I LED relè (rosso) s'illuminano in base alla tabella seguente; il LED 10 lampeggia in arancione.
NOTA! Il primo relè della fila è il n. 5. Il secondo relè è il n. 1.
3. Premere il pulsante Function per passare alla Operating mode disponibile successiva.
4. Premere il pulsante Select per selezionare la modalità Operating mode.

Il menu Operating mode sul ricevitore si chiude e il ricevitore si riavvia.

CAPITOLO 7: TERMINI FREQUENTI
Configuration ID
Codice numerico salvato sia nell'unità trasmettitore, sia in quella ricevitore. L'unità ricevitore può essere controllata soltanto da
un trasmettitore con il configuration ID corretto.
Modalità radio continua
In modalità radio continua l'unità trasmettitore trasmette in modo continuo quando è accesa.
Custom ID
Codice numerico salvato nell'unità trasmettitore usato per sostituire il codice ID unico. Una o diverse unità trasmettitore possono
essere configurate con lo stesso Custom ID e il ricevitore le riconoscerà tutte come la stessa unità trasmettitore.
Modalità radio discontinua
In modalità radio discontinua l'unità trasmettitore trasmette quando è accesso e viene premuto un pulsante. La trasmissione viene
interrotta quando sono rilasciati tutti i pulsanti del trasmettitore.
Relè di funzione
Relè standard controllato dai pulsanti sull'unità trasmettitore.
Asservimento
Previene il funzionamento di un componente quando un altro componente sta funzionando in un modo particolare.
Funzionalità di blocco del relè
Il relè diventa attivo ogni volta in cui si preme un pulsante e rimane attivo fino a quando il pulsante non viene nuovamente
premuto.
Load select mode
In un'unità trasmettitore sono salvate una o più modalità di selezione carico. Attivando una Load select mode specifica si avrà un
gruppo di relè preselezionati sull'unità ricevitore, che possono essere controllati dall'unità trasmettitore.
Funzionalità momentanea del relè
Il relè sarà attivo solo mentre viene premuto un pulsante sul trasmettitore. Quando il pulsante viene rilasciato, il relè non sarà più
attivo.
Relè di marcia
Il relè attivo quando l'unità ricevitore sta funzionando ed è stato creato un col-legamento radio, indipendentemente da qualsiasi
altro relè attivo.
Operating mode
In un'unità ricevitore sono salvate una o più modalità operative. Ogni Operating mode descrive quali relè sull'unità ricevitore sono
controllati quando vengono premuti pulsanti specifici sull'unità trasmettitore.

ID di sostituzione
Codice numerico usato per identificare il trasmettitore durante la procedura di sostituzione.
Relè di arresto
Relè legato alla sicurezza controllato dal pulsante di arresto sul ricevitore. Volto all'interruzione dell'alimentazione di corrente per
un'applicazione di sicurezza con-trollata dall'unità ricevitore.
Relè di funzionamento
Relè attivo quando qualsiasi altro relè sull'unità ricevitore è attivo.
Controllo posizione zero
Funzione di sicurezza che garantisce che i pulsanti/joystick potenzialmente attivi all'avvio o collegamenti radio persi/trovati siano
nella posizione zero prima che il sistema possa essere usato per evitare movimenti non pianificati dell'oggetto con-trollato.

I prodotti sono coperti da garanzia per eventuali difetti di materiali, costruzione e fabbricazione. Durante il periodo di garanzia,
Mz Electronic può sostituire il prodotto o riparare le parti difettose. Gli interventi in garanzia devono essere eseguiti da un centro
di servizio autorizzato indicato da Mz Electronic.

◼ Componenti di consumo
◼ Prodotti che sono stati sottoposti a modifiche non autorizzate

Manutenzione:
◼ Le riparazioni e la manutenzione devono essere eseguite da personale qualificato
◼ Utilizzare solo parti di ricambio di Mz Electronic
◼ Contattare il proprio rappresentante o il servizio clienti se si necessita di un qualsiasi tipo di assistenza
◼ Conservare il prodotto in un luogo asciutto e pulito
◼ Tenere i contatti e le antenne puliti
◼ Togliere la polvere utilizzando un panno pulito leggermente inumidito

CHAPTER 2: INFORMATIONS
Read all instructions and warnings carefully before mounting, installing and configuring the products.
These instructions have been published by Mz Electronic and are not subject to any guarantee. The instructions may be withdrawn
or revised by Mz Electronic at any time and without further notice.
Corrections and additions will be added to the latest version of the instructions.
IMPORTANT! These instructions are intended for installers. The instructions containing information about the installation and
configuration of the radio remotecontrol unit on the machine are not intended to be passed on to the end user. Only information
that is needed to operate the machine correctly by radio remote control may be passed on to the end user.
Mz Electronic remote controls are often built into wider applications. Always refer to the applicable local regulations for
installation and safety requirements relating to cranes, hoists or other material handling and/or lifting equipments using Mz
Electronic products, e.g.:
◼ applicable local and industrial standards and requirements,
◼ applicable occupational health and safety regulations,
◼ applicable safety rules and procedures for the factory where the equipment is being used,
◼ user and safety manuals or instructions of the manufacturer of the equipment where Mz Electronic remote control systems
are installed. Mz Electronic instructions do not include or address the specific instructions and safety warnings of the end product
manufacturer.
Carefully read through the following safety instructions before proceeding with the installation, configuration, operation or
maintenance of the product. Failure to follow these warnings could result in serious injury and property damage.
Installing, connecting and mounting
•This radio system must not be used in areas where there is a risk of explosion.
•Mz Electronic remote controls are often built into wider applications. Those systems should be equipped with:
•a wired emergency stop where necessary.
•a brake.
•an audible or visual warning signal.
•Always switch off all electrical power from the equipment before installation procedure.
•Only licensed or qualified personnel should be permitted to install the product.
•The receiver should be installed well away from wind, damp and water. It must be securely attached and located where
it will not be hit by e.g. any moving parts.
•To utilize the safety of the system, use the stop relays in the safety circuitry of the object that you want to control.
•When the equipment controlled by the receiver's standard relays is connected via the stop relays, make sure that the
maximum current through the stop relays is still within the specifications.
•Avoid registering transmitters in receivers where they are not being used
Operation
Only qualified personnel should be permitted to access the transmitter and operate the equipment.
•Make sure that the user satisfies the age requirements in your country for operating the equipment.
•Make sure that the user is not under the influence of drugs, alcohol and medications.
•Make sure that the user knows and follows operating and maintenance instructions as well as all applicable safety
procedures and requirements.
•The user should:
•always test the transmitter stop button before operating it. Press the stop button then twist and pull it out. This test
should be done on each shift, without a load.
•never use a transmitter if the stop button is mechanically damaged. Contact your supervisor/representative for service
immediately.
•never let the transmitter unattended always switch the transmitter off when not in use. Store in a safe place.
•keep a clear view of the work area at all times.

◼ Keep the safety instructions for future reference. Always download the configuration instructions from our website for the
latest available version.
◼ Always contact your representative for service and maintenance work on the product.
◼ Write down the serial numbers/ ID codes of the receivers and transmitters used.
◼ If error messages are shown, it is very important to find out what caused them. Contact your representative for help.
◼ The functionality of the stop button should be tested at least after every 200 hours’ use. Test the stop button by pressing it
and pulling it out.
◼ If the stop button is mechanically damaged, do not use the transmitter. Contact your representative for service immediately.
◼ Before maintenance intervention on any remote controlled equipments
CHAPTER 2: TRANSMITTER
TRANSMITTER FRONT
TRANSMITTER BACK
The I/O switch on the back of the transmitter interrupts the power supply from the battery.
When in the O/off position, the transmitter cannot be started unless the charger plug is
connected. IMPORTANT! When the transmitter is to be transported by air, the I/O switch must
be in the O/off position.
NOTE! The I/O switch should not be used as an on/off button for the transmitter. To start and
stop the transmitter, use the stop button.

CHAPTER 3: OPERATOR GUIDE
Do not perform this action when the receiver is in a session with another transmitter. The radio communication may be
interrupted or broken.
NOTE! Only keep the transmitters that you intend to use registered in the receivers.
NOTE! To establish a radio link between the transmitter and the receiver, both units must be set to the same radio mode.
1. Press the receiver Function button. The function LED lights (red).
2. Press the receiver Select button. The relay LEDs light (red).
3. Press buttons 1 and 2. Keep pressed. The relay LEDs light (red). The relay LEDs flash (red) 2 times.
4. Release buttons 1 and 2. The relay LEDs flash (red) 1 time.
The transmitter is registered.
If no transmitter is found within approximately 10 seconds, the receiver exits to normal operation.
START THE TRANSMITTER
1. Start the transmitter by pressing any button on the transmitter.

The top LED lights (green when the battery capacity is good, red when the battery capacity is poor).
SWITCH THE TRANSMITTER OFF ITCH THE TRANSMITTER OFF
1. The transmitter switches off when no transmitter button is pressed.
RADIO MODE
NOTE! You cannot change the radio mode from the transmitter. Contact your representative for assistance.
NOTE! To establish a radio link between the transmitter and the receiver, both units must be set to the same radio mode.
This transmitter is set to discontinuous radio mode by default. The transmitter starts transmitting as soon as the batteries are
inserted and any transmitter button is pressed. Radio transmission ends when all transmitter buttons are released
AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN
NOTE! Only for continuous radio mode.
NOTE! You cannot change the automatic shutdown time from the transmitter.
Automatic shutdown can save battery capacity by automatically switching the transmitter off following a preset period of
inactivity. The transmitter automatic shutdown time is set to 3 minutes by default.
ERASE ALL TRANSMITTERS FROM THE RECEIVER
1. Press the receiver Function button.The function LED lights (red).
2. Press the receiver Select button. Keep pressed (at least 4 seconds).All relay LEDs light (red). All relay LEDs go out.
3. Release the receiver Select button. All transmitters are erased from the receiver. If the function LED flashes (red), one or more
transmitters are still registered in the receiver.
LOAD SELECT MODE
NOTE! You cannot change the Load select mode from the transmitter. Load select mode is deactivated by default (Load select
mode 0).

BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
Carefully read through the following safety instructions and warnings before using, charging or disposing of the batteries.
Batteries contain flammable substances such as lithium or other organic solvents, which may result in overheating, rupture or
combustion. Failure to read and follow the below instructions may result in fire, personal injury and damage to property if charged
or used improperly.
Handling and storage
•Risk of explosion if battery is replaced with a battery of an incorrect type.
•Do not short circuit, disassemble, deform or heat batteries.
•Never attempt to charge a visibly damaged or frozen battery.
•Do not use or charge the battery if it appears to be leaking, deformed or damaged in any way.
•Do not solder directly onto batteries.
•Do not leave the battery in the charger once it is fully charged.
•Store in a cool location. Keep batteries away from direct sunlight, high temperature, and high humidity.
•Immediately discontinue use of the battery if, while using, charging, or storing the bat-tery, the battery emits an unusual
smell, feels hot, changes color, changes shape, or appears abnormal in any other way.
•Keep batteries out of reach of small children. Should a child swallow a battery, consult a physician immediately.
Disposal

When discarding batteries, insulate the + and - terminals of batteries with insulating/ masking tape.
◼ Do not place multiple batteries in the same plastic bag.
◼ Do not incinerate or dispose of batteries in fire.
◼ Do not place used batteries in the household waste. Dispose of used batteries in accordance with the applicable regulations
and legal requirements.
◼ Batteries that have been disposed of incorrectly may short circuit, causing them to become hot, burst or ignite.
BATTERY INFORMATION
Do not recharge the batteries. Attempts to recharge may cause rupture or hazardous liquids to leak, which will corrode the
equipment.
NOTE! Electronics and batteries must be physically separated before disposal. Make sure that electronics or batteries are not
disposed of in household waste.
NOTE! When approximately 10 % of battery capacity remains, the top LED lights red.

1. Remove the back of the transmitter by
unscrewing the 5 screws.
2. Replace the 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries. Use
alkaline batteries for
optimal performance.
3. Screw the back of the transmitter into place.
