button’ simultaneously. Red indicator flashes twice unless

Decrease microphone sensitivity
when background noise is loud, for
example, in windy conditions.
Additional features
Red indicator light flashes 4 times, every 20 seconds. Battery low warning.
Communication is impeded by wind noise or loud
background noises picked up by microphone. Try to reduce microphone sensitivity and speak closer
to microphone.
Power on red indicator light changes from reduced
intensity to full intensity. Your unit is out of range from all others, or all others in
your group are inactive.
Recommendations and Tips
Power up all units in the group in relative close proximity (15 to 25 feet) and check that communication is established
before moving further apart.
If other units cannot hear you, but you can hear other(s) clearly, your unit is on mute. Press ‘UP button’ (approx. 3
seconds) until green indicator light flashes once.
For mariners, have spare earbud and microphone assemblies, and batteries. With proper installation, the Yapalong
3000 is waterproof, but the microphone and earbud are not. Be prepare to replace microphone and earbud if
needed.
For non-critical applications, unit may be used until operation stops, regardless of the battery-low warning.
To maximize radio range, adjust and experiment with different mounting positions; i.e. on arm, front or back of body
by neck strap, or waist. As a general rule, the less blocking of radio frequency wave the better for the
communication.
Each group and unit has its unique ID number. This ensures privacy and prevents interference from other systems.
