receive and store documents on a variety of media?
The NEFAX 797 offers a wide range of capabilities including: digital faxing, printing,
scanning, network faxing, IP, email, and an internet document solution. It is ideally
suited for a corporate workgroup, a satellite office or small office and offers an
18-ppm digital engine and full 11x17 inch (ledger) size capabilities. It is perfect for
users who require high definition images and the ability to send, receive and store
document information via multiple technologies.
The NEFAX 797’s beautiful design provides a large touch screen that makes
operation simple. Its easy access and wingless design offers accessibility and
provides convenient space usage.
Thanks to its large touch screen (a feature normally found only on high-end console
units), the NEFAX 797 is intuitive to operate. Because all of the unit’s features are
available using the touch screen, it has a short learning curve and helps users
make fewer mistakes and be more effective. Also, its unique tilting panel enables
users to customize the panel position for maximum comfort. Additionally, the unit
offers operation features that are quickly accessible and an easy to use QWERTY
keyboard for email addressing and naming functions.
Powerful and Reliable
The automatic duplex document feeder offers fast input and high resolution output,
which provides high-quality image scanning and high resolution documents and
files.
The NEFAX 797 uses self contained consumables to make replacing toner and
consumables easy and clean. Front access and enclosed units enable you to
replace the items quickly and simply.
With up to a 1,750 sheet capacity, the NEC NEFAX 797 includes quick changing
universal cassettes that hold up to 11 x17 inch ledger-sized paper. Change the
paper size, and the unit automatically recognizes the paper size loaded. With
four paper sources, the unit can handle a wide range of paper sizes for your
requirements.

Powerful Communications Facsimile Hub
The NEFAX 797 doubles faxing capacity by offering up to two fax ports that can
simultaneously send and receive faxes. It provides the highest fax speeds available through
super G3 at 33.6K bps with JBIG coding and a less than one second per page automatic
document feeder. Fax functions are enhanced by the system’s integration with network
applications. Incoming and outgoing faxes can be automatically archived as .pdf or .tiff files,
and faxes can be routed to a user’s email. Memory lock timers enable users to automatically
set the unit to store incoming faxes in memory at specified times for security purposes.

Thanks to network integration, everyone in your office can connect to the NEFAX 797 and print. This available printer option comes with
PCL6 networked printing. An additional option provides Adobe Systems genuine PostScript-3 for PC operating systems.
Enjoy Full-featured Network Applications
The optional Ei Network Applications Kit offers a suite of document scanning and communication integration solutions for your
network. It comes complete with network scanning in file formats including TIFF and PDF. Now you can import and convert your paper
documents to digital files and communicate all your information via file data.
Scanning options include:
• Scan-to-Email: Email integration enables you to email a paper document right from the NEFAX 797. The easy to use QWERTY
keyboard provides a way to enter information, and the one touch key makes sending emails easy.
• Scan-to-File (IP): Scan documents to .pdf or .tiff files with the touch of a button. Network file scanning offers another way to
convert documents to file data. With a resolution up to 600x600 dpi and a fast, high volume feeder, importing scanned files is fast
and effective.
Data communication options include:
• Network Fax: Send faxes from your desktop as easily as you print them.
An easy to use pop-up menu offers everyone on your network the ability to
fax directly from their desktops.
• IP Communication: Send your documents over your IP network using high
resolution, high speed and security for your intranet communications.
• Forward/Archive: Save your communications TX/RX as files or emails to
individual PCs or a group of PCs. Automatically archive all communications
for security, validation and storage purposes.
• Internet Fax: Transmit and receive faxes over the internet, eliminating
phone line usage costs.
• SIP-Fax: Send documents on your VoIP network easily using the compatible
NEC SIP Server on the SV7000 and NEC SIP-Fax adaptor. It provides high
speed and low cost alternatives.
• IT Series Agent: This networked management system provides the ability to
program and manage your unit from your desktop.
