17-inch color TFT LCD monitor. The MultiSync LCD1700NX monitor provi es flicker-

The MultiSync LCD1700NX is a 17-inch TFT LCD monitor that is intelligent,

SCREEN POSITION ADJUSTMENT
In or er to optimize the best viewing position, you can a just the tilt of the monitor by
using both of your han s to hol the e ges of the monitor as shown in the figure below.

CONNECTING THE POWER CORD
•Check first to make sure that the power cor you use is the correct type require for
your area.
•This monitor has a universal AC a apter that allows operation in 100-240 V AC
voltage area. No user-a justment is require .
•Plug one en of the power cor to the AC a apter, plug another en to a proper AC
outlet.
•For units to be use at 120 V AC:
Use the supplie power cor or a UL Liste Cor Set, Type SPT-2 wire an plug
rate 7 A/125 V.
•For units to be use at 220-240 V AC.
Use a Cor Set consisting of H03VVH2-F cor an plug rate 2.5 A, 250 V. The

FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE, PLEASE NOTE THE
FOLLOWING WHEN SETTING UP AND USING
THE MULTISYNC® LCD COLOR MONITOR:
• DO NOT OPEN THE MONITOR. There are no user serviceable parts insi e an opening
or removing covers may expose you to angerous shock hazar s or other risks. Refer all
servicing to qualifie service personnel.
•Do not spill any liqui s into the cabinet or use your monitor near water.
•Do not insert objects of any kin into the cabinet slots, as they may touch angerous
voltage points, which can be harmful or fatal or may cause electric shock, fire or equipment
failure.
•Do not place any heavy objects on the power cor . Damage to the cor may cause shock or
fire.
•Do not place this pro uct on a sloping or unstable cart, stan or table, as the monitor may
fall, causing serious amage to the monitor.
•When operating the MultiSync LCD monitor with its AC 125-240V power supply, use a
power supply cor that matches the power supply voltage of the AC power outlet being
use . The power supply cor you use must have been approve by an comply with the

•In UK, use a BS-approve power cor with mol e plug having a black (5A) fuse installe
for use with this monitor.

CORRECT PLACEMENT AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE MONITOR
CAN REDUCE EYE, SHOULDER AND NECK FATIGUE. CHECK THE
FOLLOWING WHEN YOU POSITION THE MONITOR:
•For optimum performance, allow 20 minutes for
warm-up.
•A just the monitor height so that the top of the screen
is at or slightly below eye level. Your eyes shoul look
slightly ownwar when viewing the mi le of the
screen.
• Position your monitor no closer than 16 inches an no
further away than 26 inches from your eyes. The
optimal istance is 19 inches.
•Rest your eyes perio ically by focusing on an object at
least 20 feet away. Blink often.
•Position the monitor at a 90° angle to win ows an other light sources to minimize

your screen.

your system also supports DDC protocol. The DDC (Display Data Channel) is a
communication protocol through which the monitor automatically informs the host system

INSTALLATION
To install the monitor to your host system, please follow the steps as given below:
Steps
1. Open the connector cover first.
2. An then open the cable cover.
3. Connect Vi eo Cable
a. Make sure both the monitor an computer are powere -OFF.
b. Digital: Connect the DVI signal cable to the connector of the computer first, then
to the monitor.
Analog: Connect the 15-pin mini D-SUB signal cable to the connector of the
computer first, then to the monitor.
4. Connect power cor
Connect the power cor to the monitor, then to a properly groun e AC outlet.
5. Assemble the cable cover.
6. Cover the connector cover.
7. Power-ON Monitor an Computer
Power-ON the monitor first, then power-ON the computer.
This sequence is very important.

NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display of America, Inc. (hereinafter “NMD-A”) warrants this Pro uct to
be free from efects in material an workmanship an , subject to the con itions set forth below, agrees
to repair or replace (at NMD-A’s sole option) any part of the enclose unit which proves efective for
a perio of three (3) years from the ate of first consumer purchase. Spare parts are warrante for ninety
(90) ays. Replacement parts or unit may be new or refurbishe an will meet specifications of the
original parts or unit.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights an you may also have other rights, which vary from state
to state. This warranty is limite to the original purchaser of the Pro uct an is not transferable. This
warranty covers only NMD-A-supplie components. Service require as a result of thir party
components is not covere un er this warranty. In or er to be covere un er this warranty, the Pro uct
must have been purchase in the U.S.A. or Cana a by the original purchaser. This warranty only covers
Pro uct istribution in the U.S.A. or Cana a by NMD-A. No warranty service is provi e outsi e of
the U.S.A. or Cana a. Proof of Purchase will be require by NMD-A to substantiate ate of purchase.
Such proof of purchase must be an original bill of sale or receipt containing name an a ress of seller,
purchaser, an the serial number of the pro uct.
It shall be your obligation an expense to have the Pro uct shippe , freight prepai , or elivere to the
authorize reseller from whom it was purchase or other facility authorize by NMD-A to ren er the
services provi e hereun er in either the original package or a similar package affor ing an equal egree
of protection. All Pro ucts returne to NMD-A for service MUST have prior approval, which may be
obtaine by calling 1-800-632-4662. The Pro uct shall not have been previously altere , repaire , or
service by anyone other than a service facility authorize by NMD-A to ren er such service, the serial
number of the pro uct shall not have been altere or remove . In or er to be covere by this warranty
the Pro uct shall not have been subjecte to isplaying of fixe images for long perio s of time resulting
in image persistence (afterimage effects), acci ent, misuse or abuse or operate contrary to the
instructions containe in the User’s Manual. Any such con itions will voi this warranty.
NMD-A SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL,
OR OTHER TYPES OF DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF ANY NMD-A PRODUCT
