STORAGE
If the units are to be kept for assembly or stored, they should not be removed from their
packages and stored in their packages.
They should be stacked horizontally side-by-side. The units should not be stacked.
During storage, the units should be protected from external weather conditions and direct
solar radiation and should not be placed on a damp and wet ground. The unit should be
stored with its original packaging. The packaging should be made with wooden, cardboard,
folio, polystyrene foam materials. If it has been stored for longer than 3 months, the final
state of the package should be inspected during transportation. The packaging materials
must be disposed without harming the nature in line with the local laws.
LAYOUT AND INSTALLATION OF THE UNIT

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Disconnect the unit from the mains power before the cleaning.
Regular maintenance will prevent unexpected breakdowns and performance losses in the
unit.
The filters become dirty over time, reducing air flow and causing performance loss. There-
fore, it is important to replace or clean the filters regularly.
General Cleaning
Always disconnect the unit from power supply before cleaning.
The external body of the unit may be cleaned with a slightly moist cloth as required. Abra-
sive cleaning agents should not be used.
Attention should be paid to prevent the moisture from reaching the interior surface of the
unit.

NEFFES 1200ST is a trademark. 11
Filters
The unit must not be run without filter. The filters must be completely attached to the unit
after a cleaning or replacement operation.
The filters must be replaced by the service.
Always disconnect the unit from power supply before a filter cleaning or replacement oper-
ation.
Always use protective gloves and mask when replacing the filters.
Do not dispose the filters with domestic wastes. The waste filters must be disposed safely.
Ask for help from our service teams for necessary technical support.
Fine Filters: When the fine filter replacement indicator is
on, the filter should be replaced.
Time to filters to get dirty may vary by the environment
where it is used and the frequency of use.
Disconnect the unit from power supply, open the front door
and the remove the filter by pulling it to yourself.
In time, dust or foreign matter accumulates on the filter,
and these materials may be harmful to human health.
Therefore, please use the personal protective equipment
specified in this manual during the filter replacement.
HEPA Filter: When the HEPA filter replacement indicator is
on, the filter should be replaced.
Time to filters to get dirty may vary by the environment
where it is used and the frequency of use.
Unplug the unit, open the front door, detach the HEPA filter
from the slide, hold it from the front side and remove it from
the filter housing by pulling it back as shown in the figure.
Insert the new filter in the housing. Then, close the front
door.
Since HEPA filters trap viruses and bacteria, the used ones
may contain harmful particles. After the filters are removed
using necessary protective equipment, they should be put
in a trash bag which should be tightly sealed. Then, this trash bag should be put in another
trash bag and tightly sealed. The date and time of this process should be written on the bag
with a non-erasable pen. After 72 hours, the bag containing the filter can be disposed with
domestic wastes. However, if the filters are not subjected to this process, they should be
regarded as medical waste and disposed accordingly. Make sure that the new HEPA filter
is properly fit in the filter housing. Otherwise, the unit will not operate properly. The junked
filters should be disposed properly and safely.

12 NEFFES 1200ST Air Purifier User Manual
Sound isolation: The sound isolation cassettes must be cleaned within the scope of
periodic maintenance. The silencer sets shown with numbers 8 and 9 in Figure-1 can be
removed by pulling back. The front silencer numbered 3 can be removed by loosening the
three M6 bolts under the cassette with a ten mm wrench. During cleaning, avoid contacting
the sound isolation sponge with any liquid (water, detergent solution, etc.), clean it with
gentle air flow. Do not use compressed air. Compressed air may deform the sound isolation
surface by breaking of parti-
cles from the surface.
Fan Maintenance and
Disassembly: In case of any
fault or need of maintenance
on the unit fan, you need to
remove the fan group from
its slides and demount the
fan silencer numbered 3
