Network Thermostat NetX X5-CFA Manual

This NetX X5-CFA Operator Menu Guide is a companion to the
NetX X5-CFA Installation Manual. (Part Number #240292) This document will
guide you through the hidden Operator Menu that allows you to congure
settings regular users are not allowed to access.
USING THE MENU
The Dot Matrix Display will provide feedback on the Operator Menu
conguration and selected options. The Up Button Jand Down Button K
are used to select parameters while the LEFT ARROW L(Back Button) and
RIGHT ARROW M(Accept button) are used to accept settings and navigate
through the menu. At any time you can use the CANCEL BUTTON Ito
return to normal operation.
STEP 1 ACCESSING THE HIDDEN OPERATOR MENU
To access the menu, press and hold a hidden button for 5 seconds. The
hidden button is located on the bottom left of the faceplate display. (See
diagram below)

STEP 2 UNLOCK THE THERMOSTAT
By default, the NetX X5-CFA comes locked from the factory. you can
temporarily bypass the Lock Screen by entering the 4-digit PIN 2697 (‘cows’
on a telephone keypad).
The Dot Matrix area then displays Enter PIN: 0 0 0 0, use the Up Jand Down
KButtons to select the rst digit in the pin code. Press the Accept Button M
(Right Arrow) to Enter the rst digit. Repeat for the next three digits.
After entering the correct PIN, the settings listed below can be adjusted
using the menu. The values are stored by tapping the Accept Button, or by
allowing the display to ‘time out’ by not pressing any buttons for 15 seconds.
The screen will automatically re-lock when you exit the operator menu at the
end or if you press the cancel button while in the menu.
CWARNING: If you enter the incorrect PIN, Wrong PIN will display in the
Dot Matrix display. After 3 wrong attempts, the thermostat will return to the
main screen and will not allow another attempt for 5 minutes.

°F OR °C TEMPERATURE DISPLAY:
Default °F (Fahrenheit) Select between °F (Fahrenheit) or °C (Celsius)
temperature display.
OCC (OCCUPIED) COOL SETPOINT:
Default 73˚F (23˚C) Use the Up Jand Down KButtons to adjust the OCC
Cool Setpoint. The allowable range is 60˚F to 108˚F (16˚C to 42˚C).
OCC (OCCUPIED) HEAT SETPOINT:
Default 69˚F (21˚C) Use the Up Jand Down KButtons to adjust the OCC
Heat Setpoint. The allowable range is 38˚F to 88˚F (4˚C to 31˚C).
UNOCC (UNOCCUPIED) COOL SETPOINT:
Default 80˚F (27˚C) Use the Up Jand Down KButtons to adjust the
UNOCC Cool Setpoint. The allowable range is 60˚F to 108˚F (16˚C to 42˚C).
UNOCC (UNOCCUPIED) HEAT SETPOINT:
Default 60˚F (16˚C) Use the Up Jand Down KButtons to adjust the
UNOCC Heat Setpoint. The allowable range is 38˚F to 88˚F (4˚C to 31˚C).
TEMPERATURE OVERRIDE RANGE (DURING LOCKOUT):
Default: ±3˚F (±1.5˚C) This setting adjusts the temperature variance allowed
from the scheduled setpoint when the faceplate locked. The range is from
±2˚F (±1˚C) to ±5˚F(±2.5˚C).
OVERRIDE TIMER:
Default: 4 Hours Set the amount of time a setpoint override from the normal
schedule is active from 0 hours - 12 hours, in 10-minute increments. At the
end of the override time, the normal schedule will resume. Set to 0 hours to
completely remove setpoint adjustability from the thermostat front panel.
EXIT MENU:
To exit the menu press the right checkmark button M. This will return you to
the Main Thermostat Display.
FACTORY RESET:
While on the Exit Menu Screen, If you press the Up Jarrow, you will see
"Reset to Defaults?" on the dot matrix. Press the right button (accept) to
proceed and you will see " Are you sure?"
To conrm, press the right checkmark button Magain to reset.
CWARNING: This will erase all your Operator Menu Settings and the
Installer Menu Settings and return everything to factory default settings. This
is not reversible.
