TOR’SMANUALandthisMANUALhavebeenthoroughlyreadandunderstood.Improperoperationormaintenance
ofthismachinemaycauseaccidentsandcouldresultinseriousinjuryordeath.
Alwayskeepthemanualinstorage.
Ifitismissingordamaged,placeanorderwithanauthorizedourDistributorforareplacement.Ifyouhaveany
questions,pleaseconsultanauthorizedourDistributor.
1.Mostaccidents,whichoccurduringoperation,areduetoneglectofprecautionarymeasuresandsafetyrules.
Sufcientcareshouldbetakentoavoidtheseaccidents.Erroneousoperation,lubricationormaintenanceser-
vicesareverydangerousandmaycauseinjuryordeathofpersonnel.Thereforeallprecautionarymeasures,
NOTES,DANGERS,WARNINGSandCAUTIONScontainedinthemanualandonthemachineshouldberead
andunderstoodbyallpersonnelbeforestartinganyworkwithoronthemachine.
2.Operation,inspection,andmaintenanceshouldbecarefullycarriedout,andsafetymustbegiventherstpriority.
Messagesofsafetyareindicatedwithmarks.Thesafetyinformationcontainedinthemanualisintendedonlyto
supplementsafetycodes,insurancerequirements,locallaws,rulesandregulations.

Safetyprecautions
ATTENTION:Theproperandsafelubricationandmaintenanceforthismachine,recommendedbyManufacturer,are
outlinedintheOPERATOR’SMANUALforthemachine.
Improperperformanceoflubricationormaintenanceproceduresaredangerousandcouldresultininjuryordeath.
ReadandunderstandtheMANUALbeforeperforminganylubricationormaintenance.
Theservicemanormechanicmaybeunfamiliarwithmanyofthesystemsonthismachine.Thismakesitimportant
tousecautionwhenperformingservicework.Aknowledgeofthesystemandorcomponentsisimportantbeforethe
removalordisassemblyofanycomponent.
Becauseofthesizeofsomeofthemachinecomponents,theservicemanormechanicshouldchecktheweights
notedinthismanual.Useproperliftingprocedureswhenremovinganycomponents.
Thefollowingisalistofbasicprecautionsthatmustalwaysbeobserved.
1.ReadandunderstandallWarningplatesanddecalonthemachinebeforeOperating,MaintainingorRepairing
thismachine.
2.Alwayswearprotectiveglassesandprotectiveshoeswhenworkingaroundmachines.Inparticular,wearpro-
tectiveglasseswhenusinghammers,punchesordriftsonanypartofthemachineorattachments.Usewelders
gloves,hood/goggles,apronandtheprotectiveclothingappropriatetotheweldingjobbeingperformed.Donot
wearloosettingortornclothing.Removeallringsfromngers,loosejewelry,connelonghairandloosecloth-
ingbeforeworkingonthismachinery.
3.Disconnectthebatteryandhanga"DoNotOperate"tagintheOperatorsCompartment.Removeignitionkeys.
4.Ifpossible,makeallrepairswiththemachineparkedonarmlevelsurface.Blockthemachinesoitdoesnot
rollwhileworkingonorunderthemachine.Hanga"DoNotOperate"tagintheOperatorsCompartment.
5.Donotworkonanymachinethatissupportedonlybylift,jacksorahoist.Alwaysuseblocksorjackstands,
capableofsupportingthemachine,beforeperforminganydisassembly.
ATTENTION:DonotoperatethismachineunlessyouhavereadandunderstandtheinstructionsintheOPER-
ATOR’SMANUAL.Impropermachineoperationisdangerousandcouldresultininjuryordeath.
6.Relieveallpressureinair,oilorwatersystemsbeforeanylines,ttingsorrelateditemsaredisconnectedor
removed.Alwaysmakesureallraisedcomponentsareblockedcorrectlyandbealertforpossiblepressure
whendisconnectinganydevicefromasystemthatutilizespressure.
7.Lowerthebucket,dozer,orotherattachmentstothegroundbeforeperforminganyworkonthemachine.Ifthis
cannotbedone,makesurethebucket,dozer,ripperorotherattachmentisblockedcorrectlytopreventitfrom
droppingunexpectedly.
8.Usestepsandgrabhandleswhenmountingordismountingamachine.Cleananymudordebrisfromsteps,
walkwaysorworkplatformsbeforeusing.Alwaysfacetothemachinewhenusingsteps,laddersandwalkways.
Whenitisnotpossibletousethedesignedaccesssystem,provideladders,scaffolds,orworkplatformstoper-
formsaferepairoperations.
9.Toavoidbackinjury,useahoistwhenliftingcomponentswhichweigh20kg(45lbs)ormore.Makesureallchains,
hooks,slings,etc.,areingoodconditionandarethecorrectcapacity.Besurehooksarepositionedcorrectly.
Liftingeyesarenottobesideloadedduringaliftingoperation.
10.T oavoidburns,bealertforhotpartsonmachineswhichhavejustbeenstoppedandhotuidsinlines,tubes
andcompartments.
11.Becarefulwhenremovingcoverplates.Graduallybackoffthelasttwocapscrewsornutslocatedatopposite
endsofthecoverordeviceandcarefullyprycoverloosetorelieveanyspringorotherpressure,beforeremoving
thelasttwocapscrewsornutscompletely.
12.Becarefulwhenremovingllercaps,breathersandplugsonthemachine.Holdaragoverthecaporplugto
preventbeingsprayedorsplashedbyliquidsunderpressure.Thedangerisevengreaterifthemachinehasjust
beenstoppedbecauseuidscanbehot.
13.Alwaysusethepropertoolsthatareingoodconditionandthataresuitedforthejobathand.Besureyou
understandhowtousethembeforeperforminganyservicework.
14.Reinstallallfastenerswiththesamepartnumber.Donotusealesserqualityfastenerifreplacementsarenec-
essary.
15.Repairswhichrequireweldingshouldbeperformedonlywiththebenetoftheappropriatereferenceinforma-
tionandbypersonneladequatelytrainedandknowledgeableinweldingprocedures.Determinetypeofmetal

beingweldedandselectcorrectweldingprocedureandelectrodes,rodsorwiretoprovideaweldmetalstrength
equivalentatleasttothatoftheparentmetal.Makesuretodisconnectbatterybeforeanyweldingprocedures
areattempted.
16.Donotdamagewiringduringremovaloperations.Reinstallthewiringsoitisnotdamagednorwillbedamaged
inoperationofthemachinebycontactingsharpcorners,orbyrubbingagainstsomeobjectorhotsurface.Do
notconnectwiringtoalinecontaininguid.
17.Besureallprotectivedevicesincludingguardsandshieldsareproperlyinstalledandfunctioningcorrectlybefore
startingarepair.Ifaguardorshieldmustberemovedtoperformtherepairwork,useextracautionandreplace
theguardorshieldafterrepairiscompleted.
18.Themaintenanceandrepairworkwhileholdingthebucketraisedisdangerousduetothepossibilityofafalling
attachment.Don’tfailtolowertheattachmentandplacethebuckettothegroundbeforestartingthework.
19.Looseordamagedfuel,lubricantandhydrauliclines,tubesandhosescancauseres.Donotbendorstrike
highpressurelinesorinstalloneswhichhavebeenbentordamaged.Inspectlines,tubesandhosescarefully.
Donotcheckforleakswithyourhands.Verysmall(pinhole)leakscanresultinahighvelocityoilstreamthat
willbeinvisibleclosetothehose.Thisoilcanpenetratetheskinandcausepersonalinjury.Usecard-boardor
papertolocatepinholeleaks.
20.Tightenconnectionstothecorrecttorque.Makesurethatallheatshields,clampsandguardsareinstalledcor-
rectlytoavoidexcessiveheat,vibrationorrubbingagainstotherpartsduringoperation.Shieldsthatprotect
againstoilsprayontohotexhaustcomponentsineventofaline,tubeorsealfailuremustbeinstalledcorrectly.
21.Donotoperateamachineifanyrotatingpartisdamagedorcontactsanyotherpartduringoperation.Anyhigh
speedrotatingcomponentthathasbeendamagedoralteredshouldbecheckedforbalancebeforereusing.
22.Becarefulwhenservicingorseparatingthetracks(crawlers).Chipscanywhenremovingorinstallingatrack
(crawlers)pin.Wearsafetyglassesandlongsleeveprotectiveclothing.Tracks(crawlers)canunrollveryquickly
whenseparated.Keepawayfromfrontandrearofmachine.Themachinecanmoveunexpectedlywhenboth
tracks(crawlers)aredisengagedfromthesprockets.Blockthemachinetopreventitfrommoving.

Cleaningmachines
Cleanmachinesofsoil,mud,anddustbeforecarryingintotheserviceshop.Carryingasoiledmachineintothe
serviceshop,causesmakinglessefcientworkanddamageofparts.
Inspectingmachines
Conrmthedisassemblingsectionbeforestartingwork,determinethedisassemblyproceduretakingtheconditions
inworkshopintoaccount,andrequesttoprocurenecessarypartsinadvance.
Recording
Recordthefollowingitemstokeepcontactandpreventmalfunctionfromrecurring:
1.Inspectingdate,place
2.Modelname,serialnumberandrecordonhourmeter
3.Troublecondition,place,cause
4.Visibleoilleak,waterleakanddamage
5.Cloggingoflters,oillevel,oilquality,oilcontaminationandlooseness.
6.Examinetheproblemsonthebasisofmonthlyoperationratewiththelastinspectiondateandrecordsonhourme-
ter.

1.Toolsrequiredforrepairwork.
2.Preparetheplacestoputthedisassembledparts.
3.Prepareoilpansforleakingoil,etc.

1.Wearappropriateclothing,safetyshoes,safetyhelmet,goggles,andclotheswithlongsleeves.
2.Attach“Don’toperate”tagtocontrollever,andbeginameetingbeforestartingthework.
3.Beforestartinginspectionandmaintenancestoptheengine.
4.Conrmthepositionofrst-aidkitandreextinguisher,andalsowheretomakecontactforemergencymeasure
andambulancetoprepareforaccidentsandre.
5.Chooseahard,leverandsafeplace,andputattachmentonthegroundwithoutfail.
6.Usehoist,etc.toremovepartsofheavyweight(23kg(51lb)ormore).
7.Usepropertools,andchangeorrepairdefectivetools.
8.Machineandattachmentrequiredtoworkintheliftingconditionshouldbesupportedwithsupportsorblocksse-
curely.
DISASSEMBLINGANDASSEMBLINGHYDRAULICEQUIPMENT
Removinghydraulicequipmentassy
1.Beforeremovingpipes,releasethepressureofhydraulicoiltank,oropenthecoveronthereturnsidetotank,and
takeoutthelter.
2.Draintheoilintheremovedpipesintopantopreventtheoilfromspillingontheground.
3.Pipeswithplugsorcapstopreventoilleaking,entryofdust,etc.
4.Cleantheoutsidesurfaceofequipment,etc.beforedisassembling,anddrainhydraulicoilandgearoilbefore
puttingthemonworkingbench.
Disassemblinghydraulicequipment
1.Sinceperformanceandfunctionofhydraulicequipmentafterdisassemblyandassemblyresultsinimmunityfrom
responsibilityonthemanufacture’sside,disassembly,assemblyandmodicationwithoutpermissionarestrictly
prohibited.
2.Ifitisunavoidablynecessarytodisassembleandmodify,itshouldbecarriedoutbyexpertsorpersonnelqualied
throughservicetraining.
3.Makematchmarkonpartsforreassembling.
4.Beforedisassembling,readdisassemblinginstructioninadvance,anddetermineifthedisassemblyandassembly
arepermittedornot.
5.Forpartswhicharerequiredtousejigandtools,don’tfailtousethespeciedjigandtools.
6.Forpartswhichcannotberemovedinthespeciedprocedure,neverforceremoval.Firstcheckforthecause.
7.Theremovedpartsshouldbeputinorderandtaggedsoastoinstallonproperplaceswithoutconfusion.
8.Forcommonparts,payattentiontothequantityandplaces.
Inspectingparts
1.Checkthatthedisassembledpartsarefreefromadherence,interferenceandunevenworkingface.
2.Measurethewearofpartsandclearance,andrecordthemeasuredvalues.

3.Ifanabnormalityisdetected,repairorreplacetheparts.
Reassemblinghydraulicequipment
1.Duringthepartscleaning,ventilatetheroom.
2.Beforeassembly,cleanpartsroughlyrst,andthencompletely.
3.Removeadheringoilbycompressedair,andapplyhydraulicoilorgearoil,andthenassemblethem.
4.ReplacetheremovedO-ring,back-upringsandoilsealwithnewones,andapplygreaseoilonthembefore
assembling.
5.Removesdirtandwateronthesurfaceonwhichliquidsealantareapplied,decreasethem,andapplyliquidsealant
onthem.
6.Beforeassembling,removerustpreventivesonnewparts.
7.Usespecialtoolstotbearings,bushingandoilseal.
8.Assemblepartsmatchingtothemarks.
9.Aftercompletion,checkthatthereisnoomissionofparts.
Installinghydraulicequipment
1.Conrmhydraulicoilandlubricationoil.
2.Airreleaseisrequiredinthefollowingcases:
A.Changeofhydraulicoil
B.Replacementofpartsonsuctionpipeside
C.Removingandattachinghydraulicpump

3.Forairbleedofhydraulicpumpandswingmotor,
loosendrainplugontheupperpart,startengine,and
runinlowidling,thenbleedairuntilhydraulicoilis
comesout.Aftercompletionofcomes,tightenplug
securely.
4.Forairbleedoftravelmotorandhydrauliccylinder,
startsengineandoperateitfor10minormoreatno
loadandlowspeed.
5.Airinpilotcircuitcanbebleedoutbyonlyoperating
digging,swingandtravelingmotionsthoroughly.
6.Checkhydraulicoillevel.
Moveattachmentstohydraulicoilcheckposition,and
checkhydraulicoilleveloftank.Relloiliftheoillevel
islowerthanthespeciedlevel.
Howtocheckoillevelofhydraulicoiltank.

1.Thedisassemblyofelectricalequipmentisnotallowed.
2.Handleequipmentwithcaresoasnottodropitorbumpit.
3.Connectorshouldberemovedbyunlockingwhileholdingtheconnector.
Neverstressintensiontothecaulkedsectionbypullingwire.
4.Checkthatconnectorisconnectedandlockedcompletely.
5.EnginekeyOffbeforeremovingandconnectingconnector.
6.EnginekeyOffbeforetouchingterminalsofstarterandalternator.
7.Removebatterygroundingterminalbeforebeginningworkclosetobatteryandbatteryrelaywithtools.
8.Washmachinewithcaresoasnottosplashwateronelectricalequipmentandconnector.
9.Whenwaterhasenteredinthewaterproofedconnector,theremovingofwaterisnoteasy.Sochecktheremoved
