INTRODUCTION
Congratulations and thank you for purchasing the NewHank Workmate mixer.
This mixer is a representation of NewHank’s continuing commitment to produce the best and highest quality
audio products possible at an affordable price-point.
Please carefully read and understand the instructions in this manual thoroughly before attempting to
operate this unit.
These instructions contain important safety information regarding the use and maintenance of this unit.
Take special care to follow all warning symbols and labels both on the unit and printed in this manual.
Please keep this manual with the unit, for future reference.
Do not discard the packing carton in the trash. Please recycle whenever possible.

GETTING STARTED THE BASIC PRINCIPLES
1. Study the diagrams on page 4 and 5.
3. Make sure all devices are turned off and all faders, zone and gain rotary’s are set to "zero”.
4. Connect all your stereo input sources as indicated in Figure 2
onpage5.
5. Connect the stereo outputs to power amplifier(s), powered speakers and so on.
6. Plug all devices into AC power.
7. Always switch your system on in the following sequence:
1. Audio input sources (like DVD- CD Players, Tuners etc).
2. Mixer.
3. Amplifiers, Powered speakers etc.
Always switch your system off in reverse sequence:
1. Amplifiers, Powered speakers etc.
2. Mixer.
3. Audio input sources (like DVD- CD Players, Tuners etc).

SAFETY WARNING
*When installing this mixer, please make sure that the device is not exposed or will not be
exposed to extreme heat, moisture or dust.
*Do not operate the mixer in extremely hot (more than 40°C/104°F) or extremely cold (less than
5°C/40°F) surroundings.
*Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from heaters and water.
*Operate the mixer only after becoming familiar with its functions.
*Do not attempt to operate this mixer if the power cord has been damaged.
*Never operate this mixer when the cover is removed.
*To reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not expose this mixer to rain or moisture.
* During long periods of non-use, disconnect the mixer' s main power.

FACE PANEL FUNCTIONS

1. MODE -- Mode is the source switching key, the unit can play from USB, SD and BLUETOOTH
sources.
2. PLAY/PAUSE KEY --Press for for Play, Press again for Pause.
3. STOP KEY -- Press for Stop.
4. REPEAT KEY -- Press to repeat the current track, Press again to resume .
5. PREVIOUS TRACK -- Press this button briefly during play to play the previous track.
6. NEXT TRACK -- Press this button briefly during play to play the next track
7. F- -- Press this button briefly to browse to the previous folder.
8. F+ -- Press this button briefly to browse to the next folder.
9. EQ -- Press this button to change the EQ settings of the Player.
10. SCREEN -- LCD Displaying Removable Media, Time Track and Title.
11. CHANNEL GAIN -- Adjusts the pre-fader and pre-EQ input gain.
12. CHANNEL HIGH -- Adjust the Channel High Frequencies.
13. CHANNEL LOW -- Adjusts the Channel Low Frequencies.
14. INPUT SELECTOR -- Selects the input source to be routed to the corresponding channel.
15. CHANNEL FADER --Adjusts the audio level on the corresponding channel.
16. BOOTH -- Is a second and adjustable stereo Master output.
17. BALANCE --Adjusts your left to right balance on both the RCA and XLR Master outputs.
18. MASTER --Adjusts the main master output volume.
19. LED VU METERS -- Indication of the master output level.
20. MIC INPUT -- allows you to connect a microphone with a 6.3mm connector.
21. MIC VOLUME --Adjusts the audio level of the microphone signal.
22. MIC TREBLE --Adjusts the high (treble) frequencies of the microphone channel.
23. MIC BASS --Adjusts the low (low) frequencies of the microphone channel.
24. CROSSFADER ASSIGN -- Enables you to route 1of 4 channels via the cross fader.
Now you can use 1 fader to simply mix 2 channels.
25. CROSSFADER -- Blends audio between the channels assigned to the left and right side of
the crossfader.

26. CUE CH 1 - Sends the channel 1 pre-fader signal to the headphones when engaged.
27. CUE CH 2 - Sends the channel 2 pre-fader signal to the headphones when engaged.
28. CUE CH 3 - Sends the channel 3 pre-fader signal to the headphones when engaged.
29. CUE CH 4 - Sends the channel 4 pre-fader signal to the headphones when engaged.
30. MASTER MONITORING - Sends the Output signal to headphones when engaged.
31. HEADPHONES VOLUME- Adjusts the headphone output level.
32. HEADPHONES - 6.3MM Stereo Headphone connector.
33. POWER SWITCH -- Mains power ON/OFF switch. Before you turn on the power, be sure that you
have made all connections to the mixer. Also check that amplifiers are turned off. Remember mixer on
first and turned off last.

34. CH1 PHONO1 – Turntables can be connected to these jacks. The red colored RCA jack represents
the right channel input and the white jack the left channel input.
35. CH1 LINE1 -- Do not connect turntable’s to these jacks. CD players, Tap e decks or other line level
sources can be connected. The red colored RCA jack represents the right channel input and the
white jack the left channel input.
36. CH2 AUX1 --Do not connect turntable’s to these jacks. CD players, Tap e decks or other line level
sources can be connected. The red colored RCA jack represents the right channel input and the
white jack the left channel input.
37. CH2 PHONO2 – Turntables can be connected to these jacks. The red colored RCA jack represents
the right channel input and the white jack the left channel input.
38. CH2 LINE2 -- Do not connect turntable’s to these jacks. CD players, Tap e decks or other line level
sources can be connected. The red colored RCA jack represents the right channel input and the
white jack the left channel input.
39. CH3 AUX2 -- Do not connect turntable’s to these jacks. CD players, Tap e decks or other line level
sources can be connected. The red colored RCA jack represents the right channel input and the
white jack the left channel input.
40. CH3 LINE3 -- Do not connect turntable’s to these jacks. CD players, Tap e decks or other line level
sources can be connected. The red colored RCA jack represents the right channel input and the
white jack the left channel input.

41. CH3 MIC 1 -- Connect a microphone to this 6.3mm input.
42. CH4 AUX3 --Do not connect turntable’s to these jacks. CD players, Tap e decks or other line level
sources can be connected. The red colored RCA jack represents the right channel input and the
white jack the left channel input.
43. CH4 LINE4 --Do not connect turntable’s to these jacks. CD players, Tap e decks or other line level
sources can be connected. The red colored RCA jack represents the right channel input and the
white jack the left channel input.
44. CH4 MIC 2 -- Connect a microphone to this 6.3mm input.
45. REC-- Use this RCA fixed output signal for recording etc
46. MASTER -- Unbalanced RCA stereo output for short cable runs.
47. BALANCED XLR --Balanced stereo output for short and long cable runs.
48. BOOTH --Use this output signal to drive a booth monitor or separate sound
system. The output level for these 6.3mm jacks is controlled by the BOOTH volume knob(16).
49. IEC POWER SOCKET -- Connects to mains with the supplied power-cord.
