REPLACEMENT OF MAIN W
ORKSTATION
NOTE:
This document provide
s
the guidelines for the replacement of the computer directly connected to the scanner
(Main WS).
The provided code 9660089 includes the following parts:

97661231 - LAN PCI-E CARD
97661 66 – GRAPHIC ADAPTER FOR HP WORKSTATION
97661625 - CANBUS PCI-E KVASER CARD
1)
SETTINGS
BACKUP
In case the original workstation is still accessible, perform the following backups::
•Configuration data and calibration of the device (Menu File → Settings Backup).
•Patient exam.
•Network configuration (IP Address, Workgroup, Domain Name…).
•Potential personal files and documents, which needs to be restored in the new workstation.

CARD INSTALLATION
Mount the LAN card included in the package inside the
workstation. For the complete and detailed installation
procedure, refer to the corresponding documentation (
“Service Manual” (VGi – 5G) or “Workstation Setup
Annex” (VGi evo – 5G XL).

CANBUS
TERMINATOR CONNECTOR
Insert the CANBUS terminator on the CANBUS PCI card
and connect the CAN cable that comes from the scanner
(see image on the side).

Install the NNT software.
For com atibility reason with the OS reloaded in the rovided workstation (WIN 7 64 bit) it is mandatory
to install a version of NNT not revious to release 6.0.
•Install the flap panel driver. For the complete and detailed installation procedure, refer to the corresponding
documentation ( “Service Manual” (VGi – 5G) or “Workstation Setup Annex” (VGi evo – 5G XL)
•Restore the network configuration (IP Address, Workgroup, Domain Name …) previously backed up.
•Restore the backup of the NNT configuration and calibration files. In case these files are not available, perform a
complete calibration of the device including Kv setup, mA setup, beam limiter calibration and geometric calibration.
For details on these procedures, refer to the corresponding Service Manual.

VERIFY SYSTE
M CALIBRATION
Perform a QA scan and verify that all the results of the analysis are inside the expected ranges.
