SC500 How To
Prepare for Use

This is how the machine
should look when you
enter the room.

Disconnect battery
charger, store onboard
charger cord and lower
the recovery tank lid.

Inspect and prepare to
Install proper pad or
brush under the deck.
Pad and Brush Installation REV Model
1
Install pad under deck.
Line up evenly
(do not
remove center section of
pad)
. To remove primary
pad, slide hand between
pad and scrub-head face
.

Floor finish removal –
First - Install a new
primary floor pad (red or
white only). Pre-wet spp
pad. Then install SPP pad
(between the primary floor pad
and the floor).

Rev brush is optional. To
install align brush tabs
and scrub head then
tighten thumb screws.

Install brush manually by
lifting brush into place
then slightly rotate to lock
in place.
2Install brush automatically –
center brush or pad under
scrub head, set to minimum
speed, activate scrub
system then press motion
paddle to start scrub system.

Verify recovery tank is
empty, inspect ball float
and cage and inspect
debris catch cage.

Inspect blades for wear. If
worn, remove retaining
strap, flip or replace
blades, install squeegee.
Do not over tighten
knobs.
3Do a walk-around
inspection.
Fill machine
with clean water (water should
not exceed 104°F).
EcoFlex
system – add correct
detergent.
4Turn on machine and verify
battery power. Press paddle
forward or pull for backward
motion
(adjust speed if needed).
Change steering direction by
pushing handle to left or
right. Transport to cleaning
area.

Scrubbing
1Familiarize yourself
with the operator
controls. Yellow Super
user access key allows
operator to adjust
settings.
2Gray operator key
allows user to begin
cleaning without
changing/adjusting
machine settings.
3Turn machine on.
Lower squeegee to the
floor. Press the one
touch scrub button then
press motion paddles
to activate scrubbing.
Adjustments while Scrubbing
1Adjust water flow
(as
needed)
. EcoFlex
Chemical Settings for
dilution ratio (must have
yellow super-user key)
.
2Burst of power delivers
more water, detergent
and pressure to clean
stubborn areas.
Remaining battery
power displayed by
Battery Power
Indicator.
3Adjust Scrub Pressure
settings to increase
scrub pressure.
Vacuum systems
settings can be
adjusted to normal,
quiet or vacuum off.
Vacuum off is used during
double-scrubbing.

Use settings above to
remove finish
(REV model
only).
Buffer pad must be
used between the SPP
pad and the velcro
surface face on the
scrub head (this prevents
damage to scrub head)

complete, empty
solution and recovery
tank into proper drain.

Store the Machine (Daily Maintenance)

Empty and clean
recovery tank. Remove,
empty and clean debris
catch cage. Rinse and
clean ball float cage.

Remove, rinse and
inspect squeegee and
blades.

Remove and inspect
the brush or pad. Rinse
pad then set aside to
dry.
4Lift up recovery tank lid
for ventilation. Charge
the batteries. Take a
clean damp cloth and
wipe down exterior of
machine.
Check battery fluid level
– refill as needed (wet
batteries only)
. Clean
solution filter. Purge
EcoFlex System by
pressing both the
solution and chemical
buttons.

For uneven wear
across the squeegee,
adjust the squeegee
pitch by turn the knob
until squeegee glides
evenly on the floor.

Check motor carbon
brushes
(vacuum motor and
scrub deck motor)

operator manual for

carbon brush inspection
and replacement help
