• Be alert of your surroundings. Using a winch cradle in confined work areas may put you
dangerously close to cutting tools.
PERSONAL SAFETY
• Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such
as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate
conditions will reduce personal injuries.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and
gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving
parts.
TOOL USE AND CARE
• Do not attempt to mount more than the rated maximum capacity of the winch.
• Store idle winch cradle out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar
with the winch or these instructions to operate it.
• Maintain your winch cradle. Check for bent or damaged parts and any other conditions.
If damaged, have the winch cradle repaired before use or discard entirely.
• Use the winch cradle and accessories in accordance with these instructions, taking into
account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the winch cradle
base for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
OPERATION
Step 1: Take the winch cradle out of the carton.
Step 2: Insert the mount into the receiver of the vehicle. Secure the winch cradle and winch by
inserting the linchpin (not included) through the holes.
Step 3: Assemble the winch on the winch cradle with bolt and nut (not included).
MAINTENANCE
• Maintain your Winch Cradle. Before each use, inspect the general condition of the winch
cradle. Check for loose hardware, misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken
parts and any other condition that may affect its safe operation.
• Keep all moving parts lightly lubricated to prevent corrosion.
• After use, wipe external surfaces of the tool with clean cloth.
