Thank you for purchasing the MARGARITA & SLUSH MAKER from Nostalgia™!
Using standard ice cubes, now you can shave, blend, shave-pulse, and blend-
pulse your way to perfectly made margaritas, daiquiris or smoothies, every time!
Equipped with a generously-sized 56 ounce glass pitcher with liquid measurements
on the side, this unit works wonderfully for small groups and parties. With the
MARGARITA & SLUSH MAKER, creating refreshing, icy drinks is fun and easy!

Parts
Assembly
Before rst use, thoroughly wash all parts by following the
instructions under CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE.
1. Screw the Blending Blade into the Blending Base. Be sure rubber washer is in place.
2. Set the Pitcher Lid onto the mouth of the Pitcher.
NOTE: The Ice Shaving Chute moves up and down to allow for the insertion of the pitcher.
Tip the pitcher slightly as you insert the mouth of the pitcher under the Ice Shaving Chute,
pushing upwards and simultaneously set the Pitcher base onto the Blending Gear.
3. Ice Compartment Lid can be opened by pushing inward on the
tab located on one side of the clear lid and lifting.
4. Ice Tray can be removed by pushing inward on the tab located at the rear of the unit and
lifting. To replace, insert the front of the Ice Tray into the notches at the front of the unit
and snap the back of the Ice Tray into place. The Ice Tray should t smoothly into place.

HOW TO OPERATE
Now that your MARGARITA & SLUSH MAKER is pre-cleaned and
assembled, making perfect frozen drinks is both easy and fun!
1. First, nd a stable surface near an electrical outlet before starting. Make sure the
cord is away from any water source. Check the Power/Function Selection Buttons
panel and make sure unit is in the OFF position before plugging unit into outlet.
2. Fill the Pitcher with your favorite liquor, drink mix or fruit. You may choose
to follow one of the recipes included in this Instruction Manual.
3. Put the Pitcher Lid on the Pitcher and set the Pitcher in place.
4. Set aside a dish of ice cubes and allow ice to sit for about 5-10 minutes, or
until ice has slightly melted and does not have a frosty appearance.
5. Open the Ice Shaving Compartment by pushing the tab on the clear lid
inwards. Make sure the compartment is free of any foreign objects.
6. Add enough ice cubes to reach, but not exceed, the MAX ICE line.
7. Close the Ice Compartment lid. The Ice Compartment Lid should
close and snap shut with the lid tting smoothly into place.
8. To begin making your beverage, select and push the desired Power/Function
Selection Button located at the top of the MARGARITA & SLUSH MAKER.
Power/Function Selection Button options:
• OFF - Red button that stops all blending and shaving.
• Shave - Operates upper motor and shaves ice located in the Ice Shaving Compartment.
• Blend: Operates lower motor and Blending Blade.
• Shave Blend: Operates both upper and lower motors to simultaneously shave and blend.
9. Allow ice to shave to desired consistency, then press the OFF button.
NOTE: This is not a commercial unit. DO NOT leave the unit
running for more than 3 minutes at a time.
10. Wait until all moving parts have stopped and the unit is unplugged
from the outlet before moving or cleaning the unit.

HELPFUL TIPS
Shaving Ice
• For best results, let ice sit in a separate bowl or container for 5-10 minutes
before putting in Ice Shaving Chamber. Ice should not have a frosty
appearance and should be slightly melted before shaving.
• The Pitcher is able to hold more liquid than the uid ounce measurements allow,
but has been marked to prevent spillage resulting from ice shaving volume.
If using the Ice Shaving Chamber, make sure to ll the Pitcher with no more
than 24-ounces of liquid. Exceeding this amount will result in spillage.
• Prior to each use, make sure that Blending Base has been
tightened for optimal shaving results.
• To prolong the life of your MARGARITA & SLUSH MAKER, allow
5 minutes for unit to cool before using again.
• Should the unit operate slowly, turn o the unit and wait 10 minutes for unit to
cool down before operating. Make sure all shaving areas are free of debris.
• DO NOT leave unit running for more than 3 minutes at a time. This is not a commercial unit.
• DO NOT use the Pitcher to blend ice. The Ice Shaving Compartment is for ice shaving.
Odor
As with most modern blending appliances, this unit has a high RPM electric
motor. It is common for the motor to emit a slight graphite or burning odor
for the rst few uses. After the rst few uses, the odor will go away.
Location of Water Reservoir and Cord
The Water Reservoir and cord are located at the back of the Ice Shaving Chamber.
NOTE: Be sure water in Water Reservoir does not exceed the MAX
line. Be sure to empty Water Reservoir after every use.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
1. After using your MARGARITA & SLUSH MAKER, disconnect the unit from
the electrical outlet. Remove plug by gripping the plug body and pulling
out of the outlet. Never yank or twist cord to unplug the unit.
2. Thoroughly wash the Pitcher, Pitcher Lid, Blending Blade, Blending Base,
Ice Tray, Ice Compartment Lid and Water Reservoir in warm, sudsy water
and thoroughly dry. DO NOT put the Base in water. To clean the Base, use
a damp cloth to wipe the exterior and dry with a clean, dry towel.
3. Once washing and drying is complete, reassemble your MARGARITA & SLUSH
MAKER. Wind the cord and return to the convenient storage location at the back of
the Motor Base. Now your MARGARITA & SLUSH MAKER is ready to use again.
Changing the Blade
CAUTION: BLADE IS EXTREMELY SHARP! Use extreme caution when removing and
handling the Blade.
Once blade becomes dull, it will need to be changed. You may also want to
periodically take apart the Ice Shaving Chamber to clean all of the parts inside.
Removing the Blade:
1. Begin by removing the Ice Shaving Compartment from the top of the unit. Compartment
can be removed by pushing the tab at the rear of the unit and lifting up.
2. Turn the Spinner counterclockwise to unlock. Lift up the Spinner to remove.
3. Carefully press tabs of Blade Housing inward and lift up.
4. Twist o Blade Cap to release the Blade.

PIÈCES ET ASSEMBLAGE

Assemblage
Avant la première utilisation, laver soigneusement toutes les pièces en
suivant les instructions de la section NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN.
1. Visser le Couteau du mélangeur dans le Socle du mélangeur.S’assurer
que le joint en caoutchouc est bien en place.
2. Poser le Couvercle du Pichet sur l’ouverture du Pichet.
REMARQUE : Le Conduit de glace pilée se déplace de haut en bas an de permettre
l’installation du Pichet.Pencher légèrement le Pichet pour insérer l’ouverture
du Pichet sous le Conduit de glace pilée, en poussant vers le haut et en posant
simultanément mis le Socle du Pichet sur l’Entraînement du mélangeur.
3. Le Couvercle du réservoir à glaçon peut être ouvert en poussant vers
l'intérieur sur l'onglet situé sur le côté du couvercle transparent et lever.
4. Le Plateau à glace peut être enlevé en poussant sur l'onglet situé à l’arrière
de l’appareil et lever. Pour le remettre, insérer l’avant du Plateau à glace
dans les encoches à l'avant de l'appareil et enclencher l'arrière du Plateau
à glace en place.Le plateau à glace devrait s’insérer facilement.
Vous êtes maintenant prêt à proter des boissons et margaritas glacées froides

MODE DE FONCTIONNEMENT
Maintenant que votre MACHINE À MARGARITA ET BARBOTINE a été nettoyée au préalable
et assemblée, concocter des boissons glacées parfaites est maintenant facile et amusant!
1. Premièrement, trouver une surface stable, à proximité d'une prise de courant avant
de commencer.S'assurer que le cordon électrique est éloigné de toute source d'eau.
Vérier sur le panneau que les boutons Mise sous tension/Sélecteur de fonctions
de l’appareil sont tous à la position ARRÊT (OFF) avant de brancher l’appareil.
2. Remplir le Pichet avec votre spiritueux, mélange de boissons ou fruits.Vous pouvez
utiliser une des recettes suivantes contenues dans ce manuel d'instructions.
3. Poser le couvercle du Pichet sur le Pichet et le mettre en place.
4. Mettre de côté un plat de glaçons et les laisser se reposer pour environ 5 à 10 minutes,
ou jusqu'à ce que la glace ait légèrement fondu et n’ait aucun aspect givré.
5. Ouvrir le Réservoir à glaçon en poussant la languette sur le couvercle transparent
vers l'intérieur.S’assurer que le compartiment ne contient aucun objet étranger.
6. Ajouter susamment de glaçons, mais sans dépasser la ligne MAX GLAÇONS (MAX ICE).
7. Fermer le Couvercle du réservoir à glaçon.Le Couvercle du réservoir à
glaçon devrait se fermer d’un coup sec et le couvercle bien en place.
8. Pour commencer à produire vos boissons, sélectionner et pousser le
bouton Mise sous tension (Power)/Sélecteur de fonctions situé sur
le dessus de la MACHINE À MARGARITA ET BARBOTINE.
Boutons Mise sous tension/Sélecteur de fonctions :
• ARRÊT (OFF) : Bouton rouge arrête le mélangeur et le pilage.
• Piler : Fait fonctionner le moteur du haut et fait de la
glace pilée situé dans le Réservoir à glaçon.
• Mélanger : Fait fonctionner le moteur du bas et les Couteaux du mélangeur.
• Piler et mélanger : Fait fonctionner les moteurs du haut et
du bas simultanément pour piler et mélanger.
9. Permet de piler les glaçons à la consistance désirée ensuite appuyer sur le bouton ARRÊT.
REMARQUE : Ceci n’est pas un appareil commercial.NE PAS faire
fonctionner l’appareil plus de 3 minutes à la fois.
10. Attendre jusqu'à ce que toutes les pièces mobiles soient arrêtées et
l'appareil débranché de la prise avant de le déplacer ou le nettoyer.

CONSEILS UTILES
Piler les glaçons
• Pour de meilleurs résultats, laisser les glaçons se reposer 5 à 10 minutes dans un bol
ou un contenant séparé avant de les mettre dans le Réservoir à glaçon.Les glaçons ne
devraient pas avoir un aspect givré et devraient être légèrement fondus avant le pilage.
• Le Pichet est en mesure de contenir plus de liquide que la quantité mesurée indiquée,
mais a été réduit pour éviter les déversements résultants du volume de glace pilée.
Si vous utilisez le Réservoir à glaçon, assurez-vous de ne pas remplir le Pichet avec plus
de 0,7 l (24 oz) de liquide.Dépasser cette quantité se traduira par un déversement.
• Avant chaque utilisation, s’assurer que le Socle du mélangeur a bien
été serré pour obtenir une quantité optimale de glace pilée.
• Pour prolonger la durée de vie de votre MACHINE À MARGARITA ET BARBOTINE,
attendre 5 minutes pour que l'appareil se refroidisse avant de l'utiliser.
• Si l'appareil fonctionne lentement, le mettre hors tension et attendre
10 minutes pour qu’il se refroidisse avant de l'utiliser.S’assurer
que tous les endroits pour piler sont exempt de débris.
• NE PAS laisser l’appareil fonctionner pour plus de 3 minutes
à la fois.Ceci n’est pas un appareil commercial.
• NE PAS utiliser le Pichet pour piler les glaçons.Le Réservoir à glaçon est pour la glace pilée.
Odeur
Comme la plupart des appareils modernes, ce mélangeur est muni d'un moteur électrique à
haut régime.Il est courant que le moteur émette une odeur de brûler ou une légère odeur du
graphite lors des premières utilisations.Après les premières utilisations, l'odeur disparaîtra.
Emplacement du Réservoir d’eau et du Cordon
Le Réservoir d’eau ainsi que le Cordon sont situés à l’arrière du Réservoir à glaçon.
REMARQUE :S’assurer que le niveau d’eau du Réservoir d’eau ne dépasse pas la
ligne MAX.S’assurer de vider le Réservoir d’eau après chaque utilisation.

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN
1. Après l’utilisation de votre MACHINE À MARGARITA ET BARBOTINE, débrancher l’appareil
de la prise électrique.Retirer la che en la saisissant par le corps et en la retirant de la
prise de courant.Ne jamais tirer ou tordre le cordon pour débrancher l'appareil.
2. Laver soigneusement le Pichet, le Couvercle du pichet, le Couteau du mélangeur, le Socle
du mélangeur, le Plateau à glace, le Couvercle du réservoir à glaçon et le Réservoir d’eau à
l'eau chaude savonneuse et bien sécher.NE PAS plonger le Socle dans l'eau.Pour nettoyer le
Socle, utiliser un linge humide pour essuyer l'extérieur, et sécher avec une serviette propre.
3. Une fois le lavage et le séchage terminés, remonter votre MACHINE À MARGARITA
ET BARBOTINE.Enrouler le cordon et le remettre dans le compartiment de
rangement situé à l'arrière du Socle du moteur.Maintenant votre MACHINE
À MARGARITA ET BARBOTINE est de nouveau prête à être utilisée.
Changer la lame
MISE EN GARDE :LA LAME EST TRÈS TRANCHANTE!Soyez très prudent pendant le
démontage et la manipulation de la lame.
Lorsque la lame est émoussée, elle devra être changée.Vous pouvez également vouloir
démonter périodiquement le Réservoir à glaçon pour nettoyer toutes les pièces à l'intérieur.
Enlever le Lame :
1. Commencer par enlever le Réservoir à glaçon sur le dessus de l’appareil.Le réservoir peut
être enlevé en poussant sur l'onglet situé à l’arrière de l’appareil et en le soulevant.
2. Tourner l’Axe dans le sens antihoraire pour desserrer.Soulever l’Axe pour l’enlever.
3. Pousser avec précaution sur les onglets du Porte-lame vers l’intérieur et le soulever.
4. Tourner l’Anneau de retenue pour libérer la Lame.
